While Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will feature the likeness of the legendary actor Harrison Ford, one thing missing will be his voice. Yes, in case you didn't hear it the first time around, it's now been confirmed voice acting veteran Troy Baker is lending his talent.
MachineGames co-founder and lead game designer Jerk Gustafsson confirmed this during an interview with Entertainment Weekly, going on to mention how Baker is a "big Indiana Jones fan" and has been "incredibly" invested in this particular role and doing it justice.
He even flew out to MachineGames early on in the project and "really brings forward that [Indiana Jones] charm and sense of humor in such a good way," according to Gustafsson.
Baker has previously voiced characters like Joel Miller from PlayStation's The Last of Us and also Sam Drake in Naughty Dog's Indiana Jones-inspired action series Uncharted. His supporting cast includes the Italian actress Alessandra Mastronardi as the investigative journalist Gina Lombardi and the Greek-German actor Marios Gavrilis as the villain Emmerich Voss.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will arrive on Xbox Series X|S, Game Pass and PC later this year.

Yeah at times I thought it sounded a bit like Ford....but it was defo bugging me thinking that's not him isit....shame
Troy Baker does a great Harrison Ford impression. It would have been noticeable and akward if the 81 year old actor tried to voice his 30ish year old self.
They could have tried an AI version but that wouldn't go over well since the mere mention of AI seems to trigger the gaming community.
According to imdb, troy baker has acted in 407 works. A true legend of voice acting.
@StylesT same, props to Troy.
I thought that if they had actually gotten Ford they would've promoted the hell out of it.
But the resemblance was a bit too uncanny at times.
Im not a Troy Baker fan but i gotta say he sounds great as Indy in the little bit we've heard
Only a fool would think Harrison Ford would do the voice over for a video game ,he hasn't got time for that nonsense
I thought he did a great job. Not exactly like Harrison Ford, but he sounds very similar.
They should have gotten Anthony Ingruber to do the voice. He sounds better and would have been cheaper. He also wasn't dumb enough to support AI replacing voice actors in the industry. Troy should have been shunned from the whole industry after that stunt. Instead the industry has become way too incestuous with Troy Baker voicing 90% of everything all the time.
Should have asked Mark Hamill to voice him as he can do a flawless impersonation of Ford.
@JokerBoy422 I thought it was NFT's Troy showed support towards? Unless it was both what wouldn't shock me
I was hoping they would get back Doug Lee to voice Indy, after doing it at least two previous times on Indy games.
He sounds great, with the visuals it's really about the best you can get with recasting.
Impressive work from Troy Baker I was genuinely wondering if it was Harrison Ford trying to do a younger version of himself for a little while. Sounded great to me
It sounds absolutely terrible imo. Not sure why they didn't actually use AI to get it right? Could they use Troy to get it done (so a human still gets the wage) but use AI to make it sound much better? Bit disappointed with the trailer to be honest. Flipping between 1st and 3rd person, combat looked a bit lame. Just get the feeling the trailer did nothing to portray how the actual game will play, which I'm hoping is a good thing.
He sounded perfect for the role from what we heard in the trailer. I doubt Harrison Ford would have had much interest anyway in doing this. Overall I think they handled it perfectly. Get Harrison Ford's likeness, find a suitable young voice for Indy.
Good stuff all around Machine Games.
I suppose Harrison Ford’s voice is too ‘old’ nowadays. I remember when they got Sean Connery to voice a James Bond game when he was about 80, it just didn’t work.
@BacklogBrad Really? AI? Hahahahahaha. That would be a disaster; probably a multimillion dollar disaster for just the voicing. Any "AI" is a very long way away from being advanced enough to be used like that. Bethesda gets enough bad press as it is.
Sometimes a talented voice actor can do a great job of playing a famous acting role from a bygone era. Obviously Harrison Ford doesn't sound the same as he did back in his prime when he made the original trilogy.
I can imagine Troy's paycheck is a lot lighter than Harrison fords one would have to be for him to voice the game to be honest the fact it's his likeness is enough really
Troy Baker while over used ( I immediately recognized his voice) is a master va and does a really good job imitating Ford.
I think this is the best solution. Harrison Ford himself doesn’t sound like young Indiana Jones anymore. Moreover we’ve seen far too many big movie actors dial it in for games.
Troy Baker will do a fantastic job, and give it everything.
So why couldn’t they use ai … still use fords vocie smh
