@Titntin same feelings after playing the beta.

I can’t believe how brain dead the combat is, you literally just aim and spam a button it’s so dull. The cannons don’t even move in the direction you fire it looks ridiculous. On top of that it has Xbox one graphics and limited, dull locations to walk around. I thought it was piss poor.

One of the first games I played on Series X with its free upgrade. Amazing game. When mugs defend paid for upgrades, I like to bring up this game. Still looks amazing today.

If every screen is an Xbox, then what is an Xbox? Ultimately it’ll just be a service, which is Gamepass obviously. I think if they can release a competent handheld to rival the steam deck, they could do well in that market, I think their console hardware will continue to stall as time goes on.

I said early on though, PlayStation fans shouldn’t celebrate this, because the market is changing and it’s only a matter of time before Sony chooses profits over exclusives. The switch 2 could have insane support with MS and Sony both looking to put their games on there, the potential for that is exciting.

Huge fan of the originals. I picked this up after being impressed by a couple of videos. You know what’s nice about it, Lara isn’t constantly waffling on to herself like modern day characters do. There’s something special about the lack of music and voice, it adds to the atmosphere of the game. Combat is rough but the platforming is still fantastic with the tank controls.

I wont touch any Don’t Nod game. Unbearable.

Expect nothing and you’ll never be disappointed. Normally true but Xbox usually still manage the disappointment.

I tried it and thought it was hilarious. I kept laughing about this being Quadruple A while I was playing. The combat is worse than Black Flags and the graphics are remarkably last gen. Can only leave your ship at dull, lifeless select locations. Really poor imo.

No matter the outcome of this, I think it’s exposed how little confidence Xbox fans have in Microsoft to do things right for the Xbox brand. It’s took years of neglect and constant let downs to get to here and it feels like a combination of many things leading to fans losing their minds.

Interesting. I did see a rumour that they want intel running inside the next Xbox instead of AMD.

I tried the beta for a couple of hours. Wow. Quadruple A 😂 it looks like an Xbox one game and the ship battles feel worse than black flag. I was firing the cannons on that wrecked ship and the balls were going left and right with the cannon staying stationary 😂 my character had a PS3 looking beard, yeah, Quadruple A 🤣🤣

Quadruple A is such a stupid term.

@Banjo- PlayStation have the problem of their games budgets being ridiculously unsustainable. They have to sell HUGE amounts to be profitable and luckily for them most do… for now. But what if that changes and people get fed up of all the sequels and similar types of games. Its a bubble waiting to burst imo.

I think we’ll see games going multiplatform on PlayStation, potentially a year after release. Hi-fi Rush, Sea of Thieves and Starfield I think are certain at this point, maybe even some IP’s closer to home that Xbox have which would be a huge mistake. I’m hoping they keep Gears and Halo as true exclusives. What they announce will decide if it’s worth having an Xbox console in the future for me, we’ll have to wait and see.

The rumoured handheld could be a masterstroke. That market is growing, if Xbox can release something like the steam deck with Gamepass included it could do well. That maybe where they can increase hardware sales.

I tried the demo on switch and don’t understand the fuss about it. Thought it was nothing special and I don’t have the urge to play it again.

The danger is that if Xbox hardware sales sink so low after they announce games going to the competition, 3rd parties, both big and small start pulling away from the system as it just won’t be worth it as the sales aren’t there. Speculation of course but a realistic take on the situation.

I’m getting fed up waiting but at least they’ve acknowledged it again. I bought the game at launch and really want to play it but the lip sync ruins the experience for me. It’s like watching a bad dub. Hopefully they fix this sooner rather than later.

@Mephisto2869 I mean, MS do have a bottomless money pit, they just want to make it even more bottomless by going multiplat.

Imagine we get physical Xbox games on PlayStation, because Sony hasn’t completely killed off the physical market yet 😂 things could be wild going forward.

@Toot1st 1st. Gamepass isn’t ‘free’. 2nd. I can happily wait until games are on sale like I do now with PS5 titles. We may even get physical Xbox titles on PlayStation because they haven’t completely killed that market yet.

Man, uncle Phil pretty much confirming the rumours are true. ‘We’re listening and we hearing you’ I call BS, you may be listening but you and your business stooges have already made up your mind. You’re going to hand Sony another win and let them be the sole dominant force in the console space, that’s my prediction.

MS will no doubt make more money from going multiplat, but the Xbox brand will be pretty much dead. MS studios and Gamepass is their future and they don’t need an Xbox for that.

@Cakefish wow. Imo nothing is off the table if Gears goes multiplat.

I understand MS going for profit, especially as Series console sales are stalling, but if they go multiplat they’re diluting their own product enormously. They probably aren’t bothered though if they’re raking it in.

@themightyant we’ll have to see how it plays out. I haven’t been using Gamepass lately (been playing rogue trader) and on PlayStation I wait for sales anyway. Gamepass is great value but it’s also something I could do without, I’m in no hurry to play games day one and gaming time is limited usually so I can’t play everything that comes to Gamepass it’s impossible 😂

One side note, while the PlayStation side may laugh at this now, the market is changing. Sony at some point will choose profit over exclusivity.

I’ll echo what I said in the previous article, if Xbox start releasing their games on multiple consoles this will be the last Xbox I own. I see no point in having one when I can just have one console under the TV instead of 2.

See what happens but all signs are pointing to this happening.

@Kaloudz I can see them keeping Gears, Halo, Forza, ‘exclusive’ to the Xbox for as long as there is one. Everything else could go multiplat imo.

The problem is that those 3 franchises have been diluted so much over the years that I don’t think they’ll be enough to keep people on Xbox. All 3 franchises are a a shadow of what they have been for various reasons.

If Xbox start making their games multiplat this will be the last Xbox I own. I’d rather have less consoles taking up space so if I can get Xbox games on PlayStation, even at a later date, I’d rather just have the one console and it wouldn’t be an Xbox.

Nah this one ain’t for me. Looter shooters are one of my least favourite genres and after seeing a few spoilers I’ll pretend it doesn’t even exist.

I miss the Arkham games, would have loved a new one.

So looking through I don’t see a fix for the lip sync issues on Xbox? I’ve been holding off playing because it ruins the game for me.

I’m starting to wonder if this is the last Xbox I’ll own, MS really do seem determined to make their hardware irrelevant. Maybe they’ll offer just a streaming box with Gamepass in the future? I don’t know but it’s kind of grim thinking about it.

I loved P5 but got massively burnt out playing P4 on Gamepass. I spent hours and the ‘ending’ I got was so unsatisfactory it felt like those hours were wasted.

This looks like an impressive remake and looks as good as 5 when it comes to the graphics, I just don’t think I have the will to sink tons of hours into another persona game though.

@K1LLEGAL it does what it aims to very well from the look of it, it’s obviously the type of game pokemon players have been wanting. It just shows you the majority of players don’t care about performance. I hope it gives Nintendo a kick because Pokemon has been stale for years on their systems.

@Kaloudz man yeah 😂 he starts off the video having a dig and ends it in a similar way. It maybe 20% pokemon but the pals do look incredibly similar to Pokemon I think it’s borderline copying 🤣 like I said above though I hope it gives Nintendo a kick to do right by Pokemon again, they should take this games success on the chin and improve their own franchise instead of looking to sue.

I watched this video. DF seemed a bit salty about it being a Pokemon rip off 🤣 I’ve not tried it, it genuinely looks terrible to me and the performance is bad, but people are enjoying it so whatever.

I’m playing Rogue Trader. It’s flawed but I love the 40k universe and it does a good job of dropping you right in it.

I was playing Starfield but after 50 hours I’m done. I was enjoying it and I think it’s a gorgeous looking game but it’s also way too repetitive and the exploration is dogshit. I can’t bring myself to continue.

MS are a horrible company this isn’t good news. At the same time I won’t pretend to feel sad for them laying people off.

@JayJ it’ll be like that episode of South Park recently where all the high paid office jobs have gone to AI and mechanics and manual workers become the rich 😂😂

It makes me sad that physical is on the decline but I have to admit the majority of my games are now digital. If you have Gamepass on Xbox there’s very little point in buying physical games. I do still buy the odd physical game, but not very often.

I think the big 3 console makers should maintain a physical presence, even if it becomes niche, it should always be an option.

Maybe they weren’t happy watching their other teams drive around the office on scooters and lay about in hammocks under their desks during developer direct 🤣

Everyone feels sorry for these people but they have it good while it lasts.

@K1LLEGAL I’m betting the writing is still good because it isn’t blue haired western writers penning these games. Like a Dragons story was tremendous.

@UndyingInsurgent95 isn’t it Sonys policy that they don’t allow early access games on their system? Where as Xbox does. They should be taking aim at their god emperor if that’s the case.

Still too much. Needs to come down another £29.99 and even then I wouldn’t play this 😂

@BrianRGI2X they didn’t show much hellblade 2 in their 15 minutes, probably because it would have been half of the game.

While I liked the look of a couple of the games on show, I found it to be an incredibly boring 50 minutes, filled with unlikeable people waffling on and on and on and on. That’s just my personal opinion, I can understand why others may appreciate it as it’s a well put together show without a doubt.

Looks good, a graphical show piece. I wasn’t a big fan of the first game but I’ll give this some time, looks improved.

@Mephisto2869 Hellblade 1 is overrated imo and one of the most annoying games I’ve played through. 2 is looking swell, glad they’ve improved the combat.

@Kaloudz Thst SE game did nothing for me, it’s a sign their relationship is improving I guess but that game looked poor.
