Re: Talking Point: What Are Your Plans For The Xbox Games Showcase 2024?

FraserG

@Foxx_64740 Yeah, I've seen it - who knows what's going on there, but Tom's usually very reliable when it comes to stuff like this.

He's not the kind of person who's just going to make something up for internet clout, but at the same time a lot of his report was purposely very vague - he only said it was being "considered" for PS5 so I don't think anyone should take that as 100% fact.

It could be a long time before we find out what's going on with this Halo remaster anyway...

Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Launching Day One On Xbox Game Pass

FraserG

@Foxx_64740 I wouldn't call them "malicious lies", at least not the ones I came across. Depends who you listen to though (some people on social media just say things to attract attention!).

The main rumours I saw suggested that Microsoft was considering what to do with COD on Game Pass - whether that meant avoiding Game Pass entirely, changing the price / adding a new tier, or simply keeping things the same.

Re: Microsoft Rewards & Xbox: How To Make 10,000 Points Per-Month

FraserG

This guide has been heavily updated to account for all the Microsoft Rewards changes over the past year.

I've kept the old sections in here anyway as you never know when certain things might begin working again... it's always worth keeping an eye out.

If I've missed any new additions to Microsoft Rewards, let me know and the guide will be updated again!

Re: Microsoft Announces Dates For The Final Two Xbox 360 Store Sales

FraserG

@Banjo- @ATaco The focus in these last 3 Xbox 360 Store sales is to include games that aren't backwards compatible, so I wouldn't expect to see many BC titles at all.

There used to be a time when a lot of BC games could only be bought on the 360 store for some reason, but that eventually changed and Microsoft started adding them all to the modern store.

In terms of guides, we can definitely look at doing more features for the best backwards compatible games - we did also used to provide weekly BC sales roundups for years, but we tend to limit them to the big sales these days because 1) Microsoft made it harder for us to figure out what's on sale week-to-week, and 2) we didn't see much demand in doing weekly roundups for backwards compatible titles.

Re: Xbox Begins Discounting Lots Of 360 Games Ahead Of July Store Closure

FraserG

@RunGMhx Spec Ops: The Line will remain available post-shutdown as it's a backwards compatible game. All backwards compatible games that work on XB1/Series X/Series S will still be purchasable in the modern Xbox Store after July.

@Arcticpandapopz Yes, this sale is live in the UK right now as well.

@Banjo- As far as I know there are zero games in this list that are backwards compatible. There are, however, plenty of titles that have modern versions for the newer consoles (such as Far Cry 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, for example).
