The former YouTube Gaming lead has announced that he's joined Xbox as Vice President of Global Partnerships.
In a post on social media today, Leo Olebe shared his excitement about joining the team alongside the likes of Phil Spencer and Sarah Bond, which prompted the former to publicly welcome him to the company:
Prior to becoming Global Head of Gaming at YouTube, Olebe spent multiple years as a Senior Global Director of Games Partnerships at Facebook, and also played a key role in launching Star Wars: The Old Republic in 2011.
We wish Olebe all the best in his new job, which officially begins today!

Hopefully he can do a far better job than whoever was in charge of such negotiations going nowhere.

This is the first time I heard of YouTube Gaming... Just shows how far behind I am with the play here, there and everywhere, thing☺️
What is rôle will be for xbox exactly nothing is really explain to us.
Give him a couple million and make sure you fire more grunts to make sure he gets a nice paycheck.
Remember when MS ended Mixer and then said they were gonna partner with Facebook Gaming?
To little, to late I'm afraid. Like hiring a former PlayStation talent in Japan. Microsoft should have done this years ago.
As it won't be for Xbox hardware as it will probably gone by the time these deals see the benefits. So must be for its 3rd party push.
YouTube,eh? Let’s hope these “Global Partnerships” will not result in sometimes-skippable 5-second ads during Xbox gameplay…
