@Westernwolf4 it definitely got some updates. I’m gonna give it a try before it leaves. Paradox games normally stick around longer, so it’s odd to see it go. Maybe the devs got the rights back from paradox.
Edit: won’t have time to finish it before it leaves tho—looks like it’s at least 40 hours. I’d been meaning to play since it came out but was turned away by the bugs like you were.
I don’t know why square keeps trying to figure out the western market. Just make your games.
I do feel bad for deck nine and life is strange tho. I really wanted to like this one and support it. But there’s too much to play. If it had been on game pass I’d have played it day one.
Obviously people are going to say Morrowind, but I worry they would throw the baby out with the bathwater there. Todd has said many times how there would need to be too many changes for modern gamers. Unfortunately, that's the policy, to try to smooth the edges for modern gamers.
What I'd really like is to see them do something with Daggerfall. But, again, if it was too heavily remade, it wouldn't be the same anymore. Instead they'd want to add voices, do it in Unreal 5, overhaul everything...
@themightyant I've been waiting/hoping for some kind of Oblivion anything for ages now. My expectations are pretty low, but I'd probably also be happy just replaying Oblivion, and, in fact, I was thinking of at least replaying the Shivering Isles. I do think that if they streamline and improve/fix Oblivion too much, they might lose Oblivion in the process. But I could be wrong. There were a lot of aspects of Oblivion that were the strongest in the whole series. Daggerfall and Oblivion have always been my favorites.
It's crazy to me Bethesda hasn't employed groups not just to remake/remaster stuff, but to do side games. Obsidian or someone could have done a Skyrim side-game easily. But I guess they wanted to just keep going with mainline Skyrim, and the live service stuff, as is the trend.
@themightyant Yep, all that you said above. I also think the leveling system needs fixing, BUT, I hope they don't "fix" it by just giving it Skyrim's system or something.
What I hope they DON'T "fix" is the radiant AI. How wonky the game's AI and characters worked was part of what made the game great.
But, if they don't fix anything, then we're still going to have a bunch of people having inane conversations about mudcrabs and whatever else... Which I'm fine with, but.
The persuasion wheel minigame is a little awkward, but maybe it can stay. I kind of like it. I'm just thinking people are going to complain.
@themightyant I remember hoping for something Oblivion-related on its tenth anniversary in 2016 I've waited a long time, so I hope it's not cruddy! Oblivion is one of my favorite games, so I'm going to be easy to please but also hard to please. If it changes too much, I might not like it; and if it doesn't change at all, that won't be so good either... I don't think there's this wide gulf between Oblivion and Skyrim that people seem to think there is, though. A lot of Skyrim's changes were kinda blah, not to take away from how amazing it was at launch.
April is an odd time. I don’t see the advantage. Avowed kind of overshadowed the rogue trader drop, and oblivion will overshadow Clair obscur: expedition 33.
But whatever. I’m just hoping the remake is real and is somehow good yet still faithful to the 2006 game!
@Rog-X Ah, okay. It's worded a little confusingly! Depending on what all it can do, I actually do need to replace my PC. But I guess it depends if it does windows stuff as well, or if that'll be the next one (or the NextBox). Could be an option for me.
I would have been interested in a portable series s. But I don’t want a rog ally that streams cloud games. Oh well. Sounds interesting tho. Maybe I just don’t understand the concept yet.
The next Xbox console is going to incorporate a ton of AI… Microsoft is all about AI now. What it will be used for, we shall see. Game guide and copilot for sure, maybe more, maybe on device or cloud. Probably both.
That would be my preference, actually, all of the above. Of course we have no idea, but if the above speculation holds true, that’s not just what I want but what the market wants. Anyway, Xbox has always been the most PC-like console from the first generation onward.
Eiyuden might not leave considering it has dlc coming. If it does leave I guess I’ll skip the dlc. I got bogged down recruiting everyone (my own fault), and the spinning dungeon almost made me quit. Forced me to use a guide.
I wish 8bitdo or someone would make an affordable budget wireless one. I’ve been using a wired 8bitdo ever since my Xbox one controller started drifting
@FraserG I’m old asf so it seems like it just left to me. 😝 not that I’m not happy to see games come back. I was only able to play it on its way out last time.
Part of the way these games work is changing the context so often that many people never realize how shallow each little bit is. Or at least that’s how I felt about a way out and it takes two. This could be entirely different. But it says something about the attention span of many modern games (or lack thereof).
I had fun with A Way Out partially because of how laughably bad parts were, and It Takes 2 felt like a marvel movie of a game to me, trying to be everything for everyone. Maybe they’ve nailed it this time. If it’s not on game pass I’ll never know tho!
@Cakefish yeah game pass is a dlc machine. It’s odd they’d remove it with dlc on the way. On the other hand, it can prevent sales on dlc when something is on game pass. Won’t be seeing a sale on the rogue trader dlc anytime soon for instance!
So Sega is just divesting from game pass entirely to do their own service? I need to figure out what dates the other games arrived so I can assume when they’re leaving. I think yakuza 7 was a june addition, so I guess it’ll leave this June…
@carlos82 I think they might be on gog. They were super advanced at the time. If I recall, Skynet was more multiplayer focused. I just had the future shock demo
@carlos82 Bethesda made a couple decent terminator DOS games! They were actually the first true 3D games ever tho 😆 future shock and skynet. Elder scrolls 2: Daggerfall used the same 3D engine in 1996.

@themightyant I wouldn’t get your hopes up!
Re: Two First-Party Games Now Confirmed For Xbox Series X|S In April 2025
Banner Saga was great, but I’m not sure I’m going to be into a looter brawler.
Re: Stalker 2 Update 1.3 Brings Over 1,200 Fixes To Xbox & PC, Full Patch Notes Revealed
Glory. That’s a lot. I hope they’re finished with the thing before it leaves game pass.
Microsoft paid for 3 months of exclusivity (or 6 or whatever) and it’s been months of bugs they paid for.

@Ryu_Niiyama yeah, I have yakuza 7 on ps4, but I was gonna play it here before June (expected it to leave in June). Woops!
Re: 10 Games Will Leave Xbox Game Pass In Late March 2025
Depressing to see sega divest entirely. I’m surprised they didn’t take P3R as well; guess that one was an 18 month or 24 month deal.
Re: These 10+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (March 17-21)
KinnikuNeko is actually great and hilarious. I might get that day one. The demo was a blast.

Blue prince and expedition 33 will be in my wheelhouse if they turn out.
Tempopo also looks like it might be neat.
Re: Talking Point: What Other Bethesda Remakes Would You Like Xbox To Greenlight?
@VoidPunk Check out Daggerfall Unity. The GOG version of Fallout 1 should run just fine on modern PCs, too.
Re: Talking Point: What Other Bethesda Remakes Would You Like Xbox To Greenlight?
@VoidPunk Have you not tried Daggerfall Unity? It plays on modern PCs! Not modern consoles, though...

@Rob3008 they did add a few more ability points. Did you do the side quests?
Re: Avowed's New Update Now Live For Xbox, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
I was wondering why my game rebooted. I wonder why they don’t put patch notes on the system or notify you of updates.

@themightyant 19th anniversary 😂 not much ring to it

Re: Deals: Our Top 10 Picks From This Week's New Xbox Sales (March 11-18)
@FraserG Thanks, I will do that! Apparently Centum is coming out today, too, which is definitely indie.
Re: Here's What Might Be Leaving Xbox Game Pass In April 2025
Hey, some of these games just recently entered the standard tier, so it doesn’t really make sense for them to suddenly leave…
Re: Two Games Are Available This Week With Xbox Game Pass (March 11-13)
I’m looking forward to trying both, even tho gungeon is so old I can’t remember if I’ve ever played it
Re: Deals: Our Top 10 Picks From This Week's New Xbox Sales (March 11-18)
They need to have more indie sales. My interest in AAA stuff is all time low.
Re: Roundup: All The Rumoured Xbox Game Pass Titles We've Heard About So Far In 2025
Zero interest in any of this personally. I sometimes feel like game pass has changed since the activision merge, but maybe it’s in my head.

Mullet Madjack might be cool.
Kinda hard to get excited about games from 2017 sometimes (Gungeon), but I’ll try it; or Monster Train when it’s already been on there before…
Re: These Six Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (March 4-18)
@Brigurugi avowed is a flop just because you don’t like it? 🤔

So technically only one new one, not three

@TheGiraffe yeah cause what the world needs is yet another co-op survival game.
