It's been five years since Rocksteady and WB Games unleashed the Batman: Arkham Collection on Xbox One, bundling Arkham Asylum, Arkham City and Arkham Knight into one package, and it's once again returned to the Xbox charts!
Specifically, Batman: Arkham Collection sits in sixth place in the UK and ninth place in the US right now, placing it above the likes of Baldur's Gate 3, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Hogwarts Legacy in one or both countries.
The reason? As part of the Xbox Last Chance Sale, it's down to just £7.49 / $8.99 for the next few days.
It goes without saying that Batman: Arkham Collection makes up an incredible selection of three classics that you should definitely try if you're interested, with the downside being that none of these games were ever FPS Boosted for Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. Worse still, the Xbox One X version that the collection received in 2018 was such a let down that Digital Foundry called it "the most disappointing Xbox One X upgrade we've seen".
If you're willing to deal with all of that, Batman: Arkham Collection is still 100% worth your time in 2024. Rocksteady's focus is obviously now on the upcoming release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, but it's these three Batman games that originally put the developer on the map - and for extremely good reason!

Breaks my heart they never bumped the resolution for any of them. Especially since they added a new costume to the game in the last few months.
As unmistakably phenomenal those three games are - I am rather disappointed Rocksteady didn't include a Ng+ for Asylum 🙂
Arkham Asylum was the first game I ever returned. Bored me to tears.
Gave City a chance, hated it.
Arkham Knight was kinda cool, but never finished it.
Arkham Knight - Batmobile-shaped warts and all - is my favourite of the Rocksteady Arkham games. And play it on PC if you can. Slightly iffy character models aside, at 4K with max settings at 60fps that game still looks phenomenal even today 👌
I hate the frame pacing on Arkham asylum to the point I wish they just allow me to just use the xbox one s version with the 30 fps cap. It doesn't matter now as I bought the pc version on steam and those run 60 fps on a potato these days outside of arkham knight.
Asylum is in my top 10 games of all time. Its a masterpiece.
I loved these games. I’m surprised by some of the comments that didn’t like them. Not trying to troll them, they are more than welcome to have a valid opinion of the game. I had a blast with the Arkham games.
Saw this last night and immediately text my brother to get him to buy it. He’s never played any of them, but enjoyed the Spider-man games on PS4/5. Personally, I think these were better games than Spider-man (which were unquestionable good games) and I prefer Batman as a character.
No 60 fps mode? I have only played Batman Arkham City Armoured Edition (Wii U).
I bought it last time it was on sale played asylum and going tru Arkham city now there just great games the frame rate and everything else doesn't effect me enjoying the games although they could of done made it much better than it ended up
@Kaloudz Actually think you would enjoy they games - image Valhalla with a darker palette…
I know it was not popular at launch, but still don’t get why Origins was ignored for this collection, and delisted entirely despite being BC (?)…
Origins & Knight are the best games
@Tharsman probably because of the multiplayer or because they don’t consider origins cannon enough
I was slightly tempted by this collection, after getting Series X for Christmas...
But Arkam Knight only runs at 720p on all Xbox, that's atrocious in 2024.
They also just updated the game and did nothing to fix this issue. No sale.
Rocksteady's focus is obviously now on the upcoming release of Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League
Reading some of the previews for the game, it's quite clear that Suicide Squad will need more than just focus from Rocksteady'. I can't believe they went from the Arkam Trilogy to this..
I love the game , still one of the best games
Replayed Arkham City again last year and it still reigns supreme. By far the best super hero game made to date. The overall tone, gameplay, characters, dialogue, etc. are unmatched imo. A true classic if I have ever seen one. Too bad it was all downhill from there for Rocksteady.
@Kaloudz These Batman games give off the Nolan movie vibe more than a cartoon version. Yes I played them and really enjoyed and really think if Enzo wore a cowl that you would be in a AC game at times. Arkham Knights has more of the Batmobile arcade car driving aspect at times. If you did enjoy then you would really enjoy them. I do prefer Marvel but Batman is the King of DC for me.
@nomither6 If there was multiplayer in Origins, I ever touched it. I just remember enjoying the campaign and thinking the hate was not deserved.
Loved these games at launch and still do. Still hold up imo. Asylum my fave I think. Always preferred Batman to Spiderman. Batman is a lot darker and more 'adult ' imo whereas SM is very kid friendly.
@Tharsman i agree, origins is unfairly hated and underrated. its no better or worse than any other game at minimum, though like i said earlier, i believe its one of the best batman games.
Out of these I think I've only played Asylum maybe two years back and it bored me to death. The constant stealth got to me, too linear and some puzzles were mad annoying. Enjoyed my time with Knight more.
@Kaloudz you gotta get on The Batman (2022) Kaloudz, what a movie that is 😮💨
@Lup Batman doesn't like you either.
No real 60fps without the disc and No Arkham Origins still pisses me off to this day (Especially because it is THE BEST Arkham game and the multiplayer was so fun, rip).
It's really a crime these games were released in such a state.
@Tharsman I replayed Asylum, City, and Origins this year, and I think the biggest hit against Origins is how pretty much everything in the game in clearly copied from Arkham City. I don't think it deserves the hate it got, but Arkham City was a 10/10 when it came out, and Origins was more like a 7.5/10. I also had quite a few bugs with Origins, while City worked perfectly.
Easily the best Superhero games available !! Origins is also fantastic if you have the Physical copy
they will maybe likely fix the games on the switch release
this way they can resell u the same games again at full price
@Sol4ris from what I played last month, Kill the Justice League isn't something I'll be looking at when it releases. It was actually sad to see how far Rocksteady has sunk in the 8-9 years since Arkham Knight.
Fantastic games. I still have to complete Arkham Knight. 😄
@InvaderFromSpace city was just asylum in open world. same graphics , same floaty combat & animations, same models , same sound effects …
@Kaloudz You'll love the 60's Batman series lol
There was a definite missed opportunity to not include Arkham Origins as part of this. I know it was a different dev but it's the same publisher and IP owner.
It would have been great to see all 4 with boosted frame rates, higher res and NG+.
@Kaloudz no sarcasm. I love the movie to bits
That's because it's dirt cheap right now, this collection was done poorly back when it came out.
@__jamiie
They would have included Origins if it wasn't a terrible game
I bought it. Couldn't pass up $12aud for them. I have the original releases on playstation but mostly play on xbsx now.
