Re: Xbox's Activision Blizzard Deal Could Be 'Harmful' To The Industry, Claims UK Regulator

stvevan

so FTC, CMA, EU all against, wonder what concessions MS will have to make.

regulators are behind the curve on big tech, but they are willing to go against them... EU and Apple chargers recently.

the CMA does actually do a decent job on large mergers, they have stepped in around mobile/supermarkets in recent years.

MS will have known it would be opposed. they will have prepared.

its all down to what the concessions are and if that leaves it viable

Re: Xbox Exclusive Starfield Is Apparently 'Playable In Full From Start To Finish'

@BAMozzy how come you highlight certain words in your replies that dont need one? just curious as when i read your posts they throw me.

anyway MS certainly do need to advertise Starfield massively, its going to be their system seller this year. they finished 3rd in most regions, and to push GP they need to sell more boxes.

Starfield/Redfall are likely to be vying against FF/Spiderman as console sellers, Sony will go hard now they have consoles available.

for whatever reasons MS doesnt advertise, yet they keep telling us in the know that GP is great.... so get out there and show it

Re: Xbox Surpasses 120M Monthly Active Users, As Game Pass Reaches 'New Highs'

stvevan

@Sifi i bet there is a huge number who stacked with the$1 deal.

once that loophole closes and people are paying $15+ monthly it makes people think harder. especially by that point you would imagine most would have played the backlog and be waiting for monthly adds.

RE Sony, they constantly have sales for plus, if they didnt offer deals take up would be way down. it doesnt offer day1 games. but has similar number of games.
