Its fine mate, I can see how you would not be impressed by this, especially if the first game didn't do anything for you.

The sequel looks to be taking all of that to the next level, so yes I'm definitely chuffed for it π.

@GamingFan4Lyf It just sucks that it's very apparent that Bungie is seemingly doing everything it can to remain independent only to potentially lose the fight
I agree, it does look like Bungie are trying all sorts of measures but staying independent might jut prove a bridge to far. Perhaps this was always part of Sony's cunning plan of giving Bungie independence π.
itll go in microsofts favour when after the Xmas sales figures are revealed, theyre gonna get smashed by Sony and Nintendo across the world,so there's always that
Yep, but that'll be just the normal service continued.
The more interesting thing is to follow if Microsoft, will use it as a pretext for future acquisitions to avoid getting smashed,...errr, to coin a phrase π π .
Still early days but will definitely be interesting to see how it goes.
to be fair ,ms need ps players more than Sony needs xbox players, and they know it, which is unfortunate but true
In fairness Microsoft only needs the whales(PS COD players) as well and Sony is more than happy to oblige.
They didn't just fly Jim Ryan around for sightseeing, they wanted guarantees on that 10 year COD deal.
Starfield, the upcoming Indiana Jones, perhaps even mainline TES IV prove Microsoft are wiling to take a hit....
There is concern among staff that Bungie may lose its independence within Sony should Destiny 2 fail to meet financial goals
The writing was always on the wall (Bungie loosing independence) for those privy to the ginormous caveat in the Sony acquisition deal.
Very few companies meet financial goals consistently, but I guess that what happens when management is high on the Fortnite kool-aid....
Edit: LOL at that R. McAffrey guy, has he been living under a rock since Microsoft acquired Bethesda? π
So Sony is a big swallowing corporate too? Just like microsoft?
No way man! We were led to believe via Sony fans advocacy that the blue team only do organic acquisitions and if not (see Bungie) they'll be wholly independent and in control of content release π (**).
IGN goes on to explain how it's believed the split board structure is all dependent on Bungie "meeting certain financial goals" and if it falls short Sony is reportedly allowed to "dissolve the existing board and take full control of the company
It might just be rumoured for now, but Sony taking full *control*always going to happen, it is/was just matter of when not if
They didn't spent 3.6 billion to have Bungie releasing their content multiplatform indefinitely.
It also means that the argument Sony fans were using to counter Microsoft acquisitions will be null and can be put out of its misery. The only difference between the two corporations and acquisitions is the scale and that's dictated by their respective purchasing power.
I don't know mate, as opposed to what, Horizon ZD or FW? Which are glittering and gold? π
Don't get me wrong, they're good games but couldn't have more Ubisoft formula systems even if they tried. Yet it's mostly Ubisoft games marked down for the template, figures π€.
Thanks for the link hombre, it makes for an interesting reading for sure, however I feel the specs are way beyond what one would call way to wild.
Honestly, if those rumours would be speculatives for the next gen PS/Xbox I would be very impressed, perhaps even going as high as 25TFLOPSπ.
But for the PS5pro? Definitely a big ask, I mean Sony are selling the PS portal for Β£199.99, what would they want for a 23TF PS5pro? Not saying is not coming, jut curious on the capabilities at a relatively reasonable price.
As for the next gen Xbox having an ARM chip, assuming they follow the leaked documents spec(the rumours source?) it will just throw a huge spanner in Microsoft's preservation strategy via BC. There is also a question of just how capable will the console be, DF were quite suspicious and scathing. Anyway interesting times ahead.
If the next PS has 45TFLOPS, it will be more or less like a full-sized fridge with arms, LED lights and wings... and wheels
....we'll just have to shift some furniture aroundπ π ... There was a time when people didn't buy Xbox consoles due to size...than the PS5 happened π€£
Surely that must be a typo mate, if those specs are anything close to genuine, than what will the PS6 be? A 45TFLOPS console? Hmmm, it sound way to outlandish to me, but hey the more(power) the merrier.
Edit : I dread to think what shape/size(the console) it will take to accommodate the cooling system to keep such a monster from meltingπ.
The team went on to explain that the reason Postal 4 isn't on Xbox is because it "doesn't fit their" library
Microsoft has an odd way with what fits their library. Many, many years ago Microsoft also deemed a little game called GTA not fitting with their library, then a few years later paid for timed DLC on said franchise an exorbitant amount of money. Strange. DISCLAIMER : Under no circumstances do I claim these games to be anywhere equal π.
I just think that if Microsoft were/are planning a more beefier SeriesX it would have more or less been some mention in the leaked documents but so far it's just a revised version of the X. Compared to the PS5 Pro rumours/leaks which look like an open secret, even DF were discussing the specs an the code name for it a while back. Who knows, maybe Microsoft will spring a surprise but not holding my breath on that for sure.
Would Microsoft release a more powerful console after PS5 Pro or would they wait for the "next generation" console?
If Microsoft plan to release their next gen console before Sony, it would tally up with you question perfectly.
With that said the Series X will be in a tight spot when all future big third-party AAA games have 60fps as a base option on PS5 Pro but struggle or completely missing on the X.
But i am sure by 2025 this will look even better and PC and PS5 pro will probably be the best place it shines the brightest
Definitely agree there, the trailer looked fantastic, perhaps bit too good for the current consoles. I can also see Sony going for the stratospheric option and secure advertising rights for GTA6, that'll shift a few PS5 Pro's.
I game mainly on my Series X but if MS donβt bring something out to rival the PS5 Pro then I think Iβd rather buy GTA VI for that to play it at its absolute best
I genuinely don't see Microsoft bringing a Pro version this gen. It makes no financial sense, the PS5 has reached that critical mass point and Sony will bank on its early adopters hardcore community to buy into such a device. Microsoft doesn't have that luxury, and that's unfortunate because I would probably get Series X Proπ...
I still consider RDR2 to be the absolute pinnacle of open world recreation bar none and its only fitting that it will be another R* made game to surpass it π. Looks fantastic.
