@Krzzystuff Nothing will happen with Halo, it's going to continue as usual. Free to play wipl not be free to play on Xbox, only everywhere else. All the Halo marketing already says "gold required for xbox console online play". It's in the trailer, the Microsoft store page and Steam page.

Been replaying this on my new PC the last week or so. An average game but possibly the best showcase for raytraced reflections. 1440p completely maxed out 90-120fps.

@LtSarge Microsoft are who started the word exclusive getting used incorrectly and thrown around and dilluted to call non exclusive multiplats, "exclusive" so it's only fitting they continue to misuse it in 2021 and this gen.

@NEStalgia It was a general hardware comment about the woefully outdated hardware even in 2013. Which fits because they're using a hard drive speed from the 80s too. 5400rpm drives are a bad time, SATA2/3 or not.

We all knew it was gonna happen. Jaguar was woefully outdated in 2013 and unsuitable for any type of gaming. GCN just sucks overall. Not to mention a hard drive.

@Reverandjames You should still be able to redownload it if you have the same account. But it has to be on 360/PS3. Not Xbox One.

@Gaming365247 "Xbox console exclusive" means nothing. Fake term created for marketing. It'll likely be a non exclusive multiplatform game with PC (and I expect PS5 too).

It'll be on PC day one as well, so not exclusive at all.

@kingv84 Could be like the other worlds, where the deals were made before the buyout so will be honoured. Otherwise it'll just be a non exclusive multiplatform game on Xbox and PC.

It'll definitely be a multiplat (Xbox and PC) but would not surprise me if it went to PS5 after a year. But at the same time, I actually don't believe Microsoft would have the guts to keep it off PS5.

That's why games that don't look as simple as Super Meat Boy are already having to run as low as 900p on it. Yakuza 7, a demanding engine that can look great.

Citing 1440p 60fps when you're running a game like this means nothing.

New monitors are my big hope from CES this year. The 32" 4k 144hz HDR1400 Gsync Ultimate ASUS ROG monitor from last year seems to be in delay hell. So I'm hoping it or a new model to go with my new RTX3090, which can push that framerate, res and settings.

We call those people the corporate slaves. Just like the guy on NintendoLife who was supporting the idea of games being lost forever and no one being able to play them just they aren't released on a home console.

They're trying to hook you in for the inevitable milking. Someone here even said they'd be ok with a price increase. Microsoft have trained him well.

Glad they moved to Steam, that's where I've bought Gears 5, Tactics, MCC, AoE 1/2, Ori and Flight Sim. Microsoft realised going multiplat with PC was the way to go 6 years ago when their console was unrecoverable. Now they have a back up if (when) the Series mess consoles come in last.

Will never support gamepass.

I don't want anything hampering my direct inputs. "Muh immersion tho!" means nothing if I have to choose between that and extra delay on my inputs as the joypad fights back.

Gonna enjoy this on Steam with my 3090. I got it before the price hike.

I'd prefer it being new 1st party games that are good for a change. Much more important than Gamepass additions which aren't automatically implied as new 1st party games.

Remember, in engine is NOT in game and will likely look better than the final product. Remember the original Halo Infinite in engine announcement? So this non exclusive multiplat is still hidden in smoke and mirrors.

Will be buying on Steam of course, as PC is the best place to play games with making compromises, as I loved the previous entry. Jank and all.

@JayJ In 2023 I'd rather be limited by 2018 hardware design than 2012 hardware design.

It's the nature of factoring in consoles sadly. It's a "best of the worst" situation.

I love the series, 1 and 2 especially. 3 was ok but 4 was so bad it turned me off the future of the series to a hardcore "wait and see".

14/20, surprised I got that high with so many no name indie games

@XBontendo Big ups for mentioning the Shadow Hearts series. Wish we had a remaster of them. It might even entice me to stomach the 3rd game following the 2 prior amazing games.

Only counting Microsoft developed games since there is nothing to play on Xbox for me. 3rd party games (and all Microsoft games) play best on PC after all.

6 games. Halo CE/2/3/ODST/4 and Gears Tactics, all when launched on PC.

As much as I wish it were true, just cancelling the game wouldn't be enough. It'd need another delay to entirely rewrite the game design that factored in the original hardware. Not just turn sliders up.

Gonna build my new PC on christmas day and fire this bad boy up. 5900X, RTX3090, and SSDs faster than PS5, destroying everything I want. Was waiting on the VR patch, so now I'll buy it as I'll never support gamepass.

Something to play while there are no games I suppose.

@BAMozzy CDPR announced on the Cyberpunk twitter that they decided in discussions with Sony to have it taken down. Nothing to do with Sony going into business for themselves.

@Lionyone Impossible. Already exists and is available on PS4 in physical form. And PC. Game is not exclusive in any way.
