Making a big deal about being able to play all the games to currently play but still no exclusive games. It’s less of a next gen system and more of an update of current systems

@Bartig exactly I can see why they discontinued the One X, luckily I picked up a new one the end of April for £160

This video has helped me with my decision in sticking with my current Xbox. There’s not much difference to warrant me spending an excess of £500 to play the same games and have a lot less room in my media unit

Give it about 2 years and the design of it will be redundant, it’s clever and an interesting way to promote the system but the Xbox will get a redesign in about 2 years

I’ve just been finishing up on some collectibles in Mafia and continuing my story in Fallen Order. Have tried to enjoy Control but the way the map is only top down it is kinda difficult to navigate, especially with the map not loading properly half the time

I hate it. Sure the old one crashed all the time but the main reason I used it was to see what achievements I had left in some games and to see how my friends are coming along with their achievements

Can’t wait to finish the story for Gears 5. I hope they change the game icon too

I can understand that this is a big thing with this new Xbox but surely for it to work the game would have to be a digital download instead of physical, if that is the case then it would render it pretty useless for me as I don’t use gamepass and the only digital titles I own are ones that came with a physical game

@Krzzystuff I’m just surprised at how little space is on there. It’s the equivalent of the arcade 360. I haven’t really been following up on much info because I never go in on the first revision of a games console as I’ve had bad experiences in the past (especially with Xbox one) if I do get one it will be when they fix any issues from this one, plus I’ve only just recently picked up a new One X for a decent 150.

Wait, so the S is an all digital system but only has 512GB (well after OS and everything it’s more like 360 ish) so you’re gonna need to buy one of the expensive SSDs to install more than 5 games, not including day 1 updates

Well here’s to hoping that they re release the official media remote as I can only find the power A one and from experience I had issues with it,

I’d like to see more 360 games that I’ve not had the chance to play like Fable Anniversary, Alan Wake American Nightmare. The original trials game would be good too.

I think Murdered: Soul Suspect is pretty under rated because it’s got a pretty good story to it.
I thought Alan Wake was really under rated until Quantum Break, that was my favourite game on 360 and still is.

I’m having the same issue but with the Gears 5 icon. Why not just have the box art instead of an image of Dom and a green background.

@VenomousAlbino I think it would make more sense for them to release a remaster of those 2 games because 4 was more open world, I agree with you in getting to play horse online as it’s one of the only requirements left for me to get the amateur challenges done

@AJDarkstar it would need to run off the internal drive for it to be optimised but running from an external would be pretty much the same as they play now, from what I understand

Funnily enough I just finished gears ultimate edition this morning. Shame there was no ultimate edition of the 2nd as that is still my favourite

I wonder how many of these will “fall off the back of the lorry” considering how hard it is to get one

From what I read it’s pretty much the same as we get now. Every game now comes with a day one patch and more often than not it’s bigger than the actual game

Don’t need one as my new controller came in the post yesterday.

Only in the US? That’s fine as here in the uk we can pick up a new and sealed copy of Halo 5 for a mere £7.49

Hopefully it’s not another gimmick like the Kinect or VR headset, those things get dated so quickly

@Carck unfortunately it doesn’t, I wish it did as it would be a great second controller for arcade style games and much better for THPS

People listing Nintendo and PlayStation games when it says “worst Xbox games”

For me there is a few,
Watch Dogs when it released because it was riddled with bugs, not sure how it plays now though,
I’m not a fan of online games so for current games I’d say Call of Duty and Fortnite

Speeding my way through Mafia Definitive Edition for me

Personally I don’t like Bethesda games because they always seem unfinished or uninteresting, If Bethesda games were to be exclusive then I don’t think PlayStation gamers would be missing out on much and probably wouldn’t tempt them to join the Xbox community.
I think that the PS4 has a better selection of games than the Xbox anyway without Bethesda. As for the ps5 I’d pass on just purely on their controllers and how the system looks

What about Control: Ultimate Edition because technically that is a series X game

I’m a little gutted the “themes” don’t spread onto the Home Screen. Having the artwork from your currently playing game seems to slow the system down and using achievement art is a little hit or miss

I feel bad for people who shelled out for a controller that’s almost the same cost as the console only to have issues. I did debate on getting one but opted to pre order the new controller that comes with the Series X, glad I did because it’s now been shipped and should be here tomorrow

Thank Christ. Now I can read the titles of games instead of trying to read white on line green. Shame I can’t get rid of some useless apps such as one guide and events (beta)

Playing some Resi 3 to get the achievements for not using a recovery item and not using an item box, then I’m gonna check out the Man of Medan and Little Hope games and maybe pick them up ath the end of the month.

Also a little mess about on THPS to clean up some challenges

So many people chose Ryse and Dead Rising. Ryse I thought was utter rubbish and Dead Rising was okay but the colours are washed out like some original 360 games.

I thought Tomb Raider and Peggle 2 was a release title

Haha we use a Microsoft surface for work and it’s garbage. I bet they will be in the back constantly on charge

I don’t find it that difficult to require this. You still gotta hope the USB and HDMI to be the right way round.

Also why does the system need to be moved after it’s been set up? And surely if you’re moving it you’d take the cables too so you could just plug them in while looking at where their going

I was looking forward to this after fallen order but knowing it’s more online focused I’ll give it a miss as I’m not a lover of online based games

Are games that are already released for the series x going to be considered launch titles or is “pre launch” going to be a thing

@Menchi I picked up a SSD for my one x and to be fair the load times are a lot faster than using the built in HDD or external one. Cut my load times down by half on most games.

I’m not sure when I last played anything by Bethesda, probably Dishonored back when it released, I know I haven’t played anything on current gen systems because I would still own the disc

I preordered a black series x controller from amazon and I just had a message saying it’s just been dispatched 🤨

I wish companies would stop releasing stuff in “early access” and just finish it before releasing it publicly, all early access means is that they can release something broken before release but can’t complain, just like open public beta testing

I wish they’d update the current app because mine constantly crashes after a few minutes of use

I’ll stick with my 8tb external Seagate I’m using with my Xbox one when I eventually upgrade, no way am I paying that for only 1tb

“Blend in with the environment” if they blend in then the current consoles blend in too

I knew about the app because it was already installed when the Xbox one originally released, some games implemented it in some shape or form just like mixer, shame they don’t remove it after it’s been removed

Pay a high price for a first batch usually means you’re getting overcharged for a console that may have all the release day curses

The iconic colours of sonic is blue white and RED, being as this has no red I wouldn’t have made the link. I think it’s more inline with the red and blue ones we saw on Xbox one.

If Microsoft did acquire sega then it wouldn’t make much difference as their flagship character has more rubbish games than good

What’s with all the over priced controllers? I’d rather get a custom or an elite. At least you get change
