Re: Ninja Gaiden 2 Black Analysis Compares Xbox 360 Original To Unreal Engine 5 Remaster

I have sort of looked and played certain games both 60 and 120fps.
And my own little summary is 60fps with VRR enabled. That seems the great spot for me for fps and detail.
I actually hate 30fps the panning around is so blurry and horrible.
I recently played far cry new dawn at the old 30fps the next day got the 60fps patch also at 4K and what a difference when panning around, so smooth and a lot less blurry.

Xbox hardware is always the issue, well not currently with series x, and I think they produce another home console under the tv full power and of course Sony PS6, maybe 2027/2028
After that it’s anyone’s guess for either company being about 2034/2035 at end of life for PS6 and Xbox prime.

@ZAHMED
The more money Xbox make selling games to Sony and Nintendo the more great games I get for XSX and GPU day one.
As for console exclusives there are still some on day of release like Avowed and south of midnight if that helps anyone.

To me it’s about the console and eco system where you want to play the games and Xbox series x and GPU eco system is the place for me.

And now and again maybe the odd game purchased from a third party, maybe like the new assassins creed in March.

@Isolte
Being honest I think Xbox should have fought more with all the studios they have now, especially in the console market and console GPU.
But it is my red circle, I cannot do anything about it.
So I just now chill and enjoy series x and GPU and all the great future games day one and there seem to be plenty coming after last years Indy and COD. Just look at the first 6 months of this year.
Let Microsoft make more money and give me more great games on Xbox consoles and GPU.

Re: Far Cry New Dawn Now Live On Xbox Game Pass, 60FPS Gameplay Revealed

OldGamer999

Goes to show you need a this generation console to run a last generation game at its best and full potential.
And the same with games this generation will run better on next generation when patched.

My point, why they don’t just stay in the limitations of the current generation for 4K 60 fps on consoles and keep each generation within its best game limits.

Played the game last night XSX, runs so smooth and looks very good at native 4K.

Re: Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Is An Early Xbox GOTY Contender For 2025

OldGamer999

After reading reviews and watching I will go with Eurogamer for me 3/5 and not a game for me.
By the way the far cry new dawn 60fps 4K update is now out and looks amazing on series x.
Show how and like now, how current generation is needed to show older last generation games at their intended console best.
Same will happen with this generations games pushing things to hard on current generation consoles and they will look and play better next generation.

@Fiendish-Beaver
I think as Xbox have many studios, console wise if they PR well and point at Xbox console with GPU then they could have a great selling point.
I’m totally ignoring cloud streaming as it’s totally crap and not worth me even entertaining.
I want every bell and whistle turned on in my games. I haven’t got a top 65” TV to play rubbish cloud streaming games on.

Re: Far Cry New Dawn Getting 60FPS Patch Ahead Of Its Arrival On Xbox Game Pass

OldGamer999

@Kaloudz
Every game I have played with 60fps is definitely better than 30fps and even 40fps.
The gameplay is smoother and panning is a lot less blurry.
Of course also the higher the native resolution the better before any up scaling takes place.
Also 60fps with VRR on also helps.

Will be great if we get this game with 60fps and near to full native 4K as possible. Which I think we will.

Re: Xbox's Phil Spencer Checks On Dev 'Progress' Of Gears Of War: E-Day

OldGamer999

Unreal 5 definitely suits Gears and the coalition as gears was always Unreal and the coalition help a bit with unreal sort of development and testing.
Looking forward to this one, day one game pass.
Do wonder why they had to bring in people can fly as the coalition are a big studio and it’s been a long time since gears 5 and the small but great Hivebusters.

Re: Soapbox: As A Huge Forza Fan, I'm Fine With Horizon 5 Going To PS5

OldGamer999

@Bobski
With some games the pro sort of just seems to sharpen them up a bit etc and keep 60fps.
I play on a top end 65” TV and the differences from PS5 or Series x to PS5 Pro are no way as big as some make out and that includes DF.
Would love them to come round and show me on my set up, without a 200x zoom process.

The best looking Pro came claimed by DF HFW burning shore does not even use PSSR, so that tells you something as well.

I know Xbox have really frustrated me but Sony have frustrated me just as much for different reasons.

Re: Soapbox: As A Huge Forza Fan, I'm Fine With Horizon 5 Going To PS5

OldGamer999

@Bobski
True it would not take away any enjoyment.
It boils down to if you knew all Xbox studios game where coming to PS5 or PS6 day one or within say 6 months then I could just buy one less console and have the PS5/PS6.
Any other publisher like EA does day one series x and PS5.
Microsoft are just leaving us guessing and probably because they don’t want to loose the Xbox console game pass subscriptions.

Re: Halo PS5 Rumours Resurface Following Forza Horizon 5 Announcement

OldGamer999

@Ilyn
Totally agree they way gone to me on the games and some sort of respectful exclusivity to Xboxers and GPU members.
I would have been happy with 6 months on all new Xbox studios games, obviously COD they can’t.
But no they can’t even give a day one all consoles GPU member that and some sort of joy from it all.
I’m done with them now but do enjoy Pure Xbox and the crown on here you are all great even though I’ve pushed the limit sometimes with some of you.

Re: Halo PS5 Rumours Resurface Following Forza Horizon 5 Announcement

OldGamer999

@Fiendish-Beaver
You do have a good point.
I would buy the console where the game performs best like Doom will probably play best on PS5 Pro, obviously waiting results.

So if prime played the game best and I got it 6 months exclusive, it would be prime.

If PS6 played the game best I would wait six months.

So obviously switch 2 wouldn’t be in the running, of course switch 2 is for Nintendo in house exclusives.

But my point is Xbox are stringing Xboxers along with this what game and when uncertainty and what respect I had left for Xbox and my Xbox’s since day one really has gone now.

I have seen some things from gaming companies over the decades, but I think this is probably the most disappointing and disrespectful act of business smoke and mirrors and totally ignorance for gamers I’ve seen.

At this point I wished they would just leave the hardware market today and get on being a publisher and we know exactly where we are then games wise from Xbox studios.

Re: Halo PS5 Rumours Resurface Following Forza Horizon 5 Announcement

OldGamer999

I don’t mind the older games like FH5 etc.
Just wish there was say any New Xbox studios games stayed exclusive to Xbox universe for say 6 months minimum.
Then at least we would know, yes any game can go PS or Switch but until after 6 months Xbox exclusivity.

It would have be so much better for Xbox to do then at least I would have good reason to keep series x and GPU knowing I have six months of Xbox exclusivity.

Instead we get an absolutely crap mixed message from Microsoft.
What games?
When day of release like doom?
When later sometime?

Microsoft are really being scum to the loyal Xboxers, with no full specification process.

Re: Forza Horizon 5 Officially Announced For PS5, Drifts Over In Spring 2025

OldGamer999

Yes they said about making an Xbox next generation console.
But they have not really said what form it is taking it what worries me.
It could be a full power under the TV home console.
It could be only a handheld.
It could be a weaker switch hybrid.
It could be under the tv streaming box or console that needs cloud to get the best from it.
That is the worry behind the maybe Xbox next generation console, they are being very candid about it as well.

And does anyone really trust anything Microsoft say about Xbox hardware.
