@ChrisMcC7 i've only recently started using the local Game which is now a concession inside sports direct in the uk.
I have a few pre orders there and honestly, feel like cancelling then, spending the credit I have on reward card and using Argos or Tesco in future.

When the news first broke that you could get an adaptor and a card a few weeks ago I started investigating and this story kicked that off again.
From what I can tell both times, at £30 for the adaptor, and managing find the exact spec and the physical size of card to fit in the adaptor, might as well just buy the official card.
Nearly I've done my maths wrong or wasn't looking at the correct shopping sites, but to me it really just is not worth it.
The new 512gb will be the option for me in a several months time, until then my 480gb SSD connected is working just fine

When the rest of the world seems to be all about about CoD, BF and FIFA every year, I always defend my franchises, and with money, support them, to the hilt, but this lack of OPTIONS eg 1080, 30fps, RT has really, REALLY, got my goat

What I can't understand is that with dynamic scaling can't they just let the frame rate drop to a minimum of 1080, maybe a maximum of 1800 (so there isn't that dramatical a changed between resolution), keep Ray tracing even at 60fps

I'm simplifying a lot, but would have imagined that Ray tracing was an on off switch? (I think pc games have that sort of thing) And wouldn't dynamic resolution be a Min Max slider anyway, one which the developer would have access to?

Happy to hear about the Outcast 2, loved the original, definitely remember the voxel graphics!
I think the original game was head of its time - wasn't it a big open world, lots of tasks and rescuing?

Loved the SW games, they were always so well balanced and we'll paced - that developer experience will go a long way in whatever genre they go to

Maybe 5 years since I've played this, but with so much there to play, it won't be a day one for me however once I see the reviews and see that it has properly been enhanced, I'll be tempted to pick it up in a few months

I just stick with two 2nd-hand SSDs from CEX, 240gb-ish, 1 for each next gen, works a treat.

It'll be interesting to compare to the ps5 tech demo, as that used the SSD to show of a high-speed flying sequence at the end, which the Xbox SSD couldn't (?) keep up with...
I like these tech demos though, I remember valve's source engine, and ue3 ones years ago

i'd leave the steam deck purely for steam game, not Xbox streaming, as isn't 720 a bit too low-res to be streaming games to? Could you read text in Xbox games?. A large 6.5" phone with £10 phone_controller-holder is probably perfectly functional for streaming.
I wonder is there a 1080 streaming device about 7.5 inch about, cheap, as an alternative?

Looking forward to a 4k HDR video turning up on YouTube. The ps5 tech demo impressed last year, (this one obviously different!)
