It's Time! Starfield Early Access Is Now Available On Xbox & PC

I just keep getting told I'm too early despite having the premium upgrade.

Yeah, premium upgrade apparently is not granting early access, hopefully just a glitch, as they did say Game Pass subscribers could upgrade to Premium for early access.

@Xeno_Aura @tallythwack @PLATINUM7 Have you tried fully rebooting your Xbox? I’ve had that happen for a launch game and a reboot fixed the problem - almost like the Xbox had to resync with Game Pass to acknowledge the proper time.

NOTE: It’s also possible that whatever issue Game Pass was having was coincidentally fixed during reboot time. 🤷‍♂️

Not working for me on Xbox even though I purchased the premium upgrade earlier on today.

It's a massive thing over on Steam too, Constellation edition owners can't play, so it's not even related to Game Pass Subs + Premium upgrade, seems like they didn't launch at the time said, or something overloaded and no-one can start.

Well it's working for me now!

Don't know if it helps but it worked right after I tried installing the artbook.

Spam it until it works. If it doesn't load, press cancel, try again. Repeat until it loads

Full restart,turned all power off at socket ect and it works now for me

Guys i figured it out. If youre on pc, open the starfield store page and go to editions. Then click the premium edition and click play then Starfield

I paid for early access and bought the starfield controller but after all the bad reviews I can’t bring myself to play it lol
Edit: MS did refund me for the premium bundle (i hadn't played it yet) was quick and easy

Funnily enough the mixed reviews have made me want to play this more so I'm going to try it on pc. I don't want 'perfect' it's too stressful.

I’d like hear people’s impressions on the game, I care less for reading reviews from different site’s reviewers, I want to hear from actual fellow gamers and even from the guys here on PureXbox.

I never got round to finishing Skyrim but completed both Fallout 3 and 4 with all their add-ons. Due to family and work, I think I’ll just be mostly exploring and doing the odd mission here and there as the game sounds like it’s massive.

@MaccaMUFC Two hours in. It's Fallout in space. If that sounds appealing, run, don't walk.

@awp69 it's not that the fact it isn't good lts great no doubt just the hype and everyone expecting it be the best game ever which is certainly isnt' now all that's out the way time to enjoy it for what it is.

The character creation is pretty good. I managed to make a young looking female and have made her a space scoundrel who grew up on the streets of Neon. Can't wait to get proper stuck in later today.

2 hours til I'm home from work to boot it up. Reckon I'll get through character creation then off to bed.

Reading the lower scoring reviews they mostly seem to not enjoy the main quest line but the only thing I can remember about Skyrims main quest is climbing a mountain and fighting a dragon at the top. Can't remember anything of Fallout 4 😂

Can't wait to get lost in this

Have game pass and just downloading the early access so I can play now.

I would never normally do this but just last night released from hospital surgery and have a month of work back home and thought I would treat myself as the surgery went really well.

The question is they sent me home with liquid morphine to take, do I take and play for the experience 😂😂😂

@Mauzuri Its on gamepass and its a bethusda game with a high 80s rating, I dont understand why you wouldnt want to play it?

It's clearly not got the feeling of 'exploration' that Id dreamed of, but what it has got is some fantastic stories that you can shape and grow in. Whilst it might get pipped for goty, its clearly a contender and a game every xbox player should try.

@LonelyMuthaShutYo I unfortunately have deleted a couple of games to get this, but to be fair I haven't played them for a few weeks.

@Mauzuri You have to open your heart and risk pain to feel true love. You have to dive into games you fancy and risk being dissapointed to find your classics.
Game pass is an excellent way to experience Starfield without a big outlay. I'm begginning to expect Mass Effect with more stories and systems rather than skyrim. Play it for what it is and the quailty will shine!
As for spidey 2, insomniac are one of the most bankable devs in the buisness. It will shine too (though I cant play, get motion sick with the swinging)
I hope you get to enjoy them both.

It took me about 20 minutes of trying before the game would allow me to play.

My guess is that the server had to authenticate all of the early access codes that were flooding in all at once.

I’m enjoying this game a lot. Most of the review complaints that I have noticed centered around loading screens, and other immersion-breaking things. Those are fair points, but nothing that bothers me. The gameplay has been great, and the little bit of quests that I did before going to bed were interesting. Can’t wait to play more after work today!

I joined GamePass Ultimate. Thanks to all of the community here, for recommending it. And downloaded Starfield.

I had preordered the disc edition from Amazon, and the Premium Edition Upgrade, download code, too. The premium content code should arrive within the next few hours. Should give me early access, right? While I wait for the disc version to arrive next week.

Got a scary email from Amazon, which suggests that even they are not sure it will work. But I shall let you know.

Redeemed the code for the Premium Content, and yes. It works. Played for about 45mins. Really impressed so far. Just landing on the first new planet.

Just a warning fo those who want to play on gamepass at 1am on the 6th.. be paitient the MS servers will crash and you might not be able to get into the game until up to 45 mins later (You are too early message). For EA which was a much smaller pool of players it took me 28 mins to get into the game.

I got seriously kelpto I picked up all manner of nonsense. Foam cups, bowls, a microscope! I got arrested for stealing a spoon by accident. Jeez… There went 17 credits.

I’ve already save scummed after I tried to kill an annoying NPC and have a city turn on me.

I just want to say to hell with so many of these gaming sites and YouTubers. They went out of their way to post spoilers, unwanted impressions in article titles, and review scores in thumbnails. No one wants their unsolicited opinions.

Starfield launches 9/6, with early access on 9/1. One timezone launch makes that 8/31 @8 PM (yesterday) due to New Zealand. These jerks posted as many information landmines as possible in the hours leading up to 8 PM. They just can't let anyone else go into the game as they did.

Yes. It works. Just used the store code for the Premium Edition content, and the game launches. So I also have a nice steel book case to use, once the disc version arrives next week.

I played about two hours last night. I like it just as much as any other Bethesda game that I've played. Everything seems top notch to me - presentation, audio/music, gameplay, graphics. I can tell a great amount of effort was put into this game. Definitely reminds me of Fallout and Cyberpunk mixed together. It looks like it could be Fallout 5. Cannot wait to dive back in today.
