@raftos I was excited when Embracer made the acquisition. Eidos Montreal is now rumored to be working on a new Deus Ex. Not excited about the acquisition itself, just that Deus Ex may have a new lease on life. Square Enix didn't seem to be doing anything with it. Also I could easily see it coming to game pass day 1.
@uptownsoul If true, it's probably simply a byproduct of Push Square having more traffic. Otherwise, I don't see where you come off making such a claim. Did you conduct a peer reviewed study? What was your sample size? I also don't trust your assessment because it seems to me you really enjoy coming into the comments on this site and stirring the pot. Am I wrong here?
I'm waiting for Anniversary and the other 360 sequels to go on sale to pick up for the Series X. I don't feel as passionately as you do for the remake you are suggesting, but I can see an argument for it and would probably play it. Looking forward to the future of the franchise for sure though.
@themightyant
Ah yeah, I definitely agree. These types of games are so much about discovery for me. Give me unique amazing places to explore. Likewise I hope Outer Worlds 2 is more ambitious.
Hopefully Obsidian has been able to expand under Microsoft, because it seems like they are working on a lot. Avowed, Outer Worlds 2, Grounded, Josh Sawyer's 16th century European game. Pre-production on Fallout New Vegas 2?
@themightyant I would love this, but don't expect it. Given the size of Obsidian, and that they are working on multiple projects I would expect a more condensed version of Skyrim ala Outer Worlds. We'll see though. I expect a good time either way.
@Beasley2K You know, most people seem to prefer crunchy peanut butter, but I really think creamy tastes better. It also spreads easier. Don't get me wrong, crunchy peanut butter is better than no peanut butter, but given the option I prefer creamy. That's just me though.
@Magabro Glad to hear this about State of Decay. One of the games that interests me very much as someone that didn't have a Xbox One, and is still waiting on a Series X.
@The-Chosen-one It was the setting and mythology that drew me in, and when I got there I had a good time. I'd still like to try Valhalla, but I'm not in a hurry. Probably once I can get the super ultimate turbo edition for a song.
@armondo36 It did still sell very well, but didn't they miss their forecast of copies sold by a lot? I know people commenting on game sites are a vocal minority, so it will be interesting to see how their next game performs. I will be staying far away as I still feel the burning disappointment from my experience with the game. I do hope they redeem themselves, but even if they do I will be waiting for a deep discount.
@Bleachedsmiles I think you're being a bit premature. People leave game companies all the time for a myriad of reasons. Also, last I checked plenty of people find Sea of Thieves to be a quality title.
@PapaGlitch
Yeah, it probably really has to do with the benefit of nostalgia as their review mentions. I never played Uncharted until the collection with my PS4. I found that first game especially ROUGH, and the subsequent games ok. A lot of people seem to criticize the combat in those games as well. Maybe if the reviewer hadn't played the original PS3 versions, and had the nostalgia for them, he wouldn't have scored the collection a 9.
Also, I find it interesting that it seems with any game that the combat is often one of the first points of criticism. Is there a game with universally loved combat? I found the combat in the Witcher 3 fine, and others act like it sh*t in their cornflakes. 🤷
@Nerdfather1 I always liked the combat. I found the flashlight/burning off the darkness before the enemies were vulnerable unique. What makes it uninspired?
@Originut I assumed incorrectly that the original was on that HD collection. Seems weird that Playstation would have exclusive rights. 4 also never came to Xbox? Huh, go figure.
@sjbsixpack
" PS exclusive games are often masterpieces, no other game developer comes close."
Gamers throw this term around so often that it's completely meaningless. Truly, Ratchet and Clank: A Rift Apart is the Sistine Chapel of the videogame world.
@Xiovanni This is pretty much where I am in my life. I no longer have the drive to buy all systems, let alone every AAA game on day one, or at all. I may buy both one day, but I didn't last generation, or buy the half step upgrades.
@everynowandben
You're making me want to replay Mankind Divided. I never did play the DLC, is that any good? I was secretly hoping Arkane Austin was working on a Deus Ex clone with Harvey Smith. Alas, vampires.
Seems a bit silly to exclude games that didn't have official E3 branding. Just change the headline to most anticipated from all press conferences around E3, and then throw up whatever you like. Others are lumping in Elden Ring with E3.
Enjoyed the extended look at Psychonauts 2. Most disappointing absence was Starfield. Not surprised, I just really want to see gameplay. Next E3 then, sigh.

Different game. Amy Henig's game was codenamed Project Ragtag. I don't think they ever gave it a proper title as it was also canned.
