In general I like it. I know people complain a lot about the publicity below but I really like the shortcut buttons at the mid top and the wall papers for game being played
This is a no gaming weekend for me as I am moving job and decided to meet a friend in Barcelona. But next week I will still be playing FF XIV and maybe dragons dogma 2 (not sure if I will return it until it gets patched properly)
I have preordered so did not pay full price tbf but I am way for the weekend and I will have to see some proper gameplay up to Monday to see if I return it or not (like I did with Jedi survivor) and buy a second hand copy down the line
Above all the Gears trilogy and Red Dead Redemption. Lost Odyssey and fable anniversary are still fine too but cannot say the same about fable 2 that has so much motion blur and bad frame rate that makes it almost unplayable
I tried for 10 min before work and the art style is beautiful but the gameplay is not much to my taste (lots of skill trees and gatgets though). I still feel if you start from zero and slowly integrated it can be fun. Not a day one for me but maybe down the line
Still going strong on Final Fantasy XIV beta, currently early on the Heavensward and finally got to a dungeon we as a group could not complete (the first extreme difficulty). I believe I have around 75h since the beta started lol. It should be the only thing I will be playing until Dragon's Dogma 2 but tented to buy Bolatro not gonna lie...
No 1 - Quick Resume. I got so used to it that whenever it does not work it really gets me off. No 2 - Game Pass. Love having easy access to games I would not cave for unless at a huge discount and day one access to lots of games I am looking for. In general I play at least one a month and another from my library. No 3 - Backwards Compatibility. As someone that never got a Xbox system before (and kind of been off from gaming for 10/15 years since the new milenium) I adore it. On a slight negative I don't like that some first parties ere coming without any physical version and japanese studios are still a hit or miss to release
Still going strong on the Final Fantasy XIV Beta where I just aquired the Enterprise. However as I finished this monthly club's game I need to find something short to put on its side before Dragon's Dogma 2 releases
Bloody fantastic! I cannot a remember a "direct" style presentation that I liked more in the last 7 years (not kidding). Apart from Chucky all looked good and even though I don't care about 2 or 3 that is do to the genre and not the quality of what they have shown
I don't buy many day one games (that are not Nintendo IP so don't really go down in price) but I have just now preorder this to have a 15% discount and let's hope I don't need to return it after reviews and YouTubers firs looks (like I had to do with Jedi survivor unfortunately)
@NintendoByNature I was waiting for a sale as I did not want to pay full price for the season pass as a digital purchase. However I was really looking forward to it as I was a bit disappointed with Noah character and going back to Rex is a big plus (but have to say all the main characters in Future Redeemed are top notch)
@NintendoByNature yah, it did not grab me unfortunately... I will give a change to this one but first need to finish Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed (was waiting for a sale) so I can put on the side of my newest addiction (FF XIV)
Well I have finish Persona 3 Reloaded and I have to say the last months were pretty much fast-forward and skip the dialogue. I did not find the story or characters better than P5R. Now I am playing Final Fantasy XIV after I gave up on it a couple of years ago on PC (I need to play on the couch nowadays). Also started Xenoblade Chronicles 3: Future Redeemed as I was waiting for either a physical copy or a sale as I found that nearly 30€ for the season pass way too much (also kind of pissed they would not sell each part separately)
A shame monster hunter stories is not coming. I really liked the second but never played this one. I bought the 3ds version last month or so and won't upgrade to switch but I would buy it on Xbox for the GS...
My number One is easily Avowed but I am also very interested in both Indy and Hellblade. The others are not for me but they do look like quality content too!!
@Friendly I know and it was where I have played it (on game pass although I also have the director's cut on EGS), but I am not a fan on gaming on my PC setting nowadays.
@RIghteousNixon it is correct to say that the whole community is going more digital every year and Xbox costumers are more than average. But it is on Microsoft to choose not to sell physical copies of their major games (like hellblade 2 for instance)
Since I bought the series x in 2021 I bought 63 Xbox one/series, 18 360 and 5 OG. It is a shame Xbox is looking like it is moving in the digital only direction
Very happy to not see hellblade in here as I am kind of thinking of playing it even though I cannot handle horror games (well I played Limbo and it was fine regarding scary stuff)
Ubisoft Open world games are bottom of the list of gaming for me. I tried just a few and got bored under 5h tops (well I finished gods and monsters on the game club but it was a real pain!)
I have waited a long while for a discount on Disco Elysium and now it has quite the sale finally, however just last weekend I found a physical copy online and I am now waiting for its arrival lol
I agree that Xbox should handle saves slightly different and should give you always the option to backup physically in the console. I did not yet play bg3 but I had an issue in the past with Life is strange true colours where when starting the dlc I got a phone call and had to go out in a rush. When coming back I was received with a message stating "you need to finish the main game before starting the dlc" which I obviously had (the 1000GS says anyways )... Could not turn it around so in the end I gave up and watch a playthrough on YouTube...
Not absolutely sure but between Xbox OG, 360 and One/series I bought probably 30+ games this year with most of them physical copies for the collection (just yesterday I bought 8/9 games).
I try to play at least one GP per month in addition with other one from other systems or backlog on xbox
Playing the Dark Arisen DLC of Dragon's Dogma to finish the game before the sequel releases. In general I like it but the lack o proper fast travel and that saving does nothing and you will loose a lot of progress whenever you load needs to be highly improved in the next rekease

Re: Former Xbox Exec Likes The Idea Of 'Tipping' Developers After Beating Their Games
If they lower the price by half I could be inclined to do it but bearing in mind games more often than not cost 80€...

In general I like it. I know people complain a lot about the publicity below but I really like the shortcut buttons at the mid top and the wall papers for game being played
Re: Talking Point: Which Xbox Games Have Left You Most Pleasantly Surprised?
Easily Gears of War! I never thought it would my thing but I ended playing the trilogy in two weeks straight
Re: Talking Point: Has Ray Tracing Been A 'Complete Waste Of Time' For Xbox Series X|S?
YES, as long as it comes with compromised frame rate I don't care about it. I did not try a quality mode in at least 2 years
Re: Xbox Users Are 'Gutted' About The Latest Microsoft Rewards Nerf
I guess I should not expect it to be expanded to more countries now lol

Re: Talking Point: Which Backwards Compatible Xbox Games Still Hold Up In 2024?
Above all the Gears trilogy and Red Dead Redemption. Lost Odyssey and fable anniversary are still fine too but cannot say the same about fable 2 that has so much motion blur and bad frame rate that makes it almost unplayable

Re: Ubisoft Unveils Extensive Roadmap For Prince Of Persia: The Lost Crown
I love the game but I am not much into DLC unless the dollar value is there. If they want 20$ for 2/3h tops I am out.

Still going strong on the Final Fantasy XIV Beta where I just aquired the Enterprise. However as I finished this monthly club's game I need to find something short to put on its side before Dragon's Dogma 2 releases
Re: Talking Point: After Two Shows, What Do You Think Of The 'Xbox Partner Preview' Format?
Love the format, specially the fact they keep extras like discussion with devs or more gameplay to other videos and because of it the pace is spot on.
Re: Poll: How Would You Grade March's Xbox Partner Preview Showcase?
Bloody fantastic! I cannot a remember a "direct" style presentation that I liked more in the last 7 years (not kidding). Apart from Chucky all looked good and even though I don't care about 2 or 3 that is do to the genre and not the quality of what they have shown

Good to know I am not the only one unable to preload it I guess

The game does not appear in the store for me. Does anyone know if this is only available in major regions?

Re: Roundup: All The Xbox Reveals From January 2024's State Of Play Event
Well death stranding 2 is probably the only game this generation that may well let to but a PS5... The first one is a masterpiece!

Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 27-28)
I am playing Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice and really digging it so far. Playing the Odin trials atm and happy that is not as scary I was expecting.
Re: Best Xbox Horror Games
@FraserG thanks for the note!
Re: Best Xbox Horror Games
Very happy to not see hellblade in here as I am kind of thinking of playing it even though I cannot handle horror games (well I played Limbo and it was fine regarding scary stuff)
Re: Poll: What Do You Think Of Palworld On Xbox Game Pass So Far?
Not my thing. I tried it for a bit today because of all the talk but ended up deleting it after half an hour
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 20-21)
Finished Disco Elysium this morning. I liked it but I don't love it (also very stingy with achievements). Now it is time to start Prince of Persia!
Re: Roundup: Here's What Was Revealed At The Xbox Developer Direct 2024
Just Wow. Fantastic show!
P.S: Indy probably 2025 but that is ok
Re: Review: Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown - A Fantastically Slick & Surprisingly Accessible Return For Action-Platforming Royalty
20% preorder bonus engaged! (Only after reviews off course)
Re: Poll: How Are You Getting On With Far Cry 6 On Xbox Game Pass?

Re: Happy New Year!
Happy new year everyone! It is with great joy that I come here everyday and to feel part of the community
Re: Talking Point: 10 Years Later, Would You Consider The Xbox One Era Officially Over?
Bearing in mind you can play all Microsoft released games up to this point on a Xbox One (although through the cloud) I say it lives on!!
Re: Bethesda Teases Six Major New Features Coming To Starfield In 2024
Can't wait to go back when the new stories unfold
Re: Xbox Notification Suggests GTA 5 Is Leaving Game Pass Very Soon
I can confirm I received this notification too (Portugal)
Re: Poll: Four Months Later, Are You Still Playing Starfield?
I did a full playthrough until credits but have not played since. Tbf that is how I played Skyrim too. I will come back for dlc, though.
Re: Soapbox: After The BG3 Saga, I'm Nervous About How Xbox Handles My Save Data
I agree that Xbox should handle saves slightly different and should give you always the option to backup physically in the console. Re: Poll: How Many Xbox Games Have You Actually Bought In 2023?
Not absolutely sure but between Xbox OG, 360 and One/series I bought probably 30+ games this year with most of them physical copies for the collection (just yesterday I bought 8/9 games).
I try to play at least one GP per month in addition with other one from other systems or backlog on xbox
Re: Poll: Three Years On, What Do You Think Of Quick Resume For Xbox Series X|S?
Literally the best new feature of this gen!
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (December 16-17)
Playing the Dark Arisen DLC of Dragon's Dogma to finish the game before the sequel releases. In general I like it but the lack o proper fast travel and that saving does nothing and you will loose a lot of progress whenever you load needs to be highly improved in the next rekease
Re: It Looks Like Xbox Has Another Exclusive Aiming For 2024 Release
@ValkyriaProfile it is not like we know much about the game lol. All we have seen is a cutscene...
Re: E3 Is Officially Dead, ESA Confirms In New Statement
Although not surprising it is a shame notheless. ESA has its problems but I really dislike Geoff's shows pacing.
Re: It's That Time Again! Your Xbox 'Year In Review' 2023 Is Now Available
Pretty busy year on Xbox (and PC with death stranding) however I believe perfect dark is not accurate as I feel it was at most a 20-30h playthrough.
Re: PSA: Baldur's Gate 3 Has A Worrying Issue With Corrupted Saves On Xbox
Good that I have waited but I have heard similar stories regarding Baldur's gate on other systems (at least on PC)
