Re: Poll: How Would You Grade The Summer Game Fest 2022 Showcase?

Routine's comeback was a surprise ... so was Witchfire's.
Fort Solis seemed pretty intriguing.
Callisto Protocol's gameplay was brutal and awesome.
And MWII's visual was pretty jaw droppin'
Got to see Nightingale's gameplay as well.
Internet ruined the TLOU Remake surprise.

Overall : Not bad. Pretty good.
Don't know what colossal expectations people were having tbh

Yea the show was too long ... but the reveals were pretty good.
I dont know what massive expectations some people were having, but it was a micro-E3.
We got announcements and sneek-peaks from Arc Raiders, Star Wars Eclipse, Monolith's Wonder Woman, Aaryn Flynn's Nightingale, Alan Wake 2, Space Marine 2, Plague Tale Requiem, Suicide Squad, Slitterhead, Senua II, Horizon Forbidden West, Evil West and Sonic Frontiers.
And that's not including Steelrising and many more ...

I think MS is targeting Starfield, Redfall, Forza Moto & CrossFireX for 2022 along with GhostWire(MS internal but for PS/PC).
As well as Xbox will get Deathloop in 2022, too.
Avowed will just add to the clutter.
Whereas 2023 seems barren for the time being and Avowed is perfect to garner attention it deserves and not share spotlight with other MS First Party. Give it some room to breath.

  • And Stalker 2 is just timed launch exclusive for few months, not first party.

Re: Bethesda Is Still 'Absolutely' Focused On Making Single-Player Games

Even though I've been playing ES since Morrowind .... I've become even more a fan of the Bethesda's Fallout series. Went even as far as playing Fallout 76. That one pager outline for Fallout 5 is an exciting bit of teaser but alas, doesn't look like we'll be getting that before 2028~30, if ES6 is 2025~26.
Still wish they'd allow Obsidian to work on New Vegas 2 (after Outer Worlds 2) while they work on ES6.

Re: GTA's Remastered Trilogy Officially Arrives This November, Watch The Trailer

" ... using Unreal Engine to make these classics more vibrant and more immersive than ever "
Nah, Its still renderware.
That Unreal Engine rumor was misleading.
If they're doing it in UE, then it should be a Remake. But its just a remaster.
So ... Its using UE4 as a frontend for various UI elements for the trilogy's bundle/common launch menu.
Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remasters are being developed by Rockstar Dundee, which previously worked on the Halo: The Master Chief Collection under the name Ruffian Games.
The same devs used UE4 frontend for the MCC collection's UI and menus previously.
This remaster is not actually being made in Unreal Engine.
Its the same ol' GTA III,VC, SA code made using Renderware. Just spruced up a bit. Similar to Halo MCC.

Nope, that Unreal Engine part is kind of misleading.
If they're doing it in UE, then it'll be a Remake. But the leaked doc says remastered.
So ... I guess its using UE4 as a frontend for various UI elements for the trilogy's bundle/common launch menu.
Grand Theft Auto Trilogy remasters are being developed by Rockstar Dundee, which previously worked on the Halo: The Master Chief Collection under the name Ruffian Games.
The same devs used UE4 frontend for the MCC collection's UI and menus previously.
There even used to be a common UE4 error in Halo MCC for PC.
Hence, this remaster is not actually being made in Unreal Engine.
