Forza Motorsport is around two months out from launch, and so far, the team at Turn 10 has revealed just over half of the game's confirmed racing locations for October 10th. We can now add another track to that list though, thanks to a new gameplay clip posted by the Xbox developer.
Forza recently took to Twitter to post a short snippet of gameplay, featuring the Road America location. Road America featured in previous Forza Motorsport titles, so this is now confirmed to be one of the game's returning tracks.
According to the game's FAQ page, Forza Motorsport will feature 15 returning tracks and five brand new locations, although Road America isn't on there at the time of writing. We'd expect Turn 10 to add it soon, along with potentially confirming a few more launch tracks as we near its Xbox Game Pass release.
We're especially interested in those five "never-before-seen tracks" - hopefully the team unveils the full launch lineup in the coming weeks.
Do you dig some racing around Road America? Let us know what track you want revealed next!

The game has so few tracks compared to other racers. 20 locations for 6 years of development seems really low. It'll start to get old pretty fast, especially on the career mode as you keep racing on the same tracks. I'm sure they'll add more later on, but they probably will be paid DLC, unlike GT7 updates.
@Sifi I'd rather have unpaid DLC. I don't spend a cent in MTX anyway. It doesn't change the fact that the game has very few locations at launch, though.
@Gabrielmpf The first two DLC (plus other perks) will be included in the premium edition for $99. You could buy that or get the game on GP. Racking up MS Rewards points to cover the $35 premium upgrade takes 6 weeks, tops.
@theduckofdeath It's still paid DLC, which was my point initially. Look, I'm no fanboy, I have both XSX and PS5. Just saying that I prefer the GT7 model, which has free updates. I couldn't care less about MTX, which I think they overdid it, but that's optional.
On another note, I love GT7's handling with the gyroscope. I wish Xbox had a similar experience, like the Speed Wheel they had for the X360. Playing Forza 4 with that was awesome, since I couldn't get an expensive wheel.
20 tracks at launch is fine. It's a simulation game, so 20 fully realised real world circuits with all their layouts actually gives quite a large chunk of racing content.
As for Paid DLC, that is currently for cars only. Nowhere does it state that new tracks will be paid for (and what it would do to splinter the multiplayer, highly unlikely)
FM5 added free tracks after launch and I fully expect the new FM to do the same as well. Forza Motorsport & Horizon offer a huge amount through free updates. Not sure why people suddenly think that's going to change.
@Sifi it's the same kind of game as gt7 so both must be dull and dated then lol
@Gabrielmpf tracks should never be paid dlc if they are it's a joke and daylight robbery
@Gabrielmpf I'm not sure what the DLC will include — I can remember carpacks with other Forzas. I'm not sure how they handle new tracks.
I kind of gave up steering wheels a long time ago. I've amassed too much underutilized techno-junk over the years. I do have a fond memory of my dad seeing me play GT3 A-Spec with a wheel and asking to play. He got disoriented and fell out of the chair.
I prefer Forza Horizon but still looking forward to giving this a go and hoping it will look the business on Series X. Not long now.
@Gabrielmpf I agree. I’m worried the 20 locations will get tiresome very quickly. Even if they add in more tracks post-launch they probably won’t be in the career mode as the CM tracks are pretty much set in stone at launch, unless they do something similar to GT7 where they added extra “menus”.
Forza had some magnificent fantasy tracks in the past games. I would love to see them make a comeback.
To be honest .. I like the real life tracks very much and no self respecting racing game can do without them but .. if you have driven the RB ring , or Road America or any other track that is featured in almost every racing game , that track gets dull very quickly. Fantasy tracks are unique for a game (series) and most of the time they are pretty fun to drive.
Definitely one of my favourite tracks, but I wish they would focus more on the improvements to handling and physics more than things that we can safely assume will be in the game. I have the same issue with fighting games 'revealing' well known characters that we absolutely know will be there already.
I'm all for many tracks, more tracks and more variety is what keeps circuit games like this alive and interesting. It will be nice to see this track back and polished up.
Every bodies tastes are different of course, but I have a lot of fun with GT7, so if Motorsport can be as compelling as that title is for me, I'll be very content indeed.
Looking forward to this one...
For anyone interested, it's on CD keys 63 quid for the bells and whistles edition with the early access.
@Gabrielmpf I'm also pretty sure they used to use the trick of saying 40 tracks! But it would be 10 tracks with 4 variations. Nothing says awesome like going backwards or removing a turn from a track and calling it a "complete and different" track.
That is huge complaint from me. But other than that forza usually pretty solid racing game. Hope this one really wows and keeps me engaged for long time.
@theduckofdeath I bet that put some excitement in the morning school run.
A tweet with Road America, ok......
Honestly I doubt we see many good ones return.
If Maple Valley sure I like the track but it's not the same as the Alpine Raceway, Blue Mountains of FM1, the test track of FM2, or even FM3 & 4 the many variation ones and the Extreme Circuit.
Benesse Alps. The Cztech track is good fun. I assume fan favourites those? I don't know I don't follow the Forza Motorsport community just play them myself I know more what the GT community does and well while Sport/7 have the content and free updates (I don't like GT7's career mode at all and many cars/track layouts get used so laugh at that) I just play with the base tracks/cars in Forza Motorsport games anyway.
Or Fujimi Kaido we barely if ever see touge games anymore. It's what I wanted from Grid Legends and we didn't see it so Grid 2008 for that or Tokyo Extreme Racer Drift 1 & 2 then I guess.
Honestly while it takes time to model the tracks and cars for sure and changing the engine and so on to prepare and adapt to the current gen consoles.
I do find it a bit annoying still we see the same old licenses used sometimes tracks, cars (don't care for liveries so can't respond to that). Not because some or many aren't my favourites it's just I don't mind many of them are used in fun or exciting ways for modes/race events or I just hate the tracks so much. Some new can be good but eh many do feel a bit boring.
Honestly I can barely tell what is 'original' and what isn't in Forza Motorsport games. I get some city tracks are but for circuits I can't tell literally.
Besides the online requirement and basic understanding of the career mode which isn't enough yet I am not sure. I'm still not sure about this game yet I'm still only excited for the position on the grid feature and that's it nothing else screams to me as compelling. Graphics/physics and such I already know they do a fair to amazing job on (depends on the cars, track details or the sounds and such from game to game some are better than others for quality). Which I don't question as I don't really care most of it blends well and I don't notice compared to most others, so I do the other details.
Track count may be limited, but at least there will be 500 cars at launch.
Happy for that, as the covert-art Corvette and Cadillac don't do anything for me.
