With forgeable AI, I’m sure the community will come up with something.
Big changes are coming to Forge with season 5 in how game types are being created. I heard there’s going to be a mini-game game type or a less ridging game type which allows for multiple objectives. This could lead to PvE forge levels maybe?
@BrilliantBill I didn’t really play Halo 5 but didn’t the Warzone mode do PvPvE. I wouldn’t mind a competitive firefight where two teams do score attack. First thing should be getting the core Firefight PvE in though.
I didn’t say this earlier but I’m really excited for Extraction coming back. Definitely one of the best modes in Halo 4.
@Altaria_97 did you see the follow up videos IGN did?
There’s also 2 blog posts on waypoint. The newer one talks about the changes to the Battle Pass Events are becoming operations and being around long than the original time frame, for a price.
@Benjamin feels good to me honestly. As a GoldenEye kid who started Halo with the Halo 2 I played Halo throughout the 360. I dabbled with CoD with MW and MW2 but the TTK was so low for me.
Jumped over to PS4 and played movement shooters like Apex Legends where the TTK is lower than Halo but higher than CoD I think. So coming back to Infinite feels like best of all worlds. I honestly can’t play classic Halo any more after experiencing Apex Legends. The much loved Halo 3 feels so floaty. :/
@Kaloudz just a heads up this is King of Hill Firefight not classic Firefight. Not sure why they’re merging in an objective game type with Infinite’s first version but here we are.
In this one you need to capture 5 hills with firefight AI on the map.
@Stoned_Patrol hopefully will get an expansion of Squad Battle maps in season 5. 343 have been pushing through a lot of community maps recently into the game. 8 for Husky Raid, 8 for Tenrai III and then Goliath came out Tuesday. The latter 9 are in a 4v4 playlist. With Dredge coming before that. Season 4 has really seen a huge influx of playlist ready maps.
As for why now and not then? I doing think the process pipeline is where it is now. The community has made some solid recreations since Forge day 1 but getting those maps tested and working with creators for matchmaking took time.
I’m hopefully the new additions to forge might mean we get a working Zanzibar wheel again.
@GeeEssEff @Titntin thanks both! I’m sorry too… lol. Going out my mind in isolation but my wife has been amazing support so I count myself very lucky. I’m just happy she didn’t get it.
Nothing for me. I tested positive for COVID on Tuesday. Felt like I got hit by two trucks. Feeling a bit better now but not really up for gaming yet.
Worryingly if I don’t get better before Tuesday then I might end my unofficial totally in my head weekly reward competition streak on Halo Infinite. I’ve completed every single weekly since launch even the duplicates during Winter Update.
I think Mike has just had mostly good experiences on the seas which is great.
Personally my wife and I have had neutral to negative experiences in general. If you play as a pacifist against other players you’re setting yourself up at a disadvantage. Sea of Thieves often talk about tools not rules but I’ve rarely found a way to talk someone out of griefing us.
I will say we’ve had a handful of good experiences though.
Party Animals is alright definitely an improvement over peers like Gang Beasts.
I often got stuck with team mates who don’t know basic controls. That said even as someone who went through the tutorial doing the right thing in the moment is hard to do.
The amount is people who tried to jump the ball in the goal in buzz ball was crazy. Throw it!
@PsBoxSwitchOwner that's true. A review score is a helpful entry point to a reviewer's opinion but unless you're going to go in and read the review as to why it was a 9 or a 6 then it's actually not all that helpful at all.
7 for me. I’m not big BGS fan though. I’m at 12 hrs but I’ve not had much chance to play it this week due to work being crazy or just not being in the mood.
I’ve spent most of my time playing Slay The Spire and a little Halo Infinite. Easy to pick up and drop games.
Starfield mostly. Also watching Halo Championship Series which is at Fort Worth, Texas this weekend. Last regional before the series finale in Seattle!
I got seriously kelpto I picked up all manner of nonsense. Foam cups, bowls, a microscope! I got arrested for stealing a spoon by accident. Jeez… There went 17 credits.
I’ve already save scummed after I tried to kill an annoying NPC and have a city turn on me.
I caved and bought the premium content upgrade. Bethesda games aren't usually my cup of tea but I want to experience this. Probably because it's set in spaaaaaaace rather than fantasy.
Had a rough few nights of playing Halo Infinite I just feel like I can’t even compete even outside of ranked so probably going to give that a rest.
Tried GTA Online as I hadn't played it since the 360 version. So it’s been a few years. I played through the tutorial and had a bit of a joyride but really bounced off the experience.
@BrilliantBill we’re definitely on the up if social media is to be believed. A lot of big streamers are giving the game a try. It could be because it’s summer but numbers are definitely up.
Generally positivity is following the game around.
Don’t call it a comeback but the game isn’t dead in the ground any more.
No Halo Infinite again! Not that there’s too much to say with it being mid season.
Halo Infinite is getting some tremendous response from the greater gaming community right now though. So that’s super positive. I definitely fell Microsoft should be shouting about this game some more.
I’m looking forward to seeing more Jusant and the update on Sea of Thieves even though I do not currently play the latter.
I absolutely loved Roboquest initially but unfortunately the fast paced gameplay quickly gave me motion sickness. A real shame as it was quite a treat to play.

Re: Halo Infinite Season 5 Brings Firefight Back To The Series
@BrilliantBill yea, I came back 2020 as well same as me then. I never did play Warzone though despite being in US East region.

Re: Halo Infinite Season 5 Brings Firefight Back To The Series
@Kaloudz I’m confused too. Maybe it is PvE still but you can’t score the hill if AI are in it? That would make some sense.

@BrilliantBill it’s close. Reeeeal close. Forge lord has been hyping up forge improvements and leaks have pointed to forgeable AI.
Re: Halo Infinite Spotlights Halo 2 And Halo 3: ODST Maps Remade In Forge
Yea… something is afoot. Looking forward to the season 5 previews next week. 343 have been quiet.
There’s also been a leak about a Mark V core Ave Mark VI kit.
Mark V being the classic halo armor and Mark Vi being Chief’s current armor.

Re: 10 New Xbox Games To Look Forward To In October 2023
Jusant and AC: Mirage for me. Really looking forward to both.
Re: Sea Of Thieves Is 'Not Just PvE Or PvP', According To Creative Director
Sea of Thieves has much more in common with Tarkov and other PvPvE games than Destiny 2.

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 23-24)
Mostly Halo Infinite for me. Just enjoying playing at the moment. Hyped for season 5 reveals soon. The leaks have been crazy.
I might give Party Animals another go but might not.
Re: Xbox Games Now Have A Few New Symbols, And Here's What They Mean
I think I saw this the other day when a game (Aragami 2) I had on my Home Screen recently played was no longer in Game Pass.
Re: Party Animals Is Proving Extremely Popular, Aside From Some 'Offline' Controversy
Party Animals is alright definitely an improvement over peers like Gang Beasts.

I hope that controller comes to light.
Re: Here's A Look At The New 'Sebile' Xbox Controller, Set To Launch In 2024
Sounds like a day one for me. But then there could Be issues with the first wave of this controller. So long as I can play this wired I’ll be happy.

Re: Review: Mortal Kombat 1 - 30 Years In The Making, But Does It Live Up To The Legacy?
@Cashews can you blame NL for giving the game a 4? It should never have been released on the Switch in its current form.
Re: Seven Games Are Confirmed For Xbox Game Pass In October So Far
Jusant is the one for me. I hope it doesn’t disappoint. It would be a long October if not for Halo Infinite season 5!
Re: Call Of Duty's Biggest Ever Xbox Sale Is Now Live, 40+ Deals Included
@BioSkell CoD coming to game pass is purely speculation at this point. There’s been no official word. No doubt this site would cover it if there was.
Re: Here's What Might Be Leaving Xbox Game Pass In October 2023
TABS better not leave! It’s a great little game.

7 for me. I’m not big BGS fan though. I’m at 12 hrs but I’ve not had much chance to play it this week due to work being crazy or just not being in the mood.
I’ve spent most of my time playing Slay The Spire and a little Halo Infinite. Easy to pick up and drop games.
Re: It Looks Like Hideo Kojima Is Spending His Spare Time On Starfield
@Sakai I’d probably do this if I didn’t get weighed down by foam cups and globes.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (September 2-3)
Starfield mostly. Also watching Halo Championship Series which is at Fort Worth, Texas this weekend. Last regional before the series finale in Seattle!
Re: Early Access Players, What Are Your First Impressions Of Starfield?
@FatalBubbles agree with all of this. I can't really done the UC story line though.
I played for 2-3 hrs last night. I wish I could stop picking up junk...

Re: Starfield Fans, What Are Your Plans Over The Next Few Days?
@tallythwack yea, if you buy the premium upgrade and your Game Pass expires you’ll be without the game.
I don’t think MS offers reduced price if you have a DLC.
Going digital or physical on the standard edition might be best unless you’re looking at the collector’s edition.
Re: Starfield Fans, What Are Your Plans Over The Next Few Days?
I got the premium upgrade the other day. The game is sitting pre-installed on my machine and patched up too. Roll on Friday!

Re: This Week's Xbox Sales Include Some Rarely Seen Backwards Compatible Games
Holy moley. I bought Braid a while ago but I never thought From Dust would ever be on sale again.
I'll be grabbing that one later today.
Re: Talking Point: Have You Ever Bought An Xbox For One Specific Game?
The promise of Halo Infinite is why I came back to Xbox after skipping Xbox One for PS4. It’s been an interesting time since then.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (August 26-27)
So what am I playing? No idea!
Re: Tower Defense Mega-Hit 'Bloons TD 6' Arrives On Xbox This September

I checked and it's been a couple of years. Where'd life go, eh?
Re: Talking Point: What's Your Favourite Xbox Live Memory?
Probably Halo 2 BTB on Headlong. What a game.
Re: Roboquest Leaves Early Access This Fall, And It's Available On Xbox Game Pass
I absolutely loved Roboquest initially but unfortunately the fast paced gameplay quickly gave me motion sickness. A real shame as it was quite a treat to play.

Finally! I can’t believe Party Animals is finally getting released.
Re: Xbox Adds More Perks For Game Pass Ultimate Members (August 2023)
Did the Halo Infinite perk via the PC Xbox app. A right pain in the bum. I hope it’s not a regular thing.
