Grounded was surprisingly great, despite my dislike of survival games. But Outer Worlds takes the crown. Not bloated, just a perfectly balanced bite sized rpg.
@Kaloudz booted it up earlier. Dunno if you're into One Piece but it's great to be back with the crew. Haven't even played it though, just watched some cutscenes
@Kaloudz I thought it was ugly, but I had seen so much of it online prior to my own playthrough the graphics itself didn't bother me all that much. I thought it was a decent rpg, combat was a bit simplistic but not bad. I didn't game back when it originally launched but I feel the same way yh, about the majority of 360 games I suppose. Oh speaking of ff7, the 2nd part of the remake is dropping next month. Did you still not make the switch to ps?
@Kaloudz no, not talking about the game. Game's fun but as uninspired as could be. More on my phone when I play it these days than actually playing it because of the constant loading screens. Also been getting mad frame drops recently. I don't really see why people are excited about ES6 😅
@Kaloudz I remember doing this one mission that had pretty good alien vibes to it but as far as big sci-fi IPs go it truly has been a majorly wasted opportunity throughout. Unless I magically missed em all, I'm almost done with my first playthrough.
@Kaloudz how do you mean beyond or new saga? Kakarot seems to cover the majority of canon with its dlc offerings and sth like Xenoverse 2 apparently has lots of non-canon content to it. Wouldn't those suffice?
@UndyingInsurgent95 nah that's fair, I had the exact same thoughts and figured you'd have the same strong feelings about it haha Can't wait till I get a playtest invite from 'PulluP' 😂 Also, I see you changed it 👀 What is it now The Surge?
@UndyingInsurgent95 nahhh, really tempted because I genuinely think it looks great. It's a looter shooter that's right up my alley.
But I don't think it's worth its mrsp, besides with their stance on the battle pass system I'm not really missing out on anything if I get it down the line instead.
If anything it'll be more worthy of my money.
Also, my gpu is running out next month and I don't think I'm gonna extend it, at least not right away.
The game wouldn't be as playable without it.
Only two weeks left for Banishers though, I'm not picking it up but assume you are so I hope the game's great!!
P.S. I preferred your Atlas Fallen pfp
@UndyingInsurgent95 I played the suicide squad beta for about four hours, thought the campaign was great.
Pretty small sample size for sure but I don't think it's gonna be as bad as people make it out to be.
I thought it was better than the first four hours of Marvel's Avengers.
@StylesT same, props to Troy. I thought that if they had actually gotten Ford they would've promoted the hell out of it. But the resemblance was a bit too uncanny at times.
Ima miss the lock on to invincible mfers. Still running medium, switched to the AKM. It's so hard sometimes but when it flows the game is a blast, literally.
I personally loved it, plays great. Didn't have any bugs/glitches/crashes in my 4 hours of playtime. Combat was good, cutscenes were great. But I'd be dumb to buy it at launch, looks set to be a very deep discount title within the first two months.
Out of these I think I've only played Asylum maybe two years back and it bored me to death. The constant stealth got to me, too linear and some puzzles were mad annoying. Enjoyed my time with Knight more. @Kaloudz you gotta get on The Batman (2022) Kaloudz, what a movie that is 😮💨
@RBRTMNZ I just wanna counter by saying that your critique might be missed nonetheless.
Sometimes someone can't quite put their finger on why they don't or can't like a game as much as they would want, your input might be critical.
And yh I know people aren't waiting for 'negative' comments, or anything really that shoots down their fav game or game they just liked but I wanna point out that even though it might not look it, your critique might very well be underappreciated mate.
Know at least that I appreciate both sides of the coin in an argument. 🫡
@Edwirichuu Valhalla is probably the biggest game, and proper ubisoft open world. You won't run out of things to do. If however you're bored of the ubi open world formula try any of the older games ( anything before Origins). Do however be mindful of how outdated they can be, they don't really have 'combat', some look pretty ugly and bugs are still aplenty. Also if you want a proper introduction to the whole Abstergo narrative then again the older games are the ones to recommend as a starting point. 1st game is backwards compatible. AC2, brotherhood and revelations (so 2nd-4th games in the series) are part of ezio's trilogy, which isn't a direct sequel to the first game, but cheap enough on sale and rather fun, albeit, again rather outdated.
@jedinite nah no worries, I love reading up on people's experiences with older games because it's stuff I missed out on during my childhood. I don't even know any of those retro games 😭 But as far as newer games go yh I can't wait to get around to AW2 as well, loved the hell out of Lies of P, probably my goty this year, really loved Remnant 2 as well. And Robocop looks pretty amazing, glad the dev is going from strength to strength. Their terminator game looked a bit off haha, here's to hoping they do a Judge Dredd game after this, I need more of those 80s movies inspired games 😮💨
@jedinite yakuza 0 was my first yakuza game, and one of the first few games I played for context.
I played it for 55 hours. Prolly was more like 50, but spent some hours doing random stuff from the trophy list.
There was this one cheev for instance that had you walking around the town until someone would light a cigarette for you.
Very trivial thing but as the majority of gamers just run around it's a very neat thing to just experience. Makes it all feel more alive.
The average playtime would depend on your playing habits I suppose, if you like playing story heavy games, lots of cutscenes in a relatively small sandbox then you'll probably spend a similar time on it, or even more.
On the other side of the coin you might dislike the amount of cutscenes in it, especially towards the beginning when they try to setup the story. The game isn't very interactive just yet at those stages and it's one of the main complaints I've seen very often.
In that case, if you were to somewhat 'rush' it I still think you'll play it for about 20 hours give or take.
And yh you're right lots of modern day sensibilities, just say your say tbh
Sorry for the rambling, been a while since I played it, brings forth some very fond memories.
If you manage to get around to playing it I hope you love it as much as many others do, used to be one of my favorite ps exclusives before it got ported over, I'm glad it's more readily available now.
Edit: seems I misremembered, according to truetrophies I've played yakuza 0 for 65 hours.
@jedinite granted I only played P5 I don't think the two series share a similar look.
Beyond being japanese sega games they don't really share much of a resemblance.
Persona games are anime style and yakuza looks kinda realistic.
Hell people used to call the yakuza games gta clones, don't think I've ever even seen anyone call em a jrpg at least before some of them turned into turn based games a few years back.
Also if you wanna give the yakuza games a chance I'm of the opinion that yakuza 0 is a better starting point. (Like many others actually).
Like someone else on here mentioned this gaiden is a spinoff to bridge the gap between games. It also references lots of events from the older yakuza games.
How tf has it been two years already 😂
That's crazy. Be cool if we got one next year with the dud that's FM.
More importantly, what would the setting be.
Looks like TDU has got Hong Kong and flashy night neon lights on lock. I'd still wanna see what they do with Asia though.
Not too surprised, back in October they announced the alpha and I've been waiting for any news on it since. It is looking good though, at this point they might as well take more time and try to release it a bit before fifa hits to gain traction and maybe nick some of their users.
Definitely on the way up but still a pretty terrible year in my opinion given that ghostwire released last year the only redeeming aspect was hi-fi rush. FM had too many issues holding it back and redfall was plain terrible. Only a few hours into starfield though.
Can't speak on resi 4 but the sotc remake has def been robbed of a goty nomination, maybe even a W though I don't think they ever would've in 2018. 😮💨

About what I expected, time to shoot up some folks.
Might've missed it then but how long did it take you to get through?
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (February 1-4)
@Kaloudz it's only about 30gbs. I've been blessed with fibre though so dunno if saying that is hypocritical of me haha.
Godspeed 🫡

Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (February 1-4)
@Kaloudz yeah they do. Was in the works for quite a while and was received fairly well.
I haven't watched it and am not planning on either though.
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (February 1-4)
@Kaloudz wtf you on about haha, I never mentioned Luffy.
Did you play world seeker?

Re: Microsoft Adds 'Vapor Collection' To Xbox Design Lab & Unveils New Special Edition Controller
Man I hope all of this will work retroactively on the new controller when it launches. Feels like a pipedream but it sure would be nice.
Re: Starfield 'Biggest' Update So Far Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@Kaloudz hmm yh I guess that makes sense.
I hadn't played Skyrim up until two years ago as well.
Re: Starfield 'Biggest' Update So Far Is Now Live, Here Are The Full Patch Notes
@IssaBrvndo yh we're talking about the same one haha
As soon as they mentioned xeno and xenowarfare I got all giddy

Re: These 10+ Games Are Coming To Xbox Next Week (January 29 - February 2)

Changing it to PulluP

The game isn't wholly bad but exactly what parts of its gameplay were innovative 🤔
