@BBB You're welcome, we'll have a full summary of all the announcements immediately following the event (well, maybe not immediately... but very shortly after it!).
@Foxx_64740 Yeah, I've seen it - who knows what's going on there, but Tom's usually very reliable when it comes to stuff like this.
He's not the kind of person who's just going to make something up for internet clout, but at the same time a lot of his report was purposely very vague - he only said it was being "considered" for PS5 so I don't think anyone should take that as 100% fact.
It could be a long time before we find out what's going on with this Halo remaster anyway...
@LaurenceJ1987 Yeah, it'll be watchable on demand. We'll have a recap on Pure Xbox of everything that was revealed as well (all the Xbox-related stuff at least).
@Foxx_64740 I wouldn't call them "malicious lies", at least not the ones I came across. Depends who you listen to though (some people on social media just say things to attract attention!).
The main rumours I saw suggested that Microsoft was considering what to do with COD on Game Pass - whether that meant avoiding Game Pass entirely, changing the price / adding a new tier, or simply keeping things the same.
@Feffster Yeah, I think it's still a good program for sure. Hard not to feel aggrieved when it used to be twice as good, but ultimately it's a free service that continues to provide decent rewards.
@Banjo- You'd think so, but because she didn't specifically name-drop Call of Duty, and there have been suggestions in the past that COD might be "restricted" on XGP, it's a safer option for us to reference WSJ's report when they're making a definitive statement.
@Banjo- The thing is, if we said "according to Microsoft", we'd be accused of lying because MS hasn't specifically confirmed COD 2024 for Game Pass yet.
@Banjo- Nah, Games with Gold used to get 10x as many views as the backwards compatible articles did. The only time the BC articles get much traction is during big sales like the Spring Sale, the Ultimate Game Sale, etc.
@Banjo- @ATaco The focus in these last 3 Xbox 360 Store sales is to include games that aren't backwards compatible, so I wouldn't expect to see many BC titles at all.
There used to be a time when a lot of BC games could only be bought on the 360 store for some reason, but that eventually changed and Microsoft started adding them all to the modern store.
In terms of guides, we can definitely look at doing more features for the best backwards compatible games - we did also used to provide weekly BC sales roundups for years, but we tend to limit them to the big sales these days because 1) Microsoft made it harder for us to figure out what's on sale week-to-week, and 2) we didn't see much demand in doing weekly roundups for backwards compatible titles.
@richyroo Not actually sure yet... for some reason the Xbox version releases one day later than everything else, so we should know for sure on Wednesday.
@RunGMhx Spec Ops: The Line will remain available post-shutdown as it's a backwards compatible game. All backwards compatible games that work on XB1/Series X/Series S will still be purchasable in the modern Xbox Store after July.
@Arcticpandapopz Yes, this sale is live in the UK right now as well.
@Banjo- As far as I know there are zero games in this list that are backwards compatible. There are, however, plenty of titles that have modern versions for the newer consoles (such as Far Cry 4 and Rise of the Tomb Raider, for example).

Re: UFL Open Beta Review (Xbox): A Surprisingly Fun Football Game With A Lot Of Potential
@PsBoxSwitchOwner There isn't any yet (everything's free and very plentiful in the beta), so not sure how that's going to work.

@OldGamer999 Appreciate it! A busy but very exciting weekend ahead

Not this week 😅

Re: Here Are All The Biggest Xbox Reveals From The Guerrilla Collective 2024 Showcase
@OldGamer999 Here's a bit from the PR we received:
"Yooka-Laylee is back in a new and improved version, Yooka-Replaylee, coming to PC and consoles."
Re: Free Play Days: Try These Xbox Games For Free (June 6-9)
@AccessibleDaydream Impossible to say. NBA 2K24 is on there right now but PGA 2K23 has never been, for example.
2K never keeps their titles on GP for long, either. Normally 6 months.
Re: These Four Games Are Coming To Xbox Game Pass (June 12-18)
@Lucylu1983 That big gap between June 6-12 suggests that something is happening on Sunday 👀
Re: Here's The Complete List Of Xbox 360 Exclusives Disappearing This July
@EVIL-C Well that's annoying. Thanks for bringing it up - I've added it to the list and hopefully we're not missing anything else.
Re: Here's The Complete List Of Xbox 360 Exclusives Disappearing This July
@Senjutsu77 They'll remain playable (and re-downloadable) after the store closes in July, yeah.
Re: Xbox Games Showcase 2024: Date, Start Times, Rumours, Leaks & More
@Kloppo You'll be able to find a link ahead of time by going to the official Xbox YouTube channel, hitting the "Live" button and sorting by "Latest".

It's not there yet, but it will be before Sunday.
Re: Our Predictions For The 2024 Xbox Games Showcase
I'm adding an 11th pick!
Square Enix will announce Final Fantasy 7 Remake for Xbox 😉

@Banjo- The feeling is mutual 😅
Re: Xbox Games Showcase 2024: Date, Start Times, Rumours, Leaks & More
@Banjo- I really hope Banjo shows up this year

Re: Roundup: All The Xbox Reveals From May 2024's State Of Play Event
@Lup Stay tuned, not sure on that one yet.
Update: It's now been confirmed as coming to Xbox Series X and S.
Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Launching Day One On Xbox Game Pass
@Decimateh The last announcement went up to June 4th, so it'll most likely be next Tuesday.
Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Launching Day One On Xbox Game Pass
Article has been updated with the following confirmation:
"We’re excited to confirm that Game Pass members will be able to jump into Call of Duty®: Black Ops 6 on day one with Game Pass."
No sign of a price increase / new Game Pass tier for now.
Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Launching Day One On Xbox Game Pass
@Banjo- Lies are out there for sure, but I think there are definitely trusted names that get things right more often than not.
The likes of The Verge, Windows Central, etc are genuinely very good at this kind of thing.

@Ep_13 Does it not appear for you in the article above?
Re: Two New Additions Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (May 28)
@Widey85 Ooh, that sounds like a fun plan for this evening! Will give it a try
Re: Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Is Launching Day One On Xbox Game Pass
@Dimey Not formally. As in, until today, they haven't specifically mentioned that the new Call of Duty is coming to Game Pass.
Re: Microsoft Rewards & Xbox: How To Make 10,000 Points Per-Month
@Feffster Yeah, I think it's still a good program for sure. Hard not to feel aggrieved when it used to be twice as good, but ultimately it's a free service that continues to provide decent rewards.
Re: Microsoft Rewards & Xbox: How To Make 10,000 Points Per-Month
This guide has been heavily updated to account for all the Microsoft Rewards changes over the past year.
I've kept the old sections in here anyway as you never know when certain things might begin working again... it's always worth keeping an eye out.
If I've missed any new additions to Microsoft Rewards, let me know and the guide will be updated again!
Re: All Xbox Games With Mouse & Keyboard Support
List has been updated with some of the latest mentions. Thanks as always for helping to keep this updated!
Re: Eight PS1 Games Are Now Playable With Antstream Arcade On Xbox
@K1LLEGAL Yeah, definitely PS1.
Re: Hellblade 2: Release Date, Release Times & Preload Details On Xbox Game Pass
@PsBoxSwitchOwner 9am BST on Tuesday (we'll have a review to share here at Pure Xbox).
Re: GameSir Unveils 'Groundbreaking' New Xbox Cloud Gaming Controller
@Scenes I couldn't say, but yeah... all the press materials we've received for this specifically mention Android.

It's a no-win situation
Re: F1 Manager 2024 Returns For A Third Outing On Xbox This Summer
I think this looks really good so far, and £29.99 is very reasonable. Didn't play much of 2023, but I'll probably be adding this one to the wishlist.
Re: Microsoft Announces Dates For The Final Two Xbox 360 Store Sales
@MysticWangForce If you can buy it on the Xbox One, Series X or Series S store, it won't be affected (so it won't disappear after July).
Crimson Skies will still be there
Re: Microsoft Announces Dates For The Final Two Xbox 360 Store Sales

Re: Review: Braid, Anniversary Edition (Xbox) - XBLA And Indie History Remastered
@DoomGuy_117 Price is set at $19.99.
@richyroo Not actually sure yet... for some reason the Xbox version releases one day later than everything else, so we should know for sure on Wednesday.
Re: Xbox Begins Discounting Lots Of 360 Games Ahead Of July Store Closure
@RunGMhx Ah, I'd forgotten about that! My bad.
Re: Xbox Begins Discounting Lots Of 360 Games Ahead Of July Store Closure
@Arcticpandapopz Sadly we can't track Xbox 360 marketplace deals very well so your guess is as good as ours!
