Re: Microsoft Responds To Negative Feedback For Halo Infinite's Visuals

It looks great, I personally love the art style and tone they're going for. Is it perfect though? No; the lip-syncing is a bit off and there was some noticeable pop-in.
But these are such minor details. The Halo ring itself looks incredible, and to think I'll be let loose on that thing in 4K/60fps? Come on... I can't wait.

@Neither_scene I definitely see your point, however in my personal opinion, Halo 5 was very pretty, but had little else going for it. It was all style, and no substance. This looks like a return to the more open-ended gameplay of the earlier titles, and the art style is wonderful.

Right, how much time have you got, @FraserG?

Primarily, the story needs to be stripped back to focus on Master Chief, with characters such as Locke, Palmer, and Halsey remaining in supporting roles. I'm open to playing as The Arbiter again!

The heavy sci-fi elements of Halo 5 also need to be toned down, with more of a focus on the military aspects of the series that Bungie's trilogy absolutely nailed. This is a military shooter at heart, not a sci-fi one.

The Elites need to look like Elites. 343's games beefed them up far too much, and they completely lost their core identity. On a broader scale, the overall art style needs to be more in line with Bungie's original vision.

The story needs to be coherent for all players. Personally, I'm a fan of the expanded lore, but reading up on books and comics shouldn't be a requirement to fully appreciate the story.

From a gameplay perspective, they need to lose the iron sights and weird dash ability from Halo 5. I'm fine with them keeping the sprint option in, but Halo 5 was definitely too 'busy'.

I've got HIGH expectations, but I'm still very excited!
