Following a very recent leak, developer GSC Game World has announced that STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy is coming to Xbox... today! Yep, a new console bundle containing the first three Stalker titles is coming to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on March 6.
Here's a quick introduction to the trilogy ahead of its imminent Xbox launch:
"The Legends of the Zone bundle – available on the Microsoft Store for $39.99 USD — includes all three iconic games that make up the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Trilogy: Shadow of Chernobyl, Clear Sky, and Call of Pripyat. – or you can pick up each of the games individually for $19.99 USD each.
Every element from the original games has been maintained and faithfully ported to console thanks to the hard work of GSC Game World and their partners at Mataboo. This all makes for a great opportunity for Xbox gamers everywhere to get some foundational knowledge of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.’s universe in the lead-up to the launch of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl, coming day one to Game Pass on September 5, 2024."
Interestingly, this initial release will be take shape as an Xbox One title - one that also runs on Xbox Series X|S via backwards compatibility of course. For now, Series X|S users will get "a high-fidelity mode" to enjoy, while a post-launch patch will "bring additional graphical enhancements and other features" later this year. Mod support is also coming at a later date, the team has announced.

As soon as it appears on the store I’m grabbing it.
As soon as I can buy this, I'm buying it!
@Ken_Kaniff did you want to tell me something?
@DoctorJohnDisco HA. Nice
really phil, you couldn't get this on gp?
@rustyduck It is weird that it's not on GP, they normally try to get the whole series.
It's not Xbox exclusive as its on the PlayStation network now as well.
Are these games good? Never played before the new one coming to gamepass looks pretty sick is it worth and a good Idea to play these 1st?
@cragis0001 Seen this now, amended! Ty.
@Decimateh @Weapon_Wheel Well said. I played them on PC 10+ years ago and it took me a bit to get the hang of them. But the atmosphere alone kept me coming back. It was intense and terrifying. I’m looking forward to playing them again since I no longer game on a PC.
@P3nguinprisM @weapon_wheel thanks for replying both of ya and sounds like worth ayong then might have to pick it up. Looking forward to the one coming to gamepass thought it looked pretty sick tbh
Yeses! I'm so buying this 🙂.
Shame it's not on game pass or I would have given it a go....I imagine these are dated and I heard they where pretty dated gameplay wise even when they where new?
Maybe if I can pick it up cheap I might
I didn't really enjoy my time with the first one on PC playing it for the first time a couple months ago. I would try it again on Xbox with a controller if it was on GP, but definitely not paying that much for them when they are on sale about every other week on steam/gog for $3-5
Wait?!?
It's not on Game Pass? You know...the supposed best thing going in gaming today.
All the people commenting saying it’s not on GP. It’s only £10 for each game and you can’t really expect every new release to be on the service day one.
I’m going to buy Shadow of Chornobyl and see what that’s like, if I like it and complete it then I’ll buy the others.

That'sright. Not everything has to be on GamePass for it to be the best thing going in gaming today....that'll only mean we'll be running short of superlatives to describe, GamePass😁
Anybody buying the games individually may want to do so now because it seems there is a price glitch, they are currently £9.99 but are supposed to be £15.99. PlayStation players have got an even better opportunity, the whole bundle is currently £15.99 as opposed to Xbox’s £33.50.
@GeminiReign my bad, i forgot we need 1k child cartoon games for one grown up game in gp(nintendo style)
I took a chance and purchased this earlier today. I tried one hour of each of the three games. I thought all three were horrible. Cannot see going back to them. It did remind me of Half-Life 2 a bit, which is a good thing. But, not enough to give it another go. Just my opinion.
On the xbox official site, it is said that they will release a patch for X|S Series version later this year.
@homme_parametre Shadow of Chornobyl is already optimised for Series X/S, it’s the other two that will be patched later in the year. Unless all three games will be patched as proper Series X/S versions and not running as backward compatible?
