Don't get me wrong they look nice, as always fancy lighting can do wonders but it hard to ignore that Modders have done much better with much less resources.
Will use the gamepass release to test the gameplay "enhancements" to see of the bundle is worth grabbing
They look like Fortnite characters
Honestly, think they've done a good job at upping the quality of the assets while not destroying the art.
I'm quite impressed by this.
@LX_FENIX they don’t look that bad 😂 they look ‘different’ though for a GTA game that’s for sure.
You can only polish up an old turd so much.
I guess it’s one new game nearly every 10 years from them nowadays.
@LX_FENIX Yeah, I'm personally really excited but I understand this concern, my first reaction was that it looked very cartoony.
Still, I do think this is going to be really good.
@Dezzy70 this would be true if the originals were turds. They were not they were absolute gems which redefined gaming. This however... this is cash cow crap and nothing more.
Don't hate me, but I think this looks fine.
Pass. They look awful.
@MyThoughts31
I meant more from a today’s graphical stand point being old graphically as turds, not the game itself.
Yes a cash cow of remaster. They should try making a new game and use resources that way.
2021 definitely the year of the remaster.
Let hope 2022 improves.
I think it looks good for a remaster of a PS2 game..
“Gorgeous”?!?! Please tell me you’re being sarcastic.
@Richnj I'm with you on this. A decent graphical overhaul which retains the look of the originals. Perhaps not as big a leap as it could, but also not a a lazy cash grab.
@TimG13 Yeah, I can think of a few projects that either went too far, not far enough, or in a totally different direction, and I think these remasters look to be striking a reasonable balance.
Apart from a top/down remake like Final Fantasy 7, this looks to be a good update
Good for a remaster...I swear some people get confused between remake and remaster
Is there anybody with actual programming knowledge that could potentially explain why they have opted to use Unreal rather then RAGE for this? I have zero complaints. Im very happy with how this looking. Just seems a strange decision to pay Epic a small cut rather then to use their own in house engine. Unless Unreal is better at handling old Renderware files then their own engine. Color me impressed though. I cannot wait.
Looks good to me. Will probably be a day one buy for the trilogy. I wonder if game pass subscribers can get a discount since one game is included.
I'll wait for the sale, too pricey
This article really steps over the line. This website needs to objectively review these games in a few weeks...how can you declare them to be beautiful and gorgeous already? These screenshots were provided by the company, you can't assume they are final or accurate to every system. Please try to restrain yourself and at least project some semblance of objectivity. The gushing over these games here boarders on sponsored content.
