Poll: How Would You Grade The First Month Of Xbox Game Pass In 2025?

They also snuck in a bunch more stream your own games at the end of the month (today) for game pass ultimate.

Decent month only really played the road 96 and Indiana Jones off gamepass this month but started ninja gaiden and I'm enjoying it so far but stuck at that samurai boss in the burning building any tips to beat him???🤷🤗

I've only played Ninja Gaiden II Black so far as I spent a good while on Indiana Jones this month. It's an alright month for me, but I'm chomping at the bit for Claire Obscure: Expedition 33. April 24th can't get here soon enough!

How can you argue with that list? It's outstanding. It'd be cool to have all the games costs added together to show exactly how much they are together vs the cost of one month of sub.

Ninja gaiden, man that game already had a special place, but they showed the world how you bring older games back in this generation. Love it!

I had honestly fallen out of console gaming at the end of 2024...

But the strong showing/future of gamepass was enough to convince me to pick up a series x last night. Got the digital white version - looks great as well

What a great time to jump in I tell ya - I've literally got these games lined up:

-Indiana Jones (started already - amazing)
-Lonely Mountain Skiing (I'm a huge skier and didn't even realized they made a sequel to the biking game)
-Citizen Sleeper 2
-The new Sniper Elite
-and a bunch of slightly older games like HiFi Rush and COD 6 solo campaign..
-Older games like Prey, Psychonauts 2
-Sports games like WRC, Super Mega Baseball (anyone remember Inside Pitch on the Xbox?)

My plan is not spend much outside of gamepass. GTA6 the exception of course, but I feel the current library could carry me VERY FAR

NG2 black saved GPU for me this month.
Was a great shadow drop and of course NG4 to come on GPU later.
Of course feb we get Avowed.

Always said they load up January 💪
However hard to give better than a B as it just felt a bit end of the month heavy … most will play these in Feb

@Alstil I play almost everything on or through Game Pass. I've purchased maybe 10 games over the last several years. I'm at a very comfortable place for my gaming habits. Even if the rest of the world hasn't caught on, Xbox is the place to game!

This was a good January for me. Still playing through Indy, and now NG2 Black. And then next month Avowed. I have to try and keep up!

Great month and a real mic. I brought carrion other month looks great but in backlog. UFC is ext on my list and think will try sniper elite. I enjoyed the zombie version I played through twice. Would like to test out starbound

My old subscription was over. I made a new one with Game Pass Core.
It's just not worth it for me anymore, making Ultimate out of it, costs me 6 months.
And it's not possible to use everything out of it, so I bought Sniper Elite on disc.

Fantastic end of month but started way too slow.

@Alstil - welcome to the party! I was in a similar position a few years back after completely skipping the Xbox One/PS4 era. Series X and Gamepass got me back into gaming. You are spoilt for choice now - enjoy 👍

It's A+ for me, eternal strands has been a surprise banger, I seriously can't let go , much better than other AAA like atlas fallen and immortals of aveum, also citizen sleeper 2 has been awesome, these 2 carried the whole month for me

It was alright, got Eternal Strands, which looks somewhat interesting. So I hereby award this month a C.

@Isolte I get what you're saying and powerwash is a prime example (great game) but I tend to play a bit of everything. I've never been able to afford more than a few games a year so perhaps that's why it's easier for me to see the value.

@Isolte Yeah I feel for the people that picked up Stalker 2 via a full copy as apposed to sub model - simply because of how broken that was. There's very few games I will own rather than rent (if you like). Assassin's Creed, Sonic, GTA etc... Because I absolutely love the formers.
