We've all been looking forward to a large slate of Activision Blizzard titles coming to Xbox Game Pass for almost two years now, and even though the deal has officially gone through, it sounds like we might need to wait a little bit longer.
Following today's announcement, the official Xbox Game Pass twitter account had the following to say:
"Today, we can now begin the work of bringing Activision Blizzard King’s iconic and groundbreaking games to Xbox Game Pass. We can’t wait to share more details in the coming months."
Xbox boss Phil Spencer had also followed up with some similar messaging over on Xbox Wire:
"Today we start the work to bring beloved Activision, Blizzard, and King franchises to Game Pass and other platforms. We’ll share more about when you can expect to play in the coming months. We know you’re excited – and we are too."
Based on what we're reading here, it sounds like we won't immediately be able to play anything from Activision Blizzard on Xbox Game Pass, and we do already know that Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Diablo 4 won't be coming to the service until at least some point next year - as revealed by ActiBlizz a few days ago.
It's a shame to be waiting around, but there's definitely a lot to look forward to! If you haven't read it yet, we've put together a big guide of over 50 games that could arrive on Xbox Game Pass in the not too distant future...

I wish we could get Prototype revival someday or remake of the first 2😁
I am really hoping we can somehow get Singularity on Game Pass. Diablo 2 and 3 will also be welcome additions.
Surely they could drop the crash/spyro remakes along with ctr plus other acti blizz games that already work on series x/s
I would keep the expectations low on a time frame. I'm guessing after the holidays for most of them. Maybe some deep cuts in the meantime.
Are we finally gonna get an Xbox team racing game? Many more characters to add now.
@JetmanUK Was just thinking about potential crossovers. Their own version of Mario Kart, Smash Bros? Crash/Spyro crossover? Halo/COD crossover? Regardless, all of these will be in the future but, I'm more excited than ever and looking forward to it! Summer Showcase '24 can't come soon enough!
Surely they have to drop a few games on the service before the holiday season. They'll certainly want to draw some hardware sales over the period.
Some new 60fps patches for things like Spyro would be welcomed

It'll be like Bethesda, the games with the easiest licences will appear in the first month or so, and the rest will filter in as and when the licences get sorted.
Hopefully this will allow Microsoft to be able to tell us all about their future plans but also what’s been brewing deep and hidden in the ABK studios… I envision it a bit like the Wonka factory…
All i want is achievements for Candy Crush please. And bring Candy Crush to Xbox so my wife can finally play video games on a console!

Diablo 4 on game pass, yesterday. That's the only thing I care to see and read. Until that day, I'm not interested or care.
@Daniel1221 only if it's a spiritual successor to Diddy Kong Racing. I've sorely missed hovercraft/plane/card in kart racing.

I hope Phill contacted Hasbro the day they hinted at their desire to get their old Transformer games on Game Pass.
I figured they had their finger on the "button" to release some or all games into Game Pass as soon as the deal was closed. After the Bethesda deal there were games available a few days later.

All I care about is the legacy titles for backwards compatibility. Old CODs not added, Prototype, Singularity, TimeShift, Pitfall Lost Expedition, Blur, Sierra point and click titles or ones like SWAT Global Strike Team on current gen. Target Liberty for PSP to PS+ literally anything.
Guitar Hero the instruments support/licensing unlikely and Tony Hawk I assume 1+2 on Gamepass maybe? Unlikely the others I assume. But source code/licensing/care at all who knows.
They don't care to revive them so offer them via BC at least.
Gamepass for the legacy titles sure even if most will be the current gen titles I get it.
Other than Spyro 4 I have no interest in what ABK do really of current gen and even then if Spyro 4 is GOOD or not and handled better than Reignited trilogy was of an update for game 2 & 3 let alone the game was fine but the controls while heavy and I hate games that go for heaviness unless a vehicle or armoured or carrying something I do think the lack of adding new/replacing features sucked. Aka Spyro 3 you have the gem finder, why did they not put something new in the Sparx level reward for that it offers nothing but gems now, it's disappointing.
We have that Blizzard compilation they made, I think that will be made redundant now
