I only have tried 3 ones, but As Dusk Falls makes it for me! I loved the art style they choose for this one and the story got me hooked right from the start. A great, great game, I hope more people find it interesting because the devs sure did a great job on that one.
Shredder's Revenge, it is good, I liked it a lot, but I found it a little "lightweight" in the gameplay department (unless I miss something, of course).
I only tried Tunic for a couple of hours. It doesn't look bad, but I wasn't hooked.
Looking forward to play Trek To Yomi and Cult of the Lamb next.
@UltimateOtaku91 I guess so! Strange times we live in, eh?
I am interested in the game. And, hey, like many have said before, this game looks like a classic example of "a perfect indie for Game Pass". I even thought it would be released day on the service (I was confused, of course, neither MS nor Devolver say it would be that way).
@UltimateOtaku91 @SplooshDmg Wow, I wouldn't have thought CotL will perform so well sales wise.
I am not questioning the quality of the game/developer (Devolver), but for a seemingly niche title featuring a cute-but-evil lamb, those sales are more than noteworthy.
I can't understand, for the life of me, how the Rabbids (and I have nothing against them, mind you) are still moderately thriving but Rayman got canned almost a decade ago!
Anyway, I hope Immortals gave Ubisoft's creativity a boost and we can see other titles in the same vein.
I don't know if it's the most overrated (maybe I wouldn't go that far), but everytime I think of BOTW I get a strong sense of discomfort!
I sure see the quality in it, but it just didn't click with me. It felt so obtuse, so "un-Zelda" (even if I respect the effort to try some new ground for the series) that I left it unfinished halfway through.
Of course, I respect everyone who loves BotW so much. But it isn't for me.
In a wider sense, I would love to see more light-hearted art (movies, games, books, etc).
In gaming, I see many, many games that are "trying a little bit too hard" (yes, TLoU, I am looking at you!).
Immortals was a breath of fresh air, even if the humour isn't everybody's cup of tea. But the effort, especially coming from Ubi, was very much welcomed and it showed that the developer still doesn't run out of ideas.
I certainly would love to see a sequel and I hope all the troubles within Ubi do not affect the development of new IP's.
For me, right now, it is Game Pass, simply because it has more games I want to play (Dead Space, Fable, etc.).
But I think GP delivers a better "user experience". The UI is better and easy to use, it is constantly telling you about the new games arriving and the ones that are leaving...
Plus+, on the other hand, has started with a confusing UI, and the Premium Tier is a joke. The selection of games is strong, I confess, and there is room for improvement.
If Sony works on it, it can have a very good subscription service, just like MS worked on Game Pass over the years.

Interested in playing The Chant.
Hopefully, it will come out this year
Re: Five Games Revealed For Xbox Game Pass At Gamescom Opening Night Live 2022
I was already interested in Lies of P. Coming Day One to Game Pass sure was a nice surprise.

Re: Sony Didn't Pay To Keep 'Cult Of The Lamb' Off Xbox Game Pass, Says Publisher
@FraserG Thank you and keep the good work!
Re: Death Stranding Officially Joins Xbox Game Pass For PC Next Week
@LtSarge Couldn't agree more with you.
Re: Soapbox: We Need More Light-Hearted Spin-Offs Like Immortals Fenyx Rising
@nofriendo I agree with Banjo, OoT and Majora's Mask are great!
But I can't say about Twilight Princess, because that's the only one of the TLoZ 3D games I haven't tried

Re: Deals: All 40+ Backwards Compatible Games In This Week's Xbox Sales (August 16-23)
I just want to say that Outland was a hidden gem back in the day.
And it was sooo nice to found it in my library when I powered up my XSX for the first time

@nofriendo I sure miss Rayman.

Re: PSA: Deathloop Could Potentially Hit Xbox Game Pass In Under A Month
It would be so cool to have it on GP by next month.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 6-7)
@BRT15 Psychonauts 2 is awesome, probably my GOTY 2021.
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@EliSweetG Hope your words would come true!
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@Banjo- Now that you mentioned it, the Tomb Raider games are great, imo.
But they are not regarded as "masterpieces to end all masterpieces".
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@Banjo- I totally agree with you.
I still don't understand what it is so special about certain games, like TLoU.
It has quality, yes, but it is always called "a masterpiece" and I simply can't see it that way.
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@Would_you_kindly I guess you're right.
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@EVIL-C You're so right!
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@CRAZYGREG0511 Thank you!
Yes, the remake was mostly a COD style FPS. Good, but nothing more.
And yes, as many people say, the original has dated, but I love it anyway.
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@CRAZYGREG0511 How fortunate!
I lost my N64 and my Goldeneye copy when my house flooded some years ago.
I played the remake (you know, the one with Daniel Craig) on PS3. It was good, but it didn't have the magic
Re: Microsoft Explains Why It 'Wouldn't Be Profitable' To Make Call Of Duty Xbox Exclusive
@Dezzy70 Just for the sake of it!
lol, your comment made my day
Re: Xbox's Gamescom Show Falls On A Very Important '007' Anniversary
@CRAZYGREG0511 Yeah, agreed. It seems this remaster/remake will never see the light of day...
Let's hope I am wrong, as Goldeneye is one of my favourite games of all time.
Re: Talking Point: How Would You Compare The New PS Plus To Xbox Game Pass?
Mmm...let's see.
For me, right now, it is Game Pass, simply because it has more games I want to play (Dead Space, Fable, etc.).
But I think GP delivers a better "user experience". The UI is better and easy to use, it is constantly telling you about the new games arriving and the ones that are leaving...

Re: Deals: All 40+ Backwards Compatible Games In This Week's Xbox Sales (August 9-16)
Seems like a perfect time to grab those Max Payne titles, I played 2 & 3 on PS2 and PS3, but now those discs are gone.
I am a big fan of Remedy (already got Alan Wake, Quantum Break, Control), so this Deals sounds sweet!
Re: Another Five Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass Soon (August 15)
@Shigurui lol. Did you like Raji? I play halfway into it, I think.
Re: Another Five Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass Soon (August 15)
@themightyant Now that you mention it, yes.
I had not thought about it, but it would be really useful. Because now it is "Hurry, you have X days to play this game!".
Re: Another Five Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass Soon (August 15)
@themightyant haha, same here.
The only one I miss right now is Raji (started it, liked it, but then I got hooked on some other game).
Other than that, I am cool.
Re: Rumour: Immortals Fenyx Rising Might Be Coming To Xbox Game Pass
To me, Immortals (despite the somewhat generic name) is the best Ubisoft game in a while.
By the way, It has cross-saves, a nice and useful feature.
Re: Talking Point: How Are You Finding As Dusk Falls So Far?
@SplooshDmg I completely agree with you.
I wasn't super excited by this game, but I started it yesterday and wow!
I think it is one of the surprises of 2022 so far.
Re: Review: As Dusk Falls - A Cracking Crime Thriller On Xbox Game Pass
Great review.
This seems right up my alley. I will try it when I get home from work.
Re: No More Heroes 3 Xbox Version Locks In October 2022 Release
@SplooshDmg I 100% agree with you.
Re: Talking Point: What Were Your Favourite Xbox Live Arcade Games On 360?
@Dm9982 Yes it was! I had a X360 and then I switched to a PS4. I thought my old games were gone with the new generation (XB1).
So it was a great to see Braid, Limbo, Hydrophobia, Beyond Good and Evil, Plants vs. Zombies and Outland right there!
Re: Talking Point: What Were Your Favourite Xbox Live Arcade Games On 360?
Braid. I still love that game and it was a nice surprise to found it again on my Series X collection.
Re: Digital Foundry Host Says Xbox Series X Wins Most Console Comparisons
@DTfeartheBEARD I agree with you.
I love my PS5, and I admit that most of the exclusives are killer titles.
Agreed, Microsfot did a greeat job with the BC games. The fact that I can download games I bought since the X360 days is superb.
Re: Talking Point: When Are We Going To Hear About GoldenEye 007 For Xbox?
@Leuke yeah, I also agree with @Retron.
We'll wait and see what's NIntendo saying on this.
Re: Review: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge - A Totally Radical Retro Delight
I wasn't so sure about this one, but now I'll play it day one on Game Pass!
Re: PlayStation's Xbox Game Pass Competitor Goes Live Today In The US
@somnambulance Same here! I was going to buy Demon's Souls. For me, this game alone is worth the ticket.
