Microsoft is back with even more Xbox controller options today, as the team expands its Design Lab program into 'Vapor' territory. Remember last year's 'Stormcloud Vapor' pad? Well, you can now apply the very same effect to Xbox Design Lab controllers across a variety of different colours.
They're calling this one the 'Vapor Collection' and it's available now within the Xbox Design Lab suite. As a taster, Microsoft has dreamt up a number of Vapor options using Design Lab - we'll drop these examples down below.

Speaking of dreaming things up - the Xbox team has actually fully designed its own new Vapor pad that'll be sold outside of Design Lab as well. Named 'Dream Vapor', this pink and purple swirl-effect controller is the team's latest unique design.
For now, these new designs are only available on the standard Xbox Series X|S pad - they aren't applicable to the Elite Series 2 controller through Design Lab. Also, while that 'Dream Vapor' colour scheme is selectable right within Design Lab itself, Microsoft's version includes an exclusive Xbox Series X|S dynamic background to match the controller.

Lastly, the Xbox Gear Shop is celebrating the occasion by adding a range of new hoodies based on the whole 'Vapor' design scheme. It's probably worth checking locally to see if these are available to you, but we're seeing them here in the UK in various different colours.
Are you tempted to grab one of these? Tell us what you make of them down below.

Man I hope all of this will work retroactively on the new controller when it launches. Feels like a pipedream but it sure would be nice.
Ooh I love those!
All thse special edition controllers, can we at least have a couple with programmable buttons on the rear.
Really like the designs, but yeah given the rumours of a new controller arriving soon I'll be waiting for that...
I still think the Gamesir G7 SE is the best controller currently available for xbox. Programmable back buttons and hall effect sticks/triggers is a killer combo.
@johnK
I wouldn't advise anybody but another Xbox controller until the new revision drops.
That said, that's what the Elite controllers are. They're in Controller labs.
Thankfully the faceplates are easily swappable. Just pop it off and clip a new one on. Did the same thing with my elite series 2 after painting a clear shell.
@Sakai It being wired only kills it for most people, myself included.
@InterceptorAlpha damn that's a beauty
ms pushing kids to vaping.
@Cherip-the-Ripper
Thank you! Now'a'days they sell a a translucent green cover.
This was before that though so I painted the inside of a clear cover with Krylon clear green. Was happy with how it turned out
@Sakai I'd be all over that controller if it was wireless.
I hear kids are really into vaping and bright colours now so I'm sure these'll sell well.
