I'm playing mostly Forza Horizon 5.
With the rumours that Halo Infinite's multiplayer could shadow drop this Monday, I'm glad I didn't start GTA San Andreas yet. Might not even start it at all...

@Nightcrawler71 since the multiplayer is its own thing, being free to play and all, I bet you can install just the campaign if you like.

@Microbius I'm playing on Series S. I tried both performance and quality mode and I prefer quality hands down. The frame rate is pretty smooth at 30 fps IMO and the loss on image quality at performance mode is more jarring than playing at a lower frame rate.

@Krzzystuff I like the Bronco a lot, it's in my list of favorites. But the Renault Mégane that we drive in one of the story missions stole my heart, it felt so good to drive that I immediately bought one (in-game, obvioulsy).

I wonder if the car manufactors actually pay for a chance to be featured in missions, since that's basically advertisement.

No way FH5 will be nominated for Game of the Year. Even if it's the best reviewed game of 2021, we know how those awards work. Only story driven action-adventure games or RPGs are seriously considered.

I can see Psychonauts 2 being nominated along with Deathloop, Resident Evil 8, It Takes Two, Metroid Dread and either Ratchet & Clank or Returnal.

Sadly Halo Infinite won't be out in time to qualify for TGA, but it could win BAFTA or DICE.

The Banished are not an alien race, they're an alien faction made up uf many races, including humans.

@BBB judging by past games from Rockstar on Xbox Game Pass, I think you will have only a couple of months to play it before it's gone.

My first GTA games was 5. I'm curious to give San Andreas a try, but I can't put Forza Horizon 5 aside!

With the amount of fun activities packed around the map, I think Playground would be be a great fit for making a platformer, like Banjo or Conker.

Next year? Hopefully they will show us at least a cgi teaser next week in Xbox 20th anniversary showcase.

@RedKnight34 I agree with you, I would scores FH5 much higher than 8. But it's okay if people have differential opinions. I'm not calling you out specifically, but I believe a lot of people here are too salty about that review.

I did. That's a very nice option for Game Passsubscribers. Usually I don't purchase ultimate editions or even DLC, but Forza Horizon expansions have been consistently awesome, so I don't mind paying for the Premium Add-ons. Being able to play it earlier is a great bonus as well.

@Originut Eurogamer in English doesn't give review scores, but they also have editions in other languages and some of them do use scores.

Oh, boy! I needed those features so much when I was hunting those damn figments. Some of them just blend with the background colors and are almost impossible to see. I swear to you that I got my last figment completely by accident. I just ran into it after searching for hours!

@TheIronChimp as much as I'd love to see Hexen, I don't think it qualifies as a "long-running iconic action FPS" as much as Quake or Doom.

Dead Space. The moment a giant tentacle comes out of nowhere, grabs Isaac by the foot and drags him into a hole in the wall. And all the subsequent moments when the game show similar corridors with holes in the wall in order to tease us about that happening again.

Also Dead Space 2, in the very beginning: "Press LB to run". If you played it, you'll know what I'm talking about 😆

State of decay 2 for me. I have over 150 hours on it... and I only started it a few weeks ago. I'm obsessed with this little gem.

@BlueOcean Undead Labs has done a fantastic job updating it since the release. Even after SoD 3 was announced they kept adding loads of content.

But in my opinion it's definitely a horror game. The permadeath mechanic keeps the stakes high, specially on higher difficulties. You're always a few mistakes from losing a valuable character.

You guys should have acknowledged State of Decay on the poll, since that's an Xbox exclusive and it's much better than The Evil Within... TEW wins hands down as the cheesiest horror game ever. All lines from Sebastián Castellanos are ultimate cringe 😆

I think the Forza Horizon characters are super obnoxious, surely the first hour of Riders' Republic would annoy the heck out of me...

@themightyant I think that's like a deluxe edition. For example, you get Forza Horizon 5 base game on game pass, but if you want the special edition with car pass and all future dlc you have to pay extra.

I would take Halo Infinite one year ago over slightly prettier graphics. It wasn't that bad to begin with.

I can't decide which is my favorite Halo from the original trilogy. They're all fantastic.

I hope Infinite will be up there, but if 343 manages to deliver a multiplayer as solid as 5's (which seems very likely) and a single player campaign that's actually good and replayable, it will be a win.

I can wait for a sale or Game Pass release.

For all people comparing Halo with Far Cry, just stop. It is not. Far Cry doesn't have smart AI enemies which make each encounter feel like a puzzle. It doesn't have such a rich sandbox that emphasizes weapons, grenades, melee, equipments and vehicles like Halo does. It's like comparing Bubsy the Cat with Mario just because they're both 2d side scroller characters.

I really like most Sony exclusives and I absolutely would like XGS to release some games like that: single-player, 3rd person, narrative heavy action-adventure.

What I don't like about Sony exclusives is that most of their game fit the same mold. Of course they make games in other genres, like Gran Turismo, MLB: The Show and LBP, but overall I think Microsoft is pursuing a more varied selection, which includes FPS, WRPG, RTS, Sims, etc.

I think Xbox is okay in Brazil. The system and most games are localized to Brazilian Portuguese, local currency is supported in the store, we have access to rewards, Game Pass and cloud gaming. I can't understand why a whopping 86% of my countrymen were dissatisfied. Maybe it has something to do with hardware prices being too high (Series X is about 1000 dollars here), but there's not much that Microsoft can do about that...and we actually pay slightly cheaper for software. My only complaint is that some special services, like the customizable controllers are usually unavailable outside USA and Europe.

However, my brother currently lives in Peru, and Xbox support is not great there. He uses a Brazilian account in order to access Xbox Game Pass and cloud gaming.

@Royalblues I believe that at least some leaks are deliberate. Those rumors keep fans excited and engaged, hence why the companies wouldn't use it to their advantage?

Of course most rumors are indeed false and we often can't tell which is which, but those guys who keep leaking information that turns out to be true, like Klobrille and Jez Corden are most likely being fed directly from the Xbox marketing team.

I wouldn't be surprised if Klobrille turns out to be Aaron Greenberg himself.

@elpardo1984 Super Smash Bros play very differently to Killer Instinct. It has platforms you jump upon, you have to knock your enemies out of the map instead of depleting their energy bar and it's up to 4 players at the same time with items that make the fights feel very chaotic.

As for being a crossover, I think characters like Raz or Banjo Kazooie probably would look very out of place in KI.

It didn't take me away from State of Decay 2 for long.

On one hand I'm super excited to see all the world premieres ASAP, on the other hand it may be wiser to wait until the next morning and check all the trailers without the need to put up with that endless ceremony and meaningless awards...

Xbox major timed exclusive for early 2022 is STALKER 2, coming April 28th.

Maybe Scorn or the The Gunk as well, but I doubt we'll get anything unannounced so soon.

Gears 6 is an obvious game that we know is coming, but was technically not announced. There are those rumours that The Coalition is working on a different project as well, in order to get acquainted with Unreal 5.

We know nothing about what Compulsion games is doing. InXile has a rumoured AAA RPG in the works that was not yet revealed. Mojang is working on new Minecraft games. Double Fine just released Psychonauts 2 and is certainly gearing up towards its next game.

And then there is XGS Publishing, which could be working with pretty much anyone. The rumoured IO Interactive "Project Dragon" is yet to be revealed.

That not to mention anything Bethesda related.

Hopefully, with so many unnanounced games in the pipeline, they're bringing back some old favorites, like Banjo, Conker and Killer Instinct.

I'll wait for a sale. It sounds like it's pretty much Far Cry 3 all over again again again.

That's a fantastisc game and it's amazing that it managed to stand out on Xbox even being out of Xbox Game Pass.

Since Master Chief did not make the cut, now it's our turn to make our own crossover brawler. Make ir happen, XGS!

I canceled my Netflix subscription a few months ago. There is too much streaming right now and Netflix has been investing on a quantity over quality model recently.
