I'm guessing we'll be looking at 60fps with ray tracing. Possibly increased population density. I might be tempted to pay a small upgrade fee depending on what gets added, but I'm sincerely hoping it will be a free upgrade.
I must admit, with the rumours swirling around the Dead Space franchise, I've gone right back to the first game and plan to play the entire trilogy in the coming weeks. I've also got A Plague Tale: Innocence on standby ready for the Series X/S upgrade.
So, here's my dream wishlist for a Halo/Smash crossover:
Character: Chief Mirror Character: Arbiter Stage: Delta Halo backdrop, Scarab pops up at various intervals Music: Halo Main Theme, Brothers In Arms, On a Pale Horse, A Walk in the Woods
I personally don't believe they'll announce anymore acquisitions. They need to show what they can do with their current line up. We've had hints and teasers, but we need to see something substantial now.
I played a bit of Watch Dogs: Legion when they added the 60fps patch. I was hoping it would make the game a bit more enjoyable, but uhh... nah, it's still quite boring.
When I see this, part of me thinks "oh no, now I can't play Kingdom Hearts", but then I quickly remind myself that I can't stand those games. FOMO is very real.
@Alan_Payne I actually feel the exact opposite! I thought the sequel was just the right amount of open world; large enough to encourage exploration, but no where near big enough that it felt bloated and dull.
I'd encourage you to try it again, if you haven't already, because it didn't quite click with me first time. Now, I think it's leaps and bounds ahead of the first game.
I've just completed the Feros mission in the first game (those Thorian Creepers are still awful enemies; they're the equivalent of Halo's Flood). The game looks and feels fantastic!
Whether a game is considered scary or not is entirely subjective. Roaming around the Baker Mansion while Jack calls out to Ethan in a high-pitched tone of voice was honestly quite funny to me, not scary.
On the flip side, I played the RE: Village demo (after telling myself not to), and having those Lycans stalk you through the long grass was nerve-wracking!
I bought, of all things, Ghostbusters: The Video Game Remastered, and it's not too bad! The gameplay is a bit iffy, but it's just good, clean fun, kinda like Destroy All Humans.
@The_New_Butler I think you're right, but I don't think it will go down that way. It comes down to optics; they could release both at the same time and ride a wave of positivity for a few weeks, but what happens then? After 2 or 3 months, people will be clamouring for new games again. My personal opinion is they should release their 2021 games one month apart each: Forza, Halo, then Starfield.
If they're aiming to launch this year, they need to be really careful with the timing of both Halo Infinite and Starfield.
My guess is Halo is coming out in November, so they'd want to either get well ahead of that and launch Starfield in late September or early October, or they wait until December.
Launching both in November would be a mistake, in my eyes.
Those shelves have been very carefully arranged to appear within the shot; there's no way they would include a Switch unless they're trying to say something.
I've been with the series since the very beginning, so I was terrified that the changes RE7 was bringing to the table wouldn't resonate with me. Thankfully, it's a great game, and I can't wait to see how Village expands on it!

Man, I'm so glad this didn't come to fruition. I still can't get over Kojima replacing David Hayter with Kiefer Sutherland... Just bonkers.

Love the design of the Banished vehicles, they look a lot more industrial than their Covenant counterparts. So happy the Chopper is back, too!
