Re: Starfield 'Biggest' Update So Far Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes

@Kaloudz I thought it was ugly, but I had seen so much of it online prior to my own playthrough the graphics itself didn't bother me all that much. I thought it was a decent rpg, combat was a bit simplistic but not bad.
I didn't game back when it originally launched but I feel the same way yh, about the majority of 360 games I suppose.
Oh speaking of ff7, the 2nd part of the remake is dropping next month.
Did you still not make the switch to ps?

Re: These 10+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (January 29 - February 2)

Cherip-the-Ripper

@UndyingInsurgent95 nahhh, really tempted because I genuinely think it looks great. It's a looter shooter that's right up my alley.
But I don't think it's worth its mrsp, besides with their stance on the battle pass system I'm not really missing out on anything if I get it down the line instead.
If anything it'll be more worthy of my money.
Also, my gpu is running out next month and I don't think I'm gonna extend it, at least not right away.
The game wouldn't be as playable without it.
Only two weeks left for Banishers though, I'm not picking it up but assume you are so I hope the game's great!!
P.S. I preferred your Atlas Fallen pfp

@RBRTMNZ I just wanna counter by saying that your critique might be missed nonetheless.
Sometimes someone can't quite put their finger on why they don't or can't like a game as much as they would want, your input might be critical.
And yh I know people aren't waiting for 'negative' comments, or anything really that shoots down their fav game or game they just liked but I wanna point out that even though it might not look it, your critique might very well be underappreciated mate.
Know at least that I appreciate both sides of the coin in an argument. 🫡

@Edwirichuu Valhalla is probably the biggest game, and proper ubisoft open world.
You won't run out of things to do.
If however you're bored of the ubi open world formula try any of the older games ( anything before Origins).
Do however be mindful of how outdated they can be, they don't really have 'combat', some look pretty ugly and bugs are still aplenty.
Also if you want a proper introduction to the whole Abstergo narrative then again the older games are the ones to recommend as a starting point.
1st game is backwards compatible.
AC2, brotherhood and revelations (so 2nd-4th games in the series) are part of ezio's trilogy, which isn't a direct sequel to the first game, but cheap enough on sale and rather fun, albeit, again rather outdated.

@jedinite nah no worries, I love reading up on people's experiences with older games because it's stuff I missed out on during my childhood.
I don't even know any of those retro games 😭
But as far as newer games go yh I can't wait to get around to AW2 as well, loved the hell out of Lies of P, probably my goty this year, really loved Remnant 2 as well.
And Robocop looks pretty amazing, glad the dev is going from strength to strength.
Their terminator game looked a bit off haha, here's to hoping they do a Judge Dredd game after this, I need more of those 80s movies inspired games 😮‍💨

@jedinite yakuza 0 was my first yakuza game, and one of the first few games I played for context.
I played it for 55 hours. Prolly was more like 50, but spent some hours doing random stuff from the trophy list.
There was this one cheev for instance that had you walking around the town until someone would light a cigarette for you.
Very trivial thing but as the majority of gamers just run around it's a very neat thing to just experience. Makes it all feel more alive.
The average playtime would depend on your playing habits I suppose, if you like playing story heavy games, lots of cutscenes in a relatively small sandbox then you'll probably spend a similar time on it, or even more.
On the other side of the coin you might dislike the amount of cutscenes in it, especially towards the beginning when they try to setup the story. The game isn't very interactive just yet at those stages and it's one of the main complaints I've seen very often.
In that case, if you were to somewhat 'rush' it I still think you'll play it for about 20 hours give or take.
And yh you're right lots of modern day sensibilities, just say your say tbh
Sorry for the rambling, been a while since I played it, brings forth some very fond memories.
If you manage to get around to playing it I hope you love it as much as many others do, used to be one of my favorite ps exclusives before it got ported over, I'm glad it's more readily available now.

Edit: seems I misremembered, according to truetrophies I've played yakuza 0 for 65 hours.

Re: Pure Xbox Game Club January 2024: Like A Dragon Gaiden

Cherip-the-Ripper

@jedinite granted I only played P5 I don't think the two series share a similar look.
Beyond being japanese sega games they don't really share much of a resemblance.
Persona games are anime style and yakuza looks kinda realistic.
Hell people used to call the yakuza games gta clones, don't think I've ever even seen anyone call em a jrpg at least before some of them turned into turn based games a few years back.
Also if you wanna give the yakuza games a chance I'm of the opinion that yakuza 0 is a better starting point. (Like many others actually).
Like someone else on here mentioned this gaiden is a spinoff to bridge the gap between games. It also references lots of events from the older yakuza games.
