On XSX I’m playing Dreamlight Valley and Cult of the lamb. On PS5 Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands and F1 2022. But my go-to game right now is Splatoon 3 on Switch!

Update: last night I bought the AC Valhalla Dawn of Ragnarok expansion in the Ubisoft sale…I’ve been sucked right back into the game! Forgot how gorgeous the game is too.

I’ve been holding off on another play through for so long whilst I wait for this upgrade…don’t disappoint us (again) CDPR!

I’m not interested in CoD though I’ll definitely be playing GoW Ragnarok. We also have Gotham Knights in October which will hopefully be good. Plenty to keep me going until High on life comes out.

In energy saver mode does it still download updates? That’s probably my main reason for using “instant on”. I hate going to play a game only to find it needs a big update first.

On Series X I’m playing Cult of the lamb and Tinykin. Have been “playing” Immortality though tbh I think I’m getting bored with it, so unless something happens soon I’ll be throwing in the towel. On PS5 I’m playing F1 2022 and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands.

Definitely gonna give Dreamlight valley a go. Will wait for reviews for Steelrising. I already have Biomutant so will try out the free upgrade, though not sure it will be enough to pull me back into the game.

I never finished this so may give it another go once this update drops. Playing on Series X I’ll be opting for “quality unleashed” mode. Is it just a graphics update? No QoL improvements?

Played it for about half an hour. Not entirely sure what you’re meant to do or what the aim of the “game” is. Suffice to say it hasn’t really clicked with me yet but will definitely stick with it.

Had a quick go this morning and I liked it. Reminded me of Pikmin. Another great addition to GamePass 👍

Not normally my kind of “game”, but a 10/10 in Edge and now a 10/10 here, AND it’s on GamePass…be kinda rude not to give it a go!

@gollumb82 I played it on PS4 pro, and then PS5. It’s a stunning looking game for sure. For me the real enjoyment in the game comes from actually traversing the environment - mountains, across rivers etc. You have to manage your delivery load, and use tools like ladders, ropes and later zip lines. Yes you do have encounters with these things called “BTs” and the combat is ok, but making it from point A to point B is strangely very rewarding.

On GamePass I’m playing Watch Dogs 2, Two point Campus and Midnight fight express. Also playing Cult of the lamb. On PS5 I’m playing F1 2022.

So what resolution is the game now on Series X when playing in performance mode (60fps)?

After several patches and a price drop I may consider it.

Oh dear 😬 sounds like it hasn’t been optimised at all. Considering it had already been delayed what the hell have the devs been doing with the extra time?!? FYI Digital foundry have already put a video out addressing the game’s technical shortcomings on Xbox Series/PS5

@Cherip-the-Ripper Update: according to Opencritic the review embargo lifts today at 7AM PST, which (I think) is 3PM UK time, 4PM CET. Fingers crossed for some good reviews 🤞

@Cherip-the-Ripper I’ve heard the review embargo lifts tomorrow (Monday) but I don’t know what time. If it gets good reviews then I can download it overnight ready to play on Tuesday!

Really hope Saints row is good - I need a GTA style open world fix. Waiting for the reviews, but if it gets 75 or higher on Metacritic I’ll probably bite.

Can’t stop playing Cult of the lamb atm! Wish it was on GP so more people could enjoy it. Also playing Two point Campus and F1 2022. May give the new “Forgotten Saga” mode a go on AC Valhalla.

So it’s not true…but it just goes to show exactly what people think of Sony in thinking they (Sony) were completely capable of such a move.

The only people that lose here are the gamers, or “for the players” as Sony would self-righteously say 😡 The game is great, but a lot more people could have got to play it if it wasn’t for Sony’s underhand tactics. I was torn on whether to buy it on PS5 or Series X…so glad I chose Series X now.

There’s been some great indie games lately…Two Point Campus, Cult of the lamb, and now this! They’re certainly help pick up the slack left by a lot of the bigger names being delayed into 2023.

Where’s the option for “other”? Even though it’s barely been out a week I’m tempted to say Cult of the lamb which I currently can’t stop playing! Btw where’s your review?

Hades is excellent but I have it on Switch. Bit gutted Two point hospital is leaving but not surprised as Campus has just joined.

@PhhhCough I bought it on Xbox Series X in the end. It’s has a great gameplay loop, from going on runs (or “crusades” as they are called here) to managing your cult. Lots of things to unlock. It wasn’t even on my radar a week ago, now it’s my go-to game!

Shame, I had high hopes for this. Oh well, just gives me more time on Cult of the lamb!

I played it on PS5 and personally thought it was overrated. I mean it’s pretty good, just not great. Saying that if you’re playing on GamePass then there’s no reason not to give it a go.

I’m quite excited to play Cult of the lamb - have downloaded it but not started it yet. Also playing Two point Campus and Assassins creed odyssey. On PS5 I’m playing F1 2022.

A 10/10 from Edge is impressive, but this sort of “game” isn’t really my cup of tea.

Are they actually gonna make use of the next-gen hardware this time?

The hype/expectations for this game are going to be massive anyway, do they really need to increase it further, let alone put more pressure on themselves. 5-10 years ago I would have had complete faith in Rockstar on delivering, not so much nowadays.

It’s early days yet for PS+ but so far I’d say GP is still better. GP has the obvious advantage of a lot more day 1 releases, and also you get 2 lots of games dropping per month, whereas PS+ only seem to be releasing one lot per month which makes it a longer wait.

Any news yet on what time Two point campus unlocks? Hope us brits haven’t got to wait until the evening again 🙄

Loved this back in the day. Can’t say I’ve played it recently though. No remaster? How about a 60fps patch at least?

The whole game is more boring than FH4, and in fact 4 was worse than 3. For me FH3 was the peak. Yes 5 looks amazing, but you spend half your time in menus looking at what criteria you have to fulfill to earn this and that.

@Bmartin001 @BrilliantBill Wildlands is good, and a lot better than Break point. Just a shame it’s still (for now) 30fps 🙄

Two point Campus is the only one that interests me. GR Wildlands is good, though I have it on PS4. Mind you, if Ubisoft decided to give it a 60fps patch…

I’m gonna give Two point campus a go for sure. Still on the fence about the Saints row reboot, will see what the reviews say.

I waited and waited for the “enhanced edition” of Raji to hit consoles, only to find out it was leaving GP soon afterwards 🙄 So I ended up buying it in the PS store summer sale for about £7 instead.

I’ve really fallen out of love with Forza Horizon. I’m fed up with all these “missions” - I just wanna race! I did the first 3 races in the Hot Wheels expansion in the rookie category, but it won’t let me progress until I’ve fulfilled these other silly missions 🙄 I got bored with the base game pretty quickly and was hoping this expansion would drag me back in, alas it hasn’t.

Does it have NG+? Does that help in extending the lifespan of the game?

@Dusk_Actual This is what puts me off Disco Elysium. I’ve heard great things about the game, but am worried I won’t have the patience for all the dialogue. I’m hoping it will come to GP or PS+ extra!

I have to put some music on whilst I’m playing it otherwise I’d get bored pretty quickly

@raftos problem is the PlayStation version isn’t 60fps. So we have a choice of 60fps but sub 1080p graphics (and free!) or 1800p but only 30fps 🤔

So there’s no way to download it before release time (6pm for me)?
