I don’t think the expansions will come down in price anytime soon because they are pretty essential for the new consoles.
My predictions will be that Cyberpunk will get a massive price drop to below the £20 mark, series s will gain more stock but series x will towards the end of the year, I think there will be some hint at a revision of the new consoles,

I’ll admit there are some really good games on GamePass like Gears of War Ultimate Edition, Forza Horizon 4, Dead Space and Master Chief Collection but most of the ones I’d play and enjoy I already own physically.

there are a few little gems though like Lonely Mountains and Streets of Rage 4, I only started to use gamepass because I had a 3 month code with my Xbox and it saved me some money on DLC

@KelticDevil it might just be me but I find that a lot of games from the N64 and PS1 are quite janky but a lot of them I really enjoyed but I couldn’t go back and play them now

I’ve been a massive fan of the Gears of war games since they originally released on 360 but I got a little worried when coalition took over. They did well with remastering/remaking the original but 4 killed it for me. I can understand they wanted to put their own spin and branch it away slightly to make it more inviting for new players but I just didn’t enjoy it and gears 5 is the same

Ubisoft has pretty much dominated the next gen window with all its releases but I’m not a huge fan of their games anymore, Watch Dogs left a bitter taste so if I play anything by them I tend to wait for the game to have been on shelves for a good few months first

@Gaming365247 I believe that’s only the 360 versions. The MCC should be still playable.

I’ve recently picked up DMC5 and Crash 4 so I’ve dabbled in them but for short bursts of entertainment I’ve gone back to THPS 1+2

Personally I think a complete remake like what we got with Spyro and Crash would be the best way forward, there are many people who have never played these before (me being one of them) might have a hard time with the dated visuals, I’ve heard nothing but good things about the game but after booting the first one up I found it quite hard to get into it purely on the visuals

I remember when I had my original PlayStation, opened every present in the morning and then realised there was another present hidden in the corner behind the tree, analog controller, Spyro 2 and Croc. never been so excited about a system since

I would like to see both Left 4 Dead on There as their pretty great but being as online services for 360 games is going away it might not do them justice.

@xMightyMatt14x can’t really go wrong with Lego games, personally my favourite one is Lego Indiana Jones 2

Best game for me is THPS 1+2. Personally Cyberpunk 2077 shouldn’t have made the list based on its awful release, yeah I know most of the bugs are probably fixed but I’m sure a lot of games that came out this year deserves to take its place just for being playable on release, Streets of Rage, Mafia Definitive Edition, Resident Evil 3, Little Hope and Crash Bandicoot 4 to name a few

To be honest it wouldn’t really matter if it was cancelled because most Halo fans would either have already upgraded to the new console or would rather wait until they picked up the new system first, then again most people I know who game on Xbox have turned to PC instead

My number one tip would be don’t play Cyberpunk 2077 yet.

@Tharsman I know, I found a message on my Xbox stating that something to do with 360 services being shut down, not sure if it’s just the online or if they’re gonna disappear from the store, Hope not as I still have a few 360 games I wanna get through including DLC

@Krzzystuff usually it’s only one or two pieces of DLC that you get included with gamepass. With Microsoft games like Gears of war you may get a little more but yeah it’s only usually the one

@ralphdibny I don’t know who they are either, the last time I watched wrestling was around the same time as you but it was very rare.

I think mine was down to a bad internet connection, terrible in the evenings

@ralphdibny I had the same issue but with the pack for forza. It wasn’t downloading but I assumed it was because my gamepass ultimate was a free trial but apparently not.

Some perks are okay but I wouldn’t really complain if it didn’t stick around because the ones related to games I play are only £1-£2 anyway.

The amount of units sold has got to be down to it being close to Christmas, also I’m hearing adds on the radio all the time claiming it to be the “must have game” so any person will hear it and assume that’s what their partner or child wants.
The game never interested me from the start so I never bothered picking it up but I’ve seen videos to know never pick it up unless it’s to be played on a decent PC

The state of the game as it is now should have been cancelled if they couldn’t make it work after all this time. This is why I no longer pre order/pre purchase anymore. Very rare I’ll pick any game or system at launch

Ah I quite enjoyed resistance so it will be good to see if it gets a surge in players

To be honest my dream wouldn’t involve playing Xbox but if I had to chose something involving the console it would probably be to see some PlayStation exclusives, Spider-Man, uncharted, Last of Us and so on

@CrazyJF yeah that’s true I guess. Maybe people should just be patient until there’s a full restock that way the scalpers would have wasted their own money and be lumbered with an abundance of consoles.

Just limit it to one per customer. Easier to track if you have to log in like amazon

It’s the people who are paying their asking price that’s causing the scalpers to continue, shops will get more stock and the prices will drop. If you pay for a scalped console then you’re just stupid

@Trmn8r movie tie in games usually turn out bad, movie sequels with many years between them also usually turn out bad so my guess is it will either be a re-skin of an NBA game or something unrelated to the Space Jam movies just to keep Looney Tunes relevant

Mine would be THPS because it’s just such a good game and lived up to the hype (not many games do that now) Resident Evil 3 was just an excellent game that came bundled with an enjoyable standalone multiplayer, that’s pretty much it for me as most games I played on the list were a bit of a letdown

@Olliemar28 nothing wrong with liking it, I played the original and loved it but I haven’t got around to the remake

I would love a reboot rather than a continuation because the original hasn’t really aged well

I’ll probably never pick up this game due to how unfinished it is and I’ll never support this ‘release it now fix it later’ mentality a lot of developers have used, I remember back on older systems where if a game released in the same state as this game it would be considered a terrible game

Good thing about this new system being released is I can continue through my backlog which is getting smaller all the time

Hopefully something good because this “next gen” release has been quite disappointing in my opinion

Alan Wake is my favourite game on any Xbox console. Quantum Break and Control would be up there but I find getting used to the controls a little awkward after a while of not playing them.

If people didn’t scalp the market then their prices would be more reasonable. It’s the people who are paying the ridiculous prices that’s causing the problem. I quite like CEX as I find their prices are quite reasonable for most things

Anyone complaining the games were rubbish, just remember they’re free. There were some poor games yes but I only downloaded games I know I’d enjoy.
Lego Indiana Jones was one of the best for me

There seems to be such a big deal with backwards compatible games that I’m thinking to get the best Xbox experience I’d best pick up an original Xbox and a 360

Reviews should stay but add restrictions like must have logged over an hour of playtime

I don’t think it’s anything special or hinting towards anything, however I would like a remake of Crash Bash

I picked up a standard 4TB Seagate HDD for about £70, don’t need a media remote and I already own a good pair of headphones (for audio and not chat) picked up a Series X/S controller a couple of months back as a second controller and already own a set of 2300mah rechargeable AA batteries so I’m kinda sorted

Having just picked up the Ultimate Edition on Amazon too, never mind it’s a great game anyway and I tend to buy the games I know I’ll really get into
