People forget what a movie and a box of popcorn cost these days or something? If there's even a single game on there I want to play, $18 for a months worth of play is nothing and we as gamers are lucky to have this OPTION. Don't like it, don't purchase, and stop crying.

People are so clueless about NFTs and hate on them cause they don't know what they're talking about. Do you have any collectables? Baseball cards or maybe action figures or something? That's simply what these are, in digital, and tradable format on a block chain. In the video game world though, they can have stats, and actually be used in game. Its REALLY not that big of a deal.

All companies are there for the shareholders. Don't let that bend you out of shape. The quicker you realize it, and follow the money, the quicker you understand why companies do what they do.

Diablo Immortal in creation sure didn't hurt. 30 Million people have signed up for it.

They didn't buy it cause of WoW, CoD, or Diablo.. they bought it for their mobile division. Act/Blizz earnings would have been down had it not been for King. 250M users.

When it comes down to it, it's a personal choice. Sure Xbox has games. With GamePass, literally too many (good thing).

That said, all things being equal, personally, I would rather have the exclusives on the PlayStation, then what's on the Xbox as it sits right now. I say this as an Xbox owner.

Lets be honest in that Sony never wanted game sharing either (lost revenue), but hadn't committed to anything yet. Once MS had committed, this video was a stroke of video game magic that could have literally taken MS out of the video game world altogether.

If anything, this would not happen until Activ/Blizz deal goes through.

They've said this since day 1, and said the same thing with Bethesda. Honoring contracts (Hello Deathloop) but doesn't mean anything after that.

My money is Netflix is the one to make a move. They have their own streaming infrastructure, the money, said they want to get into gaming, and want identifiable IPs.

I don't believe this at all. Mobile is where the money is and Apple is already doing nicely in that area. Would seem a backward step to go into console.

The only way you'll see Activison/Blizz games after contract stuff is if PlayStation gets GamePass. Period.

How about Activisions stock up (at one point) 40% yesterday? Ah yes.. that's positive news.. nobody wants to hear that.

While probably not get the numbers of Candy Crush (I have no clue of them though) but they're also coming out with Diablo Immortal, a free to play (but it's pay to win) mobile game that's pretty darn fun. It IS going to make some serious money.

E3 used to be my grown up Christmas day. I would take the day off work and made sure I had the junk food and 'pops' a ready. Not a surprise to see it go, if it does, but the long time gamer in me will be sad to see that happen for sure.

I'm a 'fresh' unboxer fan myself so I understand, but I also understand some kids/people don't care and just want to play right away.

Also, you can test if it works! Albeit a slim slim chance it doesn't, (and also a slim slim chance you could return it for a new one right now) at least you wouldn't be giving something to someone on Xmas day, getting their hopes up, only to be dashed out completely.

It wasn't bad. 3+ hours is too long tho. They also need to deal with the flow of it.

Don't forget that Sony's streaming is using Microsoft Azure (last I read) so if they were to up that service and use more bandwidth, that'll cost them, and it'll be a nice 'side' win regardless for MS.

Ya I was pumped to see this coming to the X but, for the price, and the lack of next gen features, coupled with so much else out there to play right now, going to take a pass on it.

I just open my map and see a 100 things to do. I think they should dial that back a bit, as I don't feel I've really earned it, nor have I even gotten that much better at the game to actually need to earn it.

Hard to care cause I got it off GamePass, but I would be bummed if I had paid for it, and don't see me buying any of the add-ons.

Personally I only want achievement points for my MS Rewards when I need them. Otherwise, they could be turned off as I'm more bothered when they pop up while playing then anything.

I didn't know the year ended Nov 4th.. like why don't they wait until.. I don't know the end of the year to pick the games?

Well, he's 53 now so.. I don't know, as much as I like him, running a gaming company say for another 10 years bringing him to almost being a senior citizen doesn't seem viable to me. Dude might also want to retire to.

I could see him being replaced maybe in parallel with the Xbox X Pro (or whatever they're calling it). This would allow the new person to run the release of a quasi new console, with Phil there holding their hand. So my bet is on 3ish more years.

Funny, I don't really see the same amount of chatter over no Spiderman or Ratchet on the Xbox. I mean what's the difference there? I don't know about anyone else, but when I buy something, anything, it's mine, and I do what I please with it. Just like MS and Sony are doing. I'm not even sure why this is even a topic of conversation tbh.

@DrJamesOxford Those are my bets as well. Some BC games and Halo MP. Good enough for me.
