Yet you don't include the ACTUAL best TV and go with the CX meme (don't get me wrong, it is the 2nd best TV and is better value than the best TV which is 3x the price nearly).
Having said that I bought a 65" CX yesterday as it was €600 off because Ireland started black friday deals already since we're in full lockdown till december. It will be my secondary TV replacing my old panasonic plasma in a less used room, because I wouldn't waste my primary viewing experience on 2nd place just because it's a cheaper.
Voted AC2, while it's a better game than AC1, Altair is such a better character than Ezio. I quit the series during Brotherhood though, so there's that too.
@NEStalgia I'll stick to VGTech or Candyland. They do the same quality work when it comes to resolution and framerate as DF, and you don't get saddled with their trash tier opinions.
@NEStalgia I've just seen various clips but can never find the actual source video. But they do have fps counters and graphs. The problem seems to be both have drops, but xbox drops harder and lower in both fps and res. And tears more. Some places where xbox drops, PS5 stays at 60 doing a higher average res too.
Anyone seen the comparisons yet? Looking bad for series X. PS5 keeps an average higher frame rate, xbox has tearing, both platforms dynamic 4k but PS5 keeps a higher average resolution.
Which is why he wants "xbox" to count as everyone playing their games on PC, Nintendo and Sony. So when they stop making hardware, they can still say they're "Xbox".
I'm torn on this. As it doesn't really have much effect on me as I play their games better than their consoles can since they come to PC, but not having competition around for Sony would hurt the industry in the long run. Just like how Microsoft got roflstomped this gen and came up with all types of gimmicks to try gain headway. Sony as the significant leader, did basically nothing other than the minimum.
Can't wait. It's actually getting remastered graphics, textures and effects too on PC, unlike the current MCC version which was just resolution and fps increases.
Edit: Forgot there was a new Xbox coming out, I imagine MCC on new Xbox should also get the remastered version of 4, rather than resolution/fps
@BAMozzy Would love full remakes or quality remasters up to the level of Gears 5. Not like Ultimate edition, which felt crap. It was all loose and floaty with the aiming. On both console and with high PC fps.
The original PC port is still the best way to experience Gears 1 imo.
I expected this when Sony detailed their BC as just "running in PS4 mode" on an SSD. Compared to Microsoft actually building a system wide base for things like BC, auto HDR, etc
@Cyrus29 I'm actually replaying through Gears again myself too. Did 1 and 2 over the last week, and now half way through 3. Will move onto 4 on PC next but waiting to finish my new PC to redo 5 with the new engine improvements and campaign DLC.
@Cyrus29 Right, my comments are not on the final quality of the game improvements. More so Microsoft and the fanboys getting slapped hard by reality. World's most powerful console means basically nothing important from everything shown. Still getting 30fps games. Finally getting 60fps but with frame rate issues. Dynamic resolution. It's the same thing all over again.
Full RDNA2 bragging rights the fanboys throw around clearly mean NOTHING. XSX is around the power of an RTX2080 or Super, yet even the bottom tier RDNA2 PC GPU is significatly better than that. Even the lowest model, the RX6800 turns in 70fps in campaign at native 4k with Insane settings (higher than ultra). You know why they're bragging about RDNA2 and not games? Because they can't.
And just like PS4 Pro vs Xbox One X, Sony's studios are making much better looking games with lower powered hardware, and in this next gen case "without full RDNA2!". What does that say about Xbox and their studios?
It all stems from terrible marketing. It's the X1X all over again. Sony isn't immune either but they'ce covered themselves better. They never made broad promises like full 4k everything! 60fps and 120fps everything! Raytraced everything! They left it to the devs to promise what their games will deliver. But like I said, not immune especially after Demons Souls was announced with raytracing and a few days ago the creative director said no raytracing.
It's all about (in this case) overpromising and underdelivering.
@NEStalgia I bought Wolfenstein 2 on PC physical here in Ireland on launch day, simply because it was somehow opposite day and it was being sold physical for less than half price. Was cheaper than even any keysites, reputable or otherwise on day 1.
Just stick with the legit sites and there shouldn't be issues.
@blinx01 Then maybe Microsoft shoulda advertised it accurately instead of overpromising and underdelivering.
Fire Greenberg for the 82673629th mistake I suppose.
Seems the xbox is just a cut down RX6800 (not even XT), which makes it look even worse since it's the brand new RDNA2 stuff out this month.
I don't disagree that it's a fine cheap entry point for people, but it's still a disappointment after the last year of marketing. I am satisfied to see reality hit the twitter/youtube fanboys though.
@NEStalgia The point is on PC games are usually cheaper by default due to no licensing fee and there are 3rd party key sellers making game codes significantly cheaper day 0.
@blinx01 Ultra is not max on PC and the other engine enhancements are coming to PC. I expect better from "the world's most powerful console" on a previous gen game. But I'm not surprised considering what a disappointment both consoles have demonstrated.
Very disappointed with the result after hearing the analysis. But it's to be expected from next gen, disappointment after disappointment, overpromise and underdeliver.
Dynamic 4k as low as 1080p, frame drops and while below max setting.
Oh well, I'll replay it on PC yet again with the upcoming XSX engine improvements also coming to PC, without sacrificing resolution, framerate or quality. And naturally keeping the inferior T2 VRS off too.
I'd rather pay €70 for a game to own forever than even €1 for a month of gamepass. But I primarily game on PC, so I don't have to worry about "full" prices unless I want to.
@eduscxbox Think of it though, if dynamic resolution means changing in quality of resolution, as does dynamic textures with texture quality, why wouldn't dynamic "visuals" scale various visual settings up and down as required by load? Many PS4 Pro, Xbox One X and PC games do this as it is (granted on PC you have to manually opt to do this) and it's usually referred to as dynamic visuals.
@eduscxbox Dynamic visuals has historically meant dynamically scaled based on load of cpu/gpu. In danger of dropping frames? Shadow quality, texture quality, etc drops.
Must be poor wording on Epic's part if that's not what it is.
I picked the silent hill collection. Granted the HD collection are terrible ports but the overall original quality of the games is the star of the show.
@blinx01 Microsoft design the box layouts in relation to where series X, Xbox One, etc are laid out and decided not to mandate smart delivery. But the former is more important in this case.
@NEStalgia I count Xbox One close enough the same to gamepass. It was a bandaid fix on the disaster that was the entire generation as they tried throw everything at the wall and see what sticks.
I hate gamepass. It has turned microsoft into a company that just pumps out mediocre at best games over and over aa quickly as possible to get as many things on gamepass. Quantity over quality. Make better games? Nah just get some 3rd parties to put their big games on instead.
I'm just happy game design is moving forward, my SSDs won't be held back by consoles anymore. New PC is already getting loaded up with 2 drives faster than PS5 (and 3 times faster than XSX).

@mousieone And Steam?

An impossibility for it to be best.

No, I cancelled mine (and PS5) 2 months ago when there were no games for me on it.
Re: Phil Spencer: Xbox One Launch Failures Could Have Finished Xbox
It won't be so quick this time, but in 5 years Xbox won't be making hardware for the next gen.

Re: Gearbox's Godfall Will Be A PS5 Exclusive For At Least Six Months
@Liam_Doolan I guess I'm just old fashioned when it comes to the word. Especially with how muddy it has become.
Console exclusive (but also on PC)
Console launch exclusive (but also on PC, timed for everything else)
Timed exclusive
There are more but it just gets exhausting.
Re: Gearbox's Godfall Will Be A PS5 Exclusive For At Least Six Months
@Liam_Doolan Still on PC and PS5 day 1.
Re: Gearbox's Godfall Will Be A PS5 Exclusive For At Least Six Months
It's not even exclusive, it's on PC same day as PS5
