Update []: As part of today's Xbox Game Pass roundup, Microsoft has dropped the number of departures from eight to seven, removing MLB The Show 24 - at least for the time being. We've also got confirmations of which games will leave the cloud.
The table down below has been adjusted to reflect these changes, and we'll keep you in the loop about MLB The Show.
Original Story: Xbox has revealed the first batch of games leaving Xbox Game Pass in March 2025 today, and there are some big ones in the mix - including popular titles such as Lies of P, Evil West, MLB The Show 24 and a whole lot more.
We don't know the cloud status of these just yet, but the console and PC removals have been confirmed on the Xbox Game Pass console app and Xbox PC app respectively.
Here the full list of what's leaving Xbox Game Pass in early March 2025:
Date |
Game |
Platform |
---|---|---|
March 15 | Evil West | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | Lies of P | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | No More Heroes 3 | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | Solar Ash | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom - Rehydrated | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | Yakuza 5 Remastered | Console, PC, Cloud |
March 15 | Yakuza 6: The Song of Life | Console, PC, Cloud |
As is always the case, these games will be available with a discount of at least 20% until they leave Xbox Game Pass in the middle of the month, while various Xbox sales may see them reduced even further as well.
We're still waiting on Microsoft to confirm more additions to Xbox Game Pass in March 2025, which most likely will happen this coming Tuesday. Until then, we have two confirmed titles for the month in 33 Immortals and Atomfall.

Lies of P, my beloved 😭
I’m surprised, I assumed they would keep it on for the launch of Overture DLC. I wasn’t expecting it to depart before the two year anniversary in September. So this is a shocking one for sure.
Luckily I have Rewards points saved up to cover this. I’ll wait to see if it goes on deeper sale over the next couple weeks, and if not I guess I’ll make do with the standard 20% discount.
Wow quite a heavy departure list. Either way though, this years offerings (that we know of so far) are packed.
So glad I got to beat lies of P before it leaves. Going to have to buy it just to play the DLC, but it is well deserved of the money (I hardly ever buy games....I know, I'm part of the problem).
That's a lot of good titles! Fortunate then that GP has plenty more incoming..
Im still bummed that the new mlb won't be on gamepass. A huge loss.
So Sega is just divesting from game pass entirely to do their own service? I need to figure out what dates the other games arrived so I can assume when they’re leaving. I think yakuza 7 was a june addition, so I guess it’ll leave this June…
@Cakefish yeah game pass is a dlc machine. It’s odd they’d remove it with dlc on the way. On the other hand, it can prevent sales on dlc when something is on game pass. Won’t be seeing a sale on the rogue trader dlc anytime soon for instance!
@FatGuyInLilCoat you're not part of the problem just because you don't buy many games. It's not like you're pirating a game, you just prefer playing via subscription. By the way I think I'm gonna buy Lies of P too, incredible game.
If you haven't tried Lies of P. Do it before it leaves. Probably my favorite game ever.
Despite GP I bought deluxe edition of lies of P. The game is phenomenal and I enjoyed it more than elden ring and dark souls. Its on par with bloodborne but more modern.
A masterpiece.
Just finished Lies of P. What a fantastic game. Its good for people trying to get into souls games because its mostly linear. Evil West is also a decent DMC style game.
Always thought I'd get into the Yakuza series at some point on Gamepass but never really knew where to start or if summer were with skipping. Never mind, plenty of other things to play.
@Scrubchub If you like turn-based games, start with Yakuza: Like A Dragon then Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
@Foxx_64740 thanks! I have subbed to gamepass ultimate since it was created (4 years?) And in the past 2 years there's been so many game options on it i just haven't had the need to spend 70 on a game.
kinda thought was weird lies of p is coming off as dlc is announced surely you'd keep in for people to buy the dlc🤣😅 hope this doesn't happen to sea of stars😭
Lies of pi and evil west both in my back log. Bad month for me. I need to get better at starting when they come on. Atomfall is my next game to play now
Played Lies of P, finished but honestly I have zero interest in playing it again or the DLC. It was fine. Nothing groundbreaking.
Evil West is a fun one. Shorter and a good action game.
Give it a shot if you like pure action with minimal exploration.
That’s a lot of good games to lose all at once. Lies of P, MLB, Yakuza, Evil West, No More Heroes, SpongeBob and even Solar Ash. A shame, as there’s a few I haven’t got around to yet.
Only Atomfall and 33 Immortals announced for March so far, hopefully those are good, and fingers crossed there are many others added as that’s a pretty big net loss so far this month.
@Lup I agree. Evil West was in my case boring as hell. I have played this game before, on other systems with a different story... Sure some players have nostalgia for brutal TPS but this one is really dumb and repetitive. I also played call of duty in my youth so I used to like those games.... Well not anymore.
@johndoe89
To each their own, that's for sure! Never played CoD myself.
I really liked it. Not a masterpiece but a fun game that know what it wants to be.
Lies of P was fine too but it's so full of soulslikes that I prefer when they try other things.
@Cakefish I think they're banking on the fact that people will just buy Lies of P to play the DLC, and to be frank, it's well worth the cost of admission. I bought Lies of P on PS5 the day it came out and have put well over 100 hours into it. What an amazing game!
I mentioned this last time but with the Yakuza games starting to leave and now even more this go around I’m convinced more then ever that the rumors that Sega wants to release there own streaming service are true
Please stop removing Yakuza all together.
At least one title at a time, please.
It is painful to play this large collection of titles all together.
Hey folks! Article has been updated to remove MLB The Show 24 (it's not in the list anymore) and add all the cloud removals that have now been confirmed.
I'm glad mlb the show is sticking around for now. I wonder how much longer it will be there. I was already trying to finish up the 5th season in the majors for my female road to the show player, 'Lady Ballplayer'. Maybe I can get one more season in and hit free agency.
I'm going to miss this series on gamepass.
Evil West is a great game. Lies of P would have been good if it were not another "souls like" game. Dying every 30 seconds gets old.
@xboxjapanfan Could always, you know, just buy them…
Thankfully all the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games got physical releases on PS4/5 (and Dead Souks on PS3!) and are on my shelf, even Man Who Erased His Name which I had to import. But by gum, they’re mine.
@dskatter Sure, you can buy the games you like.
But I feel Game Pass is becoming less and less appealing.
