We're almost a year into the existence of Antstream Arcade on Xbox, with the cloud streaming service bringing well over 1000 retro games to Xbox consoles during that time - and that includes eight games from the PS1 so far.
Yes, although we only started with two, we've now got eight! This includes some classics such as the original Worms, puzzle-platformer Glover and tactical warfare game Hogs of War, along with plenty of other intriguing PS1 titles.
Here's the full list of PS1 games on Antstream Arcade for Xbox so far:
- 40 Winks
- Glover
- Hogs of War
- Legend
- Loaded
- Re-Loaded
- Streak Hoverboard Racing
- Worms
Of course, there's a lot more to discover beyond these eight PlayStation 1 games, including a bunch of Bandai Namco classics that were added back in December, as well as other favourites such as Double Dragon, R-Type 2, Bubble Bobble and much more.
If you're interested, a year's subscription to Antstream Arcade is currently priced at £29.99 / $29.99 on the Xbox Store, or alternatively you can pick up a lifetime subscription for £79.99 / $79.99. We've had a fun time with it so far!

Is Glover definitely the PS1 version? The N64 version just got added to Evercade.
@K1LLEGAL Yeah, definitely PS1.
@FraserG thanks man, genuinely love that game but will wait for Piko to release the native Xbox version.
I like the idea of Antstream Arcade, but can't get around how comparatively bad this is for the environment. e.g. most of the retro games on the service run fine on a low-power system like a Raspberry Pi - typically around 5 Watts. But via Antstream Arcade you need the server farm, a constant internet connection and your PC/Console which is likely over a thousand Watts.
It's a shame, but I can't support it for this reason. I hope we can find a better legitimate way to play older titles.
Legend was awesome. Sadly, this was removed from my region.
Wish I could just buy hogs of war. I didn't even want the remake, just the original.
@Beetlebum91 I played it for first time on Antstream, it is rather good
Cool to see more from Antstream. Not a service I'd use but has it's place.
Re-Loaded cool but I own it physical by happen stance like many games that old I just come across randomly in retro stores I'd never heard of as more PS2/Xbox/GameCube+ era familiar than many PS1 gems then again a lot of OG Xbox/360 I'd never heard of either. Loaded is a better game or so I've heard I can't compare.
40 Winks got PS Vita, PS1 version. Besides the N64 version finally releasing with a physical cart cool to see it on modern platforms.
Glover. I mean when is the console version coming out? PC version on Steam came out already.
Where is the modern console port of the N64 version of the game? Piko Interactive come on!
@devil76 I'm surprised it was added, I think some modern audiences wouldn't be happy with some of the stereotypes in it. The gameplay is just really fun.
Well you're right there. The voices were done by Rik Mayell, bit of a comedy icon in Uk
@themightyant I don't quite understand that logic???
You refuse to support Antstream, because it is on a format that requires a server, internet connection and PC/Console, so is generally not good for the environment?
... but I assume you would continue to support a AAA game on that same format, that requires a server, internet connection and PC/Console which again is generally not good for the environment?
You're not really making a difference here at end of the day. Also, Antstream just wanted to reach out to more players... it's not their fault that the format is high powered.
@RetroMan71 A new AAA game will not run on a 5W Raspberry Pi, you are ALREADY having to use 150 - 200W to use your Xbox. Streaming is perhaps only a 5 fold increase to power consumption... though it also reduces other costs like physical distribution to balance that out a little.
Whereas streaming an older retro game might be a 200 fold increase, that's the KEY difference.
It is entirely their fault, their "solution" to retro gaming is complete overkill. It is like using a nuclear weapon to clear one small field.
I agree that as just one person i'm not going to change the world, but with that mentality we never, ever make progress. All I can do is do my small part and alert people to the potential problems of this, some they may not even have considered. Thankfully judging by the relative number of upvotes my original post got - more than the total number of posters - it seems others understand this too.
It isn't anything personal against Antstream or your post, but we all have to make small choices where to do better, this is one I can happily skip. Ymmv.
@themightyant Sorry, of course by doing your bit, you do make a difference, but what I meant by 'not making a difference...' is, even though you'll choose today not to play Antstream on the xbox, because you believe it should be played on something that uses much less power, you're still using the power of xbox for other games.
@RetroMan71 I am.. for some games. But I am also using a Rasperry Pi, or other much lower powered device to play lots of Retro games. I just finished Bahamut Lagoon's fan translation on the Steam Deck for example.
