Hahaha the negative Nellie's. As if playground hasn't ever made amazing games. And clearly it's still being made. It's just awesome to see the update. I get it, you need to complain about something or you might realise you're miserable
Also game is clearly still being made or it would be out now. Salty weirdos on here trying to poop on what's been an amazing showcase. But that was to be expected. So far its been like an E3 blast from the past. Obsidian have the rep and clout to promote confidence and trust.
Awe man I wanna be all like "I'm cool with whatever" or "I'll go in with low expectations and be surprised" but truth is I'm so freaking excited it's unnatural. I mean, Starfield. STARFIELD. I've played almost every Bethesda game, including nearly all the elder Scrolls, and every Fallout, and seriously I'm just, agh, the impact those games have had on me. They've helped me calm down from sensory overload, brought stability to my life, to learn how to cope with changed and to just escape the pressures of having to mask in this loud confusing world. I know for a fact Starfield will be no different to their other creations. So that alone has me hyped. Now to add all the possibilities of what else, I can't even cope hahaha. Gamepass for president
@Scummbuddy let me know if you like it and if it's worth it =) it kind of looks pulpy. I've liked a lot games that people don't like, I wouldn't listen to anyone trying to dissuade you or imply you're fooling for something. Those kind of gamers are on a very sad pretentious and pedantic spectrum. Still make sure you know what you're getting in for ahah
I call them agents of negativity, their sole purpose and only objective is to contaminate other people's state of mind. The only way you can becom an Agent is to think negative thoughts all the time and constantly berate other people's creations. You have to be envious of what other people can create, and lack an imganiation. Then, you have to sit at a computer, or phone, and tell everyone why they should not like something. One night you go to bed, only to be woken up by seven foot tall shadow people, kind of like dementors, but they're in business suits and they have poor posture and they sigh a lot. You'll be offered a contract, in return they'll promise you a place at the table of misery. However, it is paramount you understand, that you can never like a thing ever again. You may participate, but you must never enjoy it.
This has to be it, right? After delays and cancellations and missed deadlines, this has gotta be it. I'm excited, I already know I'm gonna love the showcase because I know Starfield will be there. So already its better than any other showcase so far. However, I am also slightly jittery over the fears of them missing an open goal. Xbox gets ahead of itself, and that's okay, but with some beastly nasty brainless critics sniffing around, they can't afford to give any scraps to the haters. Though they'll hate regardless.
I find it funny how xbox critics try to weaponise their position as if its a signifier to their impending doom despite xbox always being in third position. I think the real fear is that xbox don't care, and that when it comes to services, they're first with gamepass. That's what the critics hate. It's why nearly any gamepass game gets crapped on instantly. Except for when it's a shadow drop and the players get there first. Then the critics have to play along. That's why I would love it if they shadow dropped Starfield. That would be a massive middle finger. Because with gamepass, critics are null and void. They're not gatekeepers to anyone's investments because its a subscription service, members can see for themselves.
I also find it scary how loud critics are, and how negativity magnetises hateful mobs, which results in games being killed or mutated beyond the original design. If they had it their way there would be no diversity. It'd all be third person over the shoulder A to B interactive movie. Not that there's anything wrong with that, hell I love those games, but I also love Mcdonald Cheeseburgers, yet you don't see me eating nothing but Cheeseburgers. (My life ain't that bad haha). Video games are meant to be fun, doorways to escapism, an alternative to reality. But the way people try to dictate what a game should be, is nothing short of overt censorship and equally as bad as crazy Christian mums trying to cancel TV shows.
Sorry, went off on a tangent. In short, this showcase is important ahah
Random haha. I tried getting into this, seeing as it had silent hill music composer attached couldn't lose myself in it. Will maybe try again with a remaster
I watched it live on Pushsquare but got tired of the xbox digs seriously why does a site dedicated to PlayStation talk so much about Xbox. Its sad. Gonna buy play magazine from now on, avoid push. They make me feel dirty having a PS5 haha.
So I came on here to watch it live. Obviously excited for spiderman 2, but having them day they're confident on the release date smells like a delay =/ hope not. The show itself was...I didn't like it. Its not E3 and it felt weird, I truly believe Geoff is out of his depth. He keeps trying to ve this angel figure that's come down from the gaming heavens to bless us with an event he thinks is better than E3 but truthfully, E3 had bigger reveals, bigger crowds, bigger mic drop moments.
Because that's the thing about events like this, you want new reveals, big shocks, a wow moment where the crowd goes wild. Like God of war reveal, or the declaring of a new console. What we got was updates on games we knew were coming out. We got weird release date announcements done awkwardly. It just felt....eh.
Sorry, that's my opinion and obviously it's down to how I personally felt about it. I think im not over the death of E3 yet.
@Adol-Bannings I got mine from the shop, too. Pre-ordered it then went to get it. I get what you mean. Shortages made it hard, the hype was exciting, but then both consoles (Xbox more so) didn't deliver as much as they promised.
It's odd though, I think this year and next we're gonna see the tables turn. Xbox will have releases, Playstation will have less to offer. Maybe. Probably not, but maybe haha
Yeah, I mean, I don't regret getting the Series X on the day it came out. Played hundreds of games, maybe more? But I can see why people are angry. I got it thinking I'd be playing Halo, then that got delayed, and then I refrained from getting a PS5 because I was told Starfield was coming out, then that got delayed, and delayed again. I guess it's good it did because I got my PS5 and I love it, but Xbox is my main console, but it is feeling a bit....like a lie, if that make sense. A promise that never comes true, and when it does, you get Redfall....I'm not fussy, I'm farily easily impressed, and I'll give any game a good chance, but c'mon Microsoft, enough with the emtpy promises. Get the ball rolling.
That said, once they do start firing out the games, I bet Gamepass with grow, but the consoles will take a lot of time, yet those who wish Xbox to fail will only focus on the console sales. Shame. Especially considering Xbox has never dominated on the console sales front, but it is smashing it with Gamepass. I guess that's why Sony is out for Xbox blood.
But yeah, let's see what happens. Hopefully we get more honesty, more reliable dates, and more games in this up coming showcase.
Also I know its not related but I like this website a lot. This, Pushsquare and NintendoLife are really cool, but to be honest, Purexbox is a tad cooler haha. It is a shame you get agents of negativity on here, but then I guess all they really succeed in doing is reminding us how much we enjoy xbox =)
Now I'll say something on topic so I don't break the rules. It's really cool when Phil praises other games, shows he's above the console drama and simply loves games. I can't wait to play diabo on gamepass =)
@LoquaciousB I've learnt that it's best to not feed the dogmatic agents of negativity. He makes assumptions based on his narrow minded views, can't argue or reason with someone who believes their opinions are superior. Also, I get the impression he isn't interested in having a non bias conversation. He just wants to bait others into a confrontation. Sad when you think about it. Imagine having that mindset where you actively seek out arguments
@StonyKL I played all those games, all those consoles, I'm 32 years old. But kids? I couldn't cope. Sorry, the gamer parents are the worst was a joke, as was the other comment. I got autism. My apoligies. Usually my wife translates for me in real life haha
I showed my nephew Morrwind and he told me it was the worst graphics in the world. So I showed him Heroes of might and magic. Now he thinks I'm ancient haha
@ZuneTattooGuy What is it about the creation engine that you don't like? Genuinely interested.
For me, I've been playing Elder Scrolls since daggerfall, though I never could get my hands on Arena =( I think the world's they build and the stories and the indepth designs is what makes their games so good. The freedom to almost do what you want. And there's no denying the huge fan base they have, Skyrim still going strong and Skyrim was awesome. Glitches and bugs are kind of the typical expectation with Bethesda. Sometimes they make the game extra fun haha.
Were you ever a fan or have you always dislike the engine they run on? Or they just not your cup of tea. Despite their flaws we can't deny how successful they've been. 76 was crap, but everyone is allowed to stumble once in a while.
I am so freaking excited for this. Seriously. Its like E3 on steroids level of excitement and I know, I know, temper whatever but to hell with that STARFIELD LETS GOOOOOOOO
@Kaloudz Push seems to play to their demographic, seeing as the most vocal and interactive users are dogmatic in their views, it makes sense to capitalise on that, sadly. This site is brilliant, give or take a few agents of negativity haha.
On a side note, did you know xbox has always been third place? When the doom and gloom birgrade try to spread fear of xbox shutting down, bare in mind they've never beat Sony or Nintendo. That's why gamepass is their focus.
Sorry, just watched a video on console sales since the atari. Shame atari never kept up in the race. Though despite dreamcast dying they still held onto third place long after xbox entered the arena.
Back on topic, I just thought, wasn't there talk of a Pyschonaughts remaster/remake? That as a shadow drop would be a brilliant surprise.
@Exerion76 Panzer Dragoon!!! Also, Quake, how the hell did i not think of that. I loved Quake. Oh, y'know what else, Turok. That game deserves a proper reboot.
@Cherip-the-Ripper I love the Indy movies, except Crystal Skull. I think they hold up well. Then again, maybe it's nostalgia goggles, or autism. I love them know. Shame they've dated for you
Oh, just as a wish, I wish that they shadow dropped Starfield. Just dropped it on the night. I know it won't happen, but man, if they did. I'd probably scare my rabbit to death by screaming so loud hahaha
What I predict: Indiana Jones, Gears of War Remaster, Starfield (haha), Hellblade 2, Elder Scrolls online information, Forza, and maybe Fable Remakes/Remasters.
What I want: Morrowind Remaster (RTX Upgrade even), IneXile game, all of the above (In the prediction part), Avowed, Fable, Wolfenstien, Halo part 2 or just a new Halo, Evil Within 3.
What we'll probably end up with: Starfiled, Forza, CGI adverts for Hellblade, Elder Scrolls Online, Third party games. Gamespass announcments.
Yeah, May has been a dud for me. Which is fine, usually GamePass always has something amazing to offer. I think Redfall was suppose to be their highlight and so they didn't want put any games on there what would detract from it, but now I bet they wish they did
PS Plus had Ratchet and Clank to carry me over to June at least. That said though, I have enjoyed Cassette Beasts on Gamepass, so not all a dud.
Moved into a flat with my wife after living with my parents for 32 years, so pretty much my whole life. Got so much to do barely have time to play any games right now, but I'll getting onto Cassette Beasts on Xbox, Mario Odysee on Switch, and Ratchet and Clank on PS5, maybe start on Last of Us 2 again seeing as I have a proper gaming monitor now
@ZuneTattooGuy also, resident evil 7 and Village are FPS. I was thinking in that style, for resident evil 1. Maybe I should clarify and say just first person horror. But I think you knew what I meant, you just wanted to bully someone for their opinion. My wife says your circumstances are probably why, and I agree she's probably right.

@pip_muzz glad you said it =) it's a shame that they have that mindset. Then again, Sony showcase was so bad they must be envious as hell

What I predict:
Indiana Jones, Gears of War Remaster, Starfield (haha), Hellblade 2, Elder Scrolls online information, Forza, and maybe Fable Remakes/Remasters.
What I want:
Morrowind Remaster (RTX Upgrade even), IneXile game, all of the above (In the prediction part), Avowed, Fable, Wolfenstien, Halo part 2 or just a new Halo, Evil Within 3.
What we'll probably end up with:
Starfiled, Forza, CGI adverts for Hellblade, Elder Scrolls Online, Third party games. Gamespass announcments.
All three sound great to me,

Yeah, May has been a dud for me. Which is fine, usually GamePass always has something amazing to offer. I think Redfall was suppose to be their highlight and so they didn't want put any games on there what would detract from it, but now I bet they wish they did
PS Plus had Ratchet and Clank to carry me over to June at least. That said though, I have enjoyed Cassette Beasts on Gamepass, so not all a dud.
June I am expecting great things
