Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Leads To Disappointing Results For Warner Bros.

We hate talking about all these games that are "falling short of expectations" (SteamWorld Build was another one today), but it feels like they're coming thick and fast and the moment - and Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is the latest to suffer this fate.

As part of a recent financial call, Warner Bros. Discovery Chief Financial Officer Gunnar Wiedenfels reportedly stated that Kill The Justice League had "fallen short of our expectations" since its release earlier this month.

"This year, Suicide Squad, one of our key video game releases in 2024, has fallen short of our expectations since its release earlier in the quarter, setting our games business up for a tough year-over-year comp in Q1."

It's sad to see this, especially considering we gave the game a "Great" 8/10 in our review, as well the fact that it was apparently January's third best-selling "Premium" game in the United States - and that's across all platforms.

It's still hanging around in the "Top Paid" section of the Xbox Store as well, so even though Warner Bros. is clearly disappointed, we're inclined to believe it's not selling that badly. Then again, the company probably had major expectations for this one over the past few years!
