Mcpixel 3! A few late night beers and I'm convinced it's a strange masterpiece!

Absolutely mega hyped. Been so long since FM7! GT 7 was a return to form for that series but there's definitely room for improvement and I fully expect FM8 to do so! After what feels like forever it's great to have the Forza/GT main racing series back again!
Probably more hyped for Forza Motorsport than Starfield in honesty.

Best IP of the last 12 months. I'd say it's one of the best games I've ever played in the last 12 years it's that good!

@Tharsman This exactly. Sony own the rights to Heavenly Sword, Capcom own DMC and I think Bandai own the Enslaved licence too.

Happy Story for Ninja Theory too. After Sony took their engine after having developed Heavenly Sword for them, it looked like they were in no man's land development wise. Enslaved and DMC were good, but they were always just one poor game/mishit from going bankrupt. Good end result for everyone all round.

Remember playing this on the X360 with the bonus disc from Quake 4. An absolutely storming soundtrack and fast combat! Genuine classic and would tide the summer wait for Starfield over very nicely indeed!

I'll be downloading the Spotify alp the same time as NFS Unbound in the likely event I find the soundtrack as unbearable as the previous NFS Heat one.

Just saying I don't like this. The optics aren't great for MS here and it's not the Game Pass increase (in my view not quite so egregious) but the price increase on the already released Series X that's the **** thing to do.
Greed is greed. People shouldn't be paying more for something that they could have got for £50 cheaper x3 years ago.

@Ep_13 I agree about the MP being really good and people being sometimes too harsh on Halo, but Halo 5 was utterly awful, there's no defending that one.
It's just all we hear from 343 is they're giving something up to make the "game" better.

@Ep_13 one thing 343 don't need is time... They've botched every game launch since MCC, had all the money and time in the world with Infinite, and still fumbled.
Admittedly the layoffs play a part but the only "talent" in that company are the ones who made the gunplay. Still some of the best in business. Everything else at 343i is just dead weight.
The game is going to need more than a returning mode, X1 BTB and X1 normal map per season going forward if it's to stay relevant.

Suddenly the reason they were able to hit the deadline they were so proud about becomes very apparent...

Biggest Surprise - That Starfield actually looks like the real deal!
Post Redfall I had severely lowered my expectations but the game looks absolutely amazing and I can't wait now!

Season 3 was easily the best the game has been since it first launched. Looking forward to the new season and hopefully the content keeps on coming! Still some of the best gunplay in the business!

The good news about this is it does stop it all from dragging on for longer. The US decision will come quicker now which is only a good thing.

I was hoping the new Forza took inspiration from the recent GT7 in order to make it the better game. I wasn't expecting them to take the worst part (online career)... That's disappointing to put it politely....

Sad news indeed. Hope all the Devs affected by this land on their feet and are ok. Seems to be tough times all round for the tech & software industry job wise with most companies if not cutting jobs at least on a "freeze"

@Zoidpilot4 I know right. Magical new profiles suddenly appearing with doom and troll gloom. Avowed looked awesome in my view! And Xbox showed off gameplay in a game that is still likely 12+ months away from launch. Sony certainly don't do that!

I'm ok with this. All the other Bethesda RPG's I've played since Morrowind onwards were 30FPS so it's not like they're bucking a trend here.

I don't want to get too excited! But I'll take even a remaster of Hexen for consoles like Quake 1 got a couple of years ago.

@UltimateOtaku91 I agree. But with Tears of the Kingdom being so good the GOTY is as good as decided anyway. I'm actually hoping it's not as buggy as I previously feared but the people hoping for 60FPS are definitely faaaaar too optimistic in my view.

And Redfall was treated a little too harshly I feel too. It's certainly NOT GOOD, but I'd rate it at most 1-2 points behind Forspoken. Two wrongs don't make a right, but the wider gaming media can be a little too anti-xbox sometimes (for right or wrong)

@UltimateOtaku91 it's not gonna be bug free, it's not gonna be 60fps, it's not gonna be game of the year, but it's still gonna be pretty damned good I'm sure 😃👍

@UltimateOtaku91 i get you. As much as I loved Flight Simulators "aimlessness" it was just that, aimless. The 2024 one looked to have missions from that trailer. Cargo Drops, Escorts etc... I definitely got the more "same as before but with missions" vibe. Hence my excitement!

@Zoidpilot4 people don't have to love it, but even offering the choice to rate it as an E or F is basically an invite to saying "I'm a troll!"

Entirely unsurprising to see the D/E/F trolls come out in full force from the salty playstation hole they live in.
No matter what console you own, it's not lower than a C unless you're a teen fanboy.

@UltimateOtaku91 you've got to give Flight Simulator a go! Genuinely still the most impressive Home Console game experience I've ever had! What I love about Xbox is their genre variety. What they lack in Sony polish, they make up for with gameplay diversity.

It's a B from me. A very good showcase, but falls sadly into the "tomorrow is the day" narrative Xbox is struggling with lately. Could definitely have benefited from a shadow drop or 2023 1st party surprise.
That said, what's shown was amazing and easily the best showcase this year so far.

On the very form you link to, on page 2 of the most recent document it states that MS recorded a profit pre tax of £228,618,000 which is actually 75million lower than the 300million I originally quoted.

Microsoft are a business and it'll come down to cold hard numbers. They have an operating profit of 300million in the UK per year. The penalty to pay to AB if the deal doesn't go through is 3billion.
The idea that MS are saying "empty threats" and "intimidation" is just factually wrong. From a business sense they really could pull out the UK market, not from pettiness but just due to the finances.
It's precisely because of this that their comments need to be taken seriously. Real UK jobs are at risk and it's currently through no fault of MS but the CMA. Discussions obviously have to be had.

I'm sure that "in-engine" comment is actually referring to Forza Motorsport when we get a close up look in Forzavista 😅🤣

They made another game for Xbox as well. Song of the Deep which is a very solid fun metroidvania! Much better than the EA bungled Fuse too.
One of the best developers in the world for sure!

Revengeance is one of my fav games of all time! So that's my vote.
If I had to give it to a more "typical" MGS experience I'd go with MGS2! The bait and switch with Snake and Raiden is amazing, very good gameplay, cutscenes "relatively" not too long. Classic!

I reckon we'll see a new smaller Double Fine game announced at the showcase. Psychonauts 2 was 2 years ago and they had other games in development which they put on hold to prioritise that title. They normally put a game out every couple of years so a new interesting game from then makes sense!

Of course Xbox congrats Sony on the showcase. Pretty much every game shown is coming to Xbox. Add in the Sony Wii U and their CGI trailered Redfall games at the beginning and I'm reckoning Phil Spencer can't believe his luck.

Waaaay too many remakes and remasters in that list for my liking!
Hi-Fi Rush is a masterpiece and fully deserves it's spot!
+1 for Wo Long as well. That game was also amazing!

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for me. Absolutely superb game that deserves all the praise it gets. My Xbox isn't totally useless though as I'm replaying Evil Within and shall get an hour or two played.
