Antstream Arcade marked Xbox's "biggest content drop in history" this month when it brought over 1400 retro classics to the platform via cloud streaming. Even with such a huge catalogue hitting on one day, certain titles will naturally rise to the top, and the team behind the project has revealed the five most-played games from the Xbox launch weekend.
A few of these probably won't come as a huge surprise, but others have managed to make the top five despite being a bit more niche. Here's the list:
- Smash TV
- Mortal Kombat
- Double Dragon
- R-Type 2
- Bubble Bobble
Earlier this week, we found out that the head of Xbox himself had played an important role in bringing all of those old school classics to the platform - we wonder which of these Phil might have been playing?
Speaking of which, we ourselves put a fair few Antstream Arcade games through their paces earlier this month during our hands-on time with the collection, which you can read all about down below. Mortal Kombat managed to make its way onto our list of tested titles as well!
Have you been tempted to test out Anstream Arcade on Xbox? Let us know!

Can you play offline or does it always have to be connected to play??
You stream the games, so it's always connected.
It's just a shame this is streaming only. Not least the environmental impact of that is HUGE compared to playing older games like this locally.
Well...then I just gonna play MK on my old Sega MD2 without streaming .
Crazy that the Mortal Kombat Arcade Kollection isn't BC. Though at least for now Antstream Arcade's giving people a way to play them.
@themightyant Relax Nana, the earth will be fine🙄
