No new game reveals but maybe more back compat titles
Halo infinite campaign here we come!! Also a 20K gamerscore punchcard...heard it here first folks. I haven't been able to hit the 10K ones but it will be good for others.
As sweet as this, why not showcase what's ahead over the next 5yrs for Xbox? They still seem timid when it comes to stuff like this. This would have been perfect for compulsions teaser, a quick update on eo6, and anything else. Such a missed opportunity.
@Krzzystuff what's a punchcard? I have 259000 gs
@Az1ner i don't know, I honestly prefer when they announce things more close to launch
@MyThoughts31 they have a promotion a few times a year where you get rewards points equal to the gamerscore you get in a 4 week time frame. Usually it's capped at 10K points ($10) but I'm guessing that it's the 20th anniversary it will be 20K points.
@Az1ner i imagine that any new gaming News will be announced in December at the VGAs. But i doubt it will be stuff that far out. Maybe things coming in the next year or two?
I bought my original Xbox at CompUsa with a copy of Rallisport Challenge, which I'd been playing on demo kiosks for weeks. I remember I couldn't believe how the game looked and ran compared to PS2 games. The idea of an on board HDD was amazing to me. I played KOTOR to completion in a week (very fast for me lol), then Jade Empire, and finally got around to HALO. What a great time. I hope Microsoft can get back to those days.
Ooooh, a Jade Empire Remake.....droooool....
So I get my Halo console AND a special 20th Anniversary event on the same day?!
Bring. It. On 😁
Hell yeah, Hopefully we get some new game trailers or some reveals.. Looking forward to this..
@Krzzystuff ahhh if it's 20K then I hope we get twice as long to do it!!! I don't think I have that many short games left to play!!
Is that the big announcement that people were talking about?

@ralphdibny I'd prefer just give me double the credit for 10K gamerscore
@mousieone They could just read out 4 letters and close the stream:
J
S
R
F
I guess at least they're setting expectations by saying they won't announce any new games during this event. Still a cool celebration of Xbox.
Sounds like the perfect time for more backwards compatible games I've recently got an og Xbox emulator working on my pc so I can finally play games like midtown madness 3 & jsrf but be nice to have these games officially available on my Xbox one
I'm hoping for more FPS Boost titles!
Not announce any "new games" means "announcing backwards compatible games"
@Krzzystuff yep, or that!!
@RadioHedgeFund we can hope
Not another event, how many of these do we need over the year? Xbox has a problem of talking way to much about this and that, getting fans hyped about something or nothing much, usually.
@eduscxbox EXACTLY!!!
Announcing like E3 style is stupid. Oh look a cool game. Then says coming "in 20 years". Yep. All interest lost.
6 months before is definitely out is not only sweet spot but the BEST move.
Can't tell if this means the most we'll see of the future is Halo Infinite campaign or if they've got lots of updates on already announced upcoming games for this event. There's so many upcoming Xbox games with vague release windows or no release windows announced over the past 2 years that you could easily create a very strong event only on already announced games.
@eduscxbox The games are mentioned are at least 3yrs away. It would have been appropriate in my eyes.
