Update []: It's now been confirmed that every game in this list is set to leave Xbox Cloud Gaming at the end of March as well. We've updated it accordingly.
Original Story: Xbox has revealed the next batch of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2025 today, and there are some big ones in the mix - including popular titles such as Monster Hunter Rise, Yakuza: Like a Dragon and a whole lot more.
We don't know the cloud status of these just yet, but the console and PC removals have been confirmed on the Xbox Game Pass console app and Xbox PC app respectively.
Here the full list of what's leaving Xbox Game Pass in late March 2025:
Date |
Game |
Platform |
---|---|---|
March 31 | Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | The Lamplighters League | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | Lil Gator Game | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | MLB The Show 24 | Console, Cloud |
March 31 | Monster Hunter Rise | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | Open Roads | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | Yakuza 0 | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | Yakuza Kiwami | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | Yakuza Kiwami 2 | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 31 | Yakuza: Like a Dragon | Console, PC, Cloud |
As is always the case, these games will be available with a discount of at least 20% until they leave Xbox Game Pass at the end of the month, while various Xbox sales may see them reduced even further as well.
While most of these games are worth a play, there are some short and snappy ones in here that could easily be blasted through by March 31st. Open Roads is only a few hours long and is worth a shot, while the two Yakuza Kiwami games are considerably shorter that the other series' entries on this list.

Ouch! March has seen some cracking games slip from the service. Still, with what's coming, and soon, it's amazing value nonetheless.
I'm hoping when today's batch is announced for the last half of March, we see some Crash Bandicoot 4!!
I wonder if SEGA are gearing up to do their own subscription ala Ubisoft?
Seems a lot of their content has left recently
@PsBoxSwitchOwner Wouldn't surprise me but to even convince me, they'd need to sort out their non-BC games (Sonic Heroes, 06 etc...).
@PsBoxSwitchOwner https://www.purexbox.com/news/2024/12/sega-is-reportedly-considering-its-own-gaming-subscription-service 🤔
Might purchase the yakuza games. Problem is I already have them on ps3/4.
NOOO!!
Yakuza Zero... not like this....
Oh well crash 4 and the oblivion remake are coming not to mention atomfall we are doing ok the Yakuza games have been on gamepass ages they were bound to leave eventually
@Kezelpaso thanks for that. Thought I had heard of it before!
A bigger shock to me was waking up today and seeing the ad free solitaire on pc was no longer ad free with xbox ultimate. Stealth kill or error, im not sure, but im not paying $20 a year more for solitaire
I think the Patrick Star game is heading our way soon…
I was interested in the concept of Lamplighters League, but I heard it was super buggy and the developer was no longer really supporting it. Did they ever fix it?
@Westernwolf4 I did the same thing … played it and was too buggy and never came back so don’t know if they actually fixed it.
I loved Lil Gator so will try to get a few more achievements before it goes
@PsBoxSwitchOwner yes, Sega doesn't like Game Pass and I understand them.
Depressing to see sega divest entirely. I’m surprised they didn’t take P3R as well; guess that one was an 18 month or 24 month deal.
@Ryu_Niiyama yeah, I have yakuza 7 on ps4, but I was gonna play it here before June (expected it to leave in June). Woops!
@Westernwolf4 it definitely got some updates. I’m gonna give it a try before it leaves. Paradox games normally stick around longer, so it’s odd to see it go. Maybe the devs got the rights back from paradox.
Edit: won’t have time to finish it before it leaves tho—looks like it’s at least 40 hours. I’d been meaning to play since it came out but was turned away by the bugs like you were.
@AlwaysPlaying Such a shame that this happened to us and @jesse_dylan. I thought the idea for this game was really cool. I hope if any of you do go back to play you find a playable game, but I have not seen anything to show that the updates helped much. What a shame. Thanks for the responses!
@Westernwolf4 I played Lamplighters on series S at launch and stopped due to crashes. I went back months later after multiple patches. It was better at first, I got deeper into the campaign, but ultimately crashes would not let me finish. I don't know if it is better on X or PC. I really liked it, so it was disappointing. Honestly, though, I highly recommend starting a playthrough just to see the first few hours
I have been playing Like A Dragon on and off for years. It was one of the first games I downloaded from game pass, with dead cells and Psychonauts 2. I think I'm on chapter 10 or so. Not sure if I'll buy it to finish (someday) or just say goodbye and start Infinite Wealth
In recent months, we have clearly seen a decrease in game pass budgets with games leaving and games being added to the game pass.
Looks like I STILL won't get a chance to finally get into the Yakuza franchise.
