@Sifi Yeah that happened, and from what I read on release, they then reduced the amount of in-game credits you could win with races which further encourages the player to purchase these microtransactions.
I am quite hyped for it, but I'm not doing early access. I will how-ever be looking forward to the comments during that time. Who knows... It could create more hype or turn out to be over-hyped.
@hypnotoad I'm a big fan of the SHMUP genre too. Have you tried Crimson Clover on Switch? That's a good one. Also, there are some proper classics on Antstream Arcade.
I've been playing Exoprimal over the weekend, really enjoying it.
@johndoe89 I'm pretty old too. I was 6 years old when Space Invaders hit the arcades and my first computer was the Amstrad CPC464 (colour monitor).
I completely understand where you're coming from, I have a Mini Amiga 500 connected to a CRT TV just to keep it authentic, and they do still look great, even better looking than my gaming monitor, everything seems so much smoother and cleaner. I'm also sure... infact, I know there are ways of connecting the current gen consoles to CRT TV's, so that's also an option if you want to experience all the other games as they where originally played.
I've just had an email from Antstream, and they say that the NAMCO titles like Pacman and Galaga aren't available in the XBOX version and this is why they are missing... but hoping to bring them soon.
@MSX I never owned a Spectrum, but I always remember when playing on a friends, that the colours all blended and clashed into one another. Like... if your character was white and you walked in front of a red door, your character would turn red.
@Knightmere Same here, very addictive. How-ever, back in the day when I had an Amiga, I used to think my high-scores where unbeatable... now having them uploaded to the world, it turns out they weren't that great after all... LOL!!!
Aside from a couple of issues I'm having, I've had a great time with this over the weekend. Firstly, a few games aren't showing up like Pacman, Galaga etc. and the save feature isn't working. I emailed support and they were quick to let me know that they are aware of these issues and looking into it.
I was concerned about having to stream the games, but I've had no issues with connection lag or input lag what-so-ever.
I'm a big fan of top down, scrolling shooters and I've found quite a few gems... one is called Boogie Wings and is absolutely bonkers. Apparently they add new games every week, so I'm hoping to see more like this. So yeah, I've loved it so far...
I'm really looking forward to this, especially the Amiga collection. I'm quite excited about the Amiga games having the online leaderboards. As you can imagine back in the Amiga days, these games didn't have online capabilities, so it will be unique to see how my scores actually compare to the rest of the world... haha!
@niggyt2004 Haha, haven't played Manic Miner since my Amstrad days. I remember you had to have pixel perfect timing when jumping, was a simple but tough game.
@elpardo1984 Rather than it just being a platform to play these games, it appears there are other features like setting high scores and challenging your friends, leaderboards, community competitions etc. I'm quite excited by this kind of approach as you can only normally play these games by yourself or having a friend round.
@Amigator Was thinking the same, will deffo try the 12 month first. I'll be honest though, the nostalgia kicked in big time when I saw this post and I do have pretty much all the amiga games. I'm quite interested in how the online leaderboards will work which is something that didn't exist in the Amiga games.
Love a good Retro Release. I have most of the games on my Mini Amiga 500, but this is a great way for gamers to experience them at a great price. I'm very tempted how-ever to give this a try, especially with online highscores... would love to compare my R-Type high score with others, always thought I was pretty good at that game haha!
@Tarps Yes, me too. Vicarious Visions did a great job with that remake. It had a great skate park creator also, shame the community on the PS4 (when I last played it) didn't do much with it, so hopefully if it does come to GamePass, it might inject new life into it.
@gollumb82 Well I just did a random search on how long it takes and apparently if you focus on the Main story it can take upto 34 hours, but if you want to 100% complete, then you are looking at around 200-300 hours.

@Sifi Yeah that happened, and from what I read on release, they then reduced the amount of in-game credits you could win with races which further encourages the player to purchase these microtransactions.
Re: Talking Point: We're Officially Four Weeks Away From The Early Access Launch Of Starfield

They release a couple of new games every Tuesday and you can request games through their website here... https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScKLBqg1s4daGQz5hciOyOM6dwg4Sqq2rCaDDArCE3gRonfhg/viewform?usp=sf_link
They are very active on Discord too, always listening and responding to your ideas and bug reports. Great service so far.

Re: Phil Spencer Played A Huge Role In Bringing Antstream Arcade To Xbox
@Cashews Yeah, I'm a big fan of the SHMUP genre. I have found a few on Antstream, so hoping more will be added.
Re: Phil Spencer Played A Huge Role In Bringing Antstream Arcade To Xbox
@TojoDragon84 Yeah, the challenges and Tournaments definitely add that One More Go appeal to them, it's a lot of fun.
Re: Many More PS1 Games Are Coming To Antstream Arcade On Xbox
@MSX Yeah I'm familiar with that one, was just watching the video you posted. Funnily enough I did play this on the Amstrad.
Re: Phil Spencer Played A Huge Role In Bringing Antstream Arcade To Xbox
New interface, great! Glad to hear they are still looking to improve the service. I've had a lot of fun with this over the weekend.

@G13lx Yeah, I have a few games missing too. Is this an issue with the service or are they missing because they aren't available on the xbox version?

Re: These Six Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (July 19 - August 1)
@RingOfLite666 Each to their own I guess, but I've played a ton of indie games that I thought are better than AAA games.
Re: These Six Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (July 19 - August 1)
It's actually 1,406 games if you include Antstream Arcade on 21st July... Haha!
Re: Microsoft Confirms Xbox Live Gold Is Being Replaced This September

@NorthwestEagle I get a feeling you are just being negative for the fun of it.
Re: Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown Extended Gameplay Debuted Ahead Of Xbox Launch
@Bartig The gameplay is from the Alpha stage, so they have plenty of time to smooth things out. I'm quite excited about this.

Re: These 50+ Activision Blizzard Games Could Be Heading To Xbox Game Pass

Re: Elder Scrolls 6 'Projected Release Is 2026', Claims Microsoft Lawyer
@gollumb82 Well I just did a random search on how long it takes and apparently if you focus on the Main story it can take upto 34 hours, but if you want to 100% complete, then you are looking at around 200-300 hours.
