Launching for Xbox this September, Terminator 2D: No Fate brings characters and scenes from the famous film 'Terminator 2: Judgment Day' into video game form - mixing them with "original scenarios" in this new Terminator experience.

Yes I will definitely be buying this and it's instantly become one of my most anticipated releases of the year. I only had to wait 30 odd years for a great looking 16 Bit Terminator 2 game
A Terminator game? An Alien game? A RoboCop game? A Predator game? Count me in! We've been thoroughly treated in recent years and with this game, an Alien Isolation sequel and more on the horizon, I'm one happy/nostalgic 80's camper.
It looks really good!
Tried to lookup up a physical copy on Amazon just now. My search autocorrected to "Terminator 2D Nonfat".
Oh my. This and Doom are my most anticipated games now.
Any idea why there is a PS4 version, and a PS5 version, whereas there is just one Xbox version, @Kezelpaso? Is the Series version playing just the Xbox One version but through backwards compatibility? Thanks...
@Fiendish-Beaver Separate versions for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S! That's what our press release says, anyway...
I assume it's a Smart Delivery title but can't confirm that just yet.
Day one for me. Loved terminator and (despite popular opinion) I loved all the movies. Yes, including Dark Fate.
Nice looks good hopefully they get the pricing right about 20 quid sounds about right I wouldn't be paying any higher than that in fairness 🧎
Instant buy for me. This looks really (retro) great!
Thanks, @FraserG. I was looking at the end of the above trailer where it shows two versions for the PlayStation and only one version for the Xbox. Just seems a little odd...
Playing this on switch 2
Can’t wait to play this. Made me remember renting robocop vs terminator from the video van for my mega drive
The world-year appropriate Terminator Survivors is just around the corner instead
This one trailer jumped this game up towards the top of my most anticipated games, this looks incredible.
Terminator 2D, Had to click on this article straight away. Looks absolutely epic! Love these retro style games.
Wish we could have it on game pass!
@TheGiraffe yeah cause what the world needs is yet another co-op survival game.
@carlos82 Bethesda made a couple decent terminator DOS games! They were actually the first true 3D games ever tho 😆 future shock and skynet. Elder scrolls 2: Daggerfall used the same 3D engine in 1996.
Cor, a decent Terminator game? Wonders never cease.
@jesse_dylan now that you mention it, I remember seeing a post on Twitter about while ago about those, they look pretty interesting. I'm gonna have to have a go at getting them running on my PC
It's a great 2D game filled with nostalgia! These are the type of indie games for day one release on Game Pass: small, high-quality games that are about 4-10 hours of fun!
@carlos82 I think they might be on gog. They were super advanced at the time. If I recall, Skynet was more multiplayer focused. I just had the future shock demo
@Fiendish-Beaver Smart Delivery means whatever Xbox you put the disc into, it will install that version of the game. I think the game case says both Xbox One and Xbox Series X. I'm so glad this is getting a physical release btw.
@jesse_dylan
I think it has single player storyline as well, I'm hoping
This right here. This is some good *****.
Thank you, though I do get that, @SMJ. I understand that it is made for the Xbox One and will play on the Series consoles. However, if you watch the video, right at the end they show a PS4 edition right next to a PS5 edition. So why is that? Is there something that is different about the PS4 version to the PS5 version? Or why have they not presented it the same as they have done with the Xbox version, which is to have just one version showing that lists both the Xbox One and Series versions? Am I wrong in thinking that a PS4 released today would not also play on the PS5?
@Fiendish-Beaver Because Sony insists on things being on separate discs. Any Xbox disc you ever buy is basically a digital key. PlayStation games are pretty much all there on the Blu-ray you paid for.
Thank you, @SMJ. That makes more sense...
