Great, just bought a xbox 360 (pristine condition + kinect), mine was stolen in 2013, still have a lot of 360 discs (a lot of kinect) and not bc compatible ones that's why we bought it, we're giving it to my youngest daughter for her 6th birthday , she's gonna be so happy,
Good to see the system as a whole is still being serviced ...lol
Well I bought it in the first week, so that's saying something, most of the time more of a 'wait for a sale person'. But yeah buddies around me created too much FOMO, and totally not a souls games kinda player, but this game I still play every week after months, so yeah understand the sales numbers.... it's awesome, and now also game of the year , there's no competition left.
Don't care about GRID, but Burnout is a shame, love that series, but new Need for Speed titles are appreciated too, what else is appreciated , is the fact that there's another topic besides 'Bethesda Delay Stories'
Damn, well planned a playcation round Starfield, so cancel that then... too bad. And yeah, what remains for this year then, first party wise , Forza motorsport? , maybe some smaller things like project Belfry...
These are the games that the core team of guys and gals made at Bethesda the last 20 years (fallout 76 was not made by the core team) and metacritic score
fallout 3 90-93 fallout 4 84-88 elderscrolls III morrowind 82-89 elderscrolls IV oblivion 93-94 elderscrolls V skyrim 92-96
So their pedigree is pretty good. If you like those style of games, and I do, you have every right to have some confidence in Starfield imho.
Still gonna try it, thanks for the review, like this sort of games, and there's another coming next year, so if I can show some support for the upcoming (hopefully better received) title I will.
I've played Xbox for 17 years, okay the 360 didn't have any form of DRM, but only once in those years I've experienced an outage like this,so i think their DRM policies are pretty solid, I had no problem this weekend however some friends have, even if they had set the Xbox as a the homebox it wouldn't help for them, they will fix it. There has to be some check if you own the game or not, and you get two licences with every game you purchase so that's pretty decent as well.
Studio founder and creative director Emeric Thoa noted that Furi has sold more than 3 million copies till now. Since it released in July 2016 for PS4 and PC before coming to Xbox One in December 2016 and considering how niche the game was, thatâs pretty good.
Interestingly, Thoa said that sales are âa bit lower than we would have likedâ but later said that the studio is âpretty happyâ with sales thus far. Furi can be purchased for $20 on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Itâs also received some DLC with One More Fight which added a brand new boss fight to the mix."
Well for a niche game 3 million is pretty good imho, and taking into account that it launched at PS plus for free day and date,
Wow, sorry for all the folks who had problems, heard it this morning that there were problems, counting myself lucky we didn't experience any problems in our house (3 xboxes , set my son's series s as home console ).
"before it ends on May the 4th (no idea why they've picked that date btw)"
It's an informal day of celebrating Star Wars, from the quote 'May the fourth be with you' instead of 'may the force be with you', the quote was uttered sometime in the british parliament if I remember correctly, and somehow somewhere got connected to Star Wars, so may the fourth would be 05-04. Also may was the month that the original Star Wars movie was released in the American theaters in 1977 , the 25th of may I think.
I have a Iiyama G-Master Red Eagle GB2770QSU-B1 - QHD IPS 165Hz Gaming Monitor hooked up to my Series X, which is a hdmi 2.0 monitor, which does support 120hz QHD resolution and VRR at the same time, and didn't cost an arm and a leg at 320 euro's I think. Will hook it up to my PS5 when I get it back from loan next week to see the new PS5 VRR options, although I thought PS5 doesn't natively supports QHD resolution, or has that changed too?
@MattT3142 Totally with you on that one, big studios like Avalanche, Rocksteady, Monolith have been quiet for 5 years or more, and just before they are launching long awaited an pretty hyped projects, they are gonna sell off their studios and Ip? That would be stupid.
Ubisoft+ is coming to Xbox, but unless it's incorporated into gamepass ultimate, I'm not gonna pay extra for it, that's because I own most Ubisoft games I'm interested in, got almost all Far Cry and Assassins Creed, most of the Ghost Recon stuff, so it would not be enticing enough for me to subscribe to Ubisoft+ that much
@Xiovanni, Team 17 is just the publisher, looks like a small studio OverborderStudio from Taiwan with just 7 developers is making this game, looks promising for such a small developer.
Claimed as gold from the Netherlands, thanks for the tip!, and as they are 360 games, you indefinitely own them, even if you unsubscribe from gold, so awesome.
Just found out it's being made by Gameloft, so hype completely gone for me, no faith in that developer whatsoever, maybe they surprise me, but doubt it.
Xbox got so many things in the works, all that was mentioned in previous posts, but also Pentiment, A Plague Tale Requiem, Party Animals, Slime Rancher 2, Somerville, Ark 2, As Dusk Falls, Project Mara, Project Dragon , Project Belfry, Project Shaolin, Project Cobalt... probably forgot a couple. Also Gamepass is still in the user acquisition mode so don't expect a price hike this year, but hopefully they will introduce the Gamepass Family Plan (5 people in one country , what I've heard) , lovingly called Famepass.
Was gonna buy this for my eldest son, who's an avid fan of the series, but being on gamepass is really good, gonna probably use the saved money to buy dlc, and probably buy the game when it leaves gamepass eventually with a discount, so very happy.
Just started it last night to see what it looked like , looks very polished, nice to have yet another good game on gp, my children will probably play it, as im still trapped in ER
@Zucaritas , speedrunners , insane , not a souls person, bought dark souls in the day, but barely touched it, bought Elden Ring, loving it to my surprise but it will take me years to finish this game, very time constraint work/family sometime s gaming , still got like 40 hours into it.... tough as nails sometimes, but great game nonetheless
If you look closer at the numbers, you will come to the conclusion that while Ubisoft looks like a 'bargain' compared to ABK, the productivity at ABK is like 7.5 more than the one at Ubisoft, and on par with the rest of Microsoft. Therefor I think Microsoft is not that terribly interested into getting Ubisoft, 20000 employees with a revenue of 2.4B $ vs 9800 and 8.8B $ with ABK.... imho.
I would be hesitant too if I were to go digital only on Playstation, don't trust them that much and for Nintendo I will always go physical if possible, never get a real good discount, and physical stuff for Nintendo holds the most value over the years. But with Microsoft I don't have any trust issues, bought digital games from them like 15 years ago, still can download those games, and then when I start them up, the xbox network will ask me If I want to start where I left off, cause the awesome free cloudsave system they have... so I get why people go digital only, I am 80/20 I think, still buy physical on the cheap and special editions.
Got a daughter who loves this stuff, bought for her the other life is strange series, so she's loving this also, she plays it on xcloud, that's why gamepass is so great, the diversity of games, my eldest son has also an xbox (series s) so I gameshare with his box, my youngest son has a game pc , so he can enjoy the pc side of gamepass ultimate, and my youngest daughter shares the xbox series x with her dad, loves all the legogames, and all the kid stuff on gamepass, still eager to find out what the family gamepass is going to look like.
Neo Geo was absolute amazing at the time, a buddy of my had one, with only two games, I think both fighters, but the system was real expensive on its own, and the gamecartridges cost more than 200 bucks a piece at the time.... but hey you had an arcade at home....
Maybe Playstation have a much lower yield with their SOC as compared to Microsoft, because of their very late decision to overclock the thing to look more competitive with the series X.
Tombraider nice and all, but finish Perfect Dark first please, and make it a good game, well this news will up the price for CD ofcourse , but maybe the deal to sell CD to Microsoft has already been done behind the curtains.
FSR does not require any special hardware or dedicated machine learning transistors to work , it's just an (very good) processing algorithm, so it can work for basically anywhere, version 2 does require some work on the dev-side of games, but it also works on Nvidia, and therefore I expect it to show up on the Switch too, for docked games, the tegra chip they use doesn't support any form of DLSS I believe.
@k3lt0n About the same here, maybe a little lower on the digital side this year, will buy physical when they are dirt cheap, bought Assassins Creed Origins Gold edition physical from Ubisoft directly for like 8 euro's which was even way cheaper than any deal in the xbox store.
