id Software Advertising For Combat Designer With DOOM Knowledge

You might remember that back in November, various job listings on the id Software website hinted that the developer was working on a "long-running iconic action FPS", which many of us believed would either be DOOM or Quake.

Now, another new listing has hinted towards this even further, as id Software is looking for a Combat Designer who has "in-depth knowledge of recent id games, including DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal."

The job post doesn't mention an upcoming project, but rather states that the Combat Designer will be working on "future AAA first-person action games," so it's still to be determined what id Software is working on at the moment.

Whether it's DOOM, Quake or anything else, we're confident id Software will deliver the goods once again, and the best bit is that all future games by the studio will be releasing with Xbox Game Pass on day one. We're so spoiled!
