When Xbox first announced its four titles moving over to other platforms last month, the team was keen to point out that Bethesda's Starfield wasn't going to be one of those ports. Despite this, rumours have swirled since about the potential for a PS5 version of the title - rumours that have now been played down by Jez Corden.
The Windows Central journalist took to Twitter yesterday to tell his followers that "great sourcing" has informed him that "nobody is working on Starfield for PlayStation right now". Corden went on to say that things could change down the line, but the move is not in Xbox's current plans.
These rumours appearing again seem to have been initiated by the PC release of Sony's Ghost of Tsushima, funnily enough. Twitter user Silknigth correctly posted about the PS5 exclusive's move to PC last month, not long after making this claim about Starfield:
For now, Corden seems to be going against the above rumour, although a late 2024 release could certainly be extrapolated as something completely different to Corden's "right now" Xbox timeline. We'll have to see how this all plays out, but it looks like chatter on Starfield to PS5 won't be dying down just yet.
