It's finally here! Today's Xbox Games Showcase will feature first looks at new gameplay (including Halo Infinite), insights from development teams being optimized for Xbox Series X, and brand-new game announcements.
There will also be a Summer Game Fest pre-show for the event taking place an hour earlier over at The Game Awards YouTube channel which will include additional world premieres - so don't miss it!
Here's when it all kicks off on Thursday, July 23rd:
- Pre-Show: 8am PT / 11am ET / 4pm BST / 5pm CEST / 1am AEST (July 24)
- Main Show: 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST / 6pm CEST / 2am AEST (July 24)
The main show is expected to last around an hour.
You'll be able to watch via the following links:
- Here at Pure Xbox (Including Pre-Show)
- The Game Awards on YouTube (Including Pre-Show)
- Xbox on YouTube
- Twitch
We'll be hosting the entire thing - including the pre-show - in a live blog here at Pure Xbox on Thursday, so we'd love it if you could join us! You'll be able to get involved in the chatroom and discuss the showcase (and hopefully some exciting reveals) with the rest of the Pure Xbox community.
And of course, we'll also be recapping the event throughout the remainder of the day on Thursday, so rest assured you won't miss anything even if you don't get to see the full show.
Will you be watching the event live, or perhaps catching it on demand? Let us know in the comments.

I will be watching it live in all 60fps glory. 🙌
@Z3u5000 That's a good point! The Xbox YouTube stream is confirmed to be 1080p/60fps, with a VOD of 4K/60fps.
I always get a bit disappointed that these kind of showcases aren't being first aired in 4K anymore. Appreciate times aren't ideal at the moment, but feels like we're going backwards.
Will be watching along here on Thursday though
Unfortunately I will be at work during the show. I'm debating whether I should sneak the stream in on my computer catching glimpses here and there, or if I should just wait until I get off of work to watch it in its entirety from the comfort of home with popcorn and all...
@roe Inside Xbox May event was streamed at 4k30fps, everyone complained about the framerate. PS5 June event was streamed at blurry 1080p30fps, the media didn’t even bother.
Xbox team has learnt lesson from previous events, they will be streaming at 60fps. They would not be streaming at 4k60fps live due to bandwidth limitations in lot of places.
We're so ready XD!!!!
I'll be here popcorn ready
I'll try to be in here at 4pm BST!
@Medic_Alert @MAC26 If you are working at that time do not check the internet and watch it home. I did last year and it was as exciting as watching live. You just need to work and not play with your phone/PC, do not! 😆.
I'm very excited now, bring on Thursday!
@BlueOcean haha yea I know but I just feel like I'll give in! I will definitely try to hold off and watch it all afterwards. I just wish I could be watching it and tuning in on the live blog here on pure xbox with everyone.
I most probably won't be buying an XSX (depends on how Xcloud will end up being and if it releases in Japan in first place this year), but since I could play a bunch of "exclusives" on PC, I am excited to see what is coming.
@Z3u5000 Sony did say early on though that it won't be 4k60fps live because of bandwidth. And they stated early on that 4k30fps/4k60fps parts of the show will be released separately after the show.
So that of course kind of sets expectations right.
All Microsoft has to do is set expectations right. You know, like when they say they show gameplay, they should actually show gameplay
Darn! I will be at work when it starts! I will still try to give it a look though!
@tatsumi Well they also didn’t confirm they will be streaming at both blurry AND 1080p30. I had also seen some fanboys stating their gameplay which were essentially 30fps cinematic teasers.
Sadly I will miss the start, so maybe I should wait for it to end and watch in 4K. 🤔
Either way I’m excited about this, hoping for lots of cool news.
@Z3u5000 mate.... Grow up... Now the youtube videos are a thing?
You should be worried because the last great exclusive in XB was in MARCH... This is the one thing that worries me, games.
Couldn't care a rat ass about 4K or 8K, or even what the idiot of Phil says. I want to see is PRACTICAL results.
Everytime Phil speaks I bend my ear. After the fiasco of the "GAMEPLAY EVENT" I would be cautious about my expectations...
Let's hope that it's not an event where they will show 20 games and 18 are multiplatform...
@whizzkidd FIRST TIME PS HISTORY real 4k30 OUR WEAKSTATION 5 NEXT GEN IS 30FPS GPU BOTTLENECK NO REAL EXCLUSIVES ONLY TIMED EXCLUSIVES PLAYS BEST COMING ON PC BYE 100M+ PS4 owners PAY US AGAIN 600$
I think this gen Xbox will be my day 1 buy, purely on the bases it is the most powerful by a good distance and its being sold in black. I'll pick up a PS5 later but I'll be waiting till they sort out the colour. CP77 will be my starting game but will be watching to see what else is in the works.
They’ve certainly got me dangling on the line here. Between the Machines impressive Power level, Backwards Compatibility (not just Games but Controllers and Hard Drives), Game Pass and Xcloud I’m ready to break with tradition and go for a Day 1 Console purchase (Switch was my first since the Wii). This showcase doesn’t have to be jaw dropping to seal the deal, though obviously it would help....
