Xbox has announced a partnership with Warner Bros. on the brand-new Barbie film, which includes a custom Xbox Series S with multiple controller faceplates, free content for Forza Horizon 5 and more!
The console, which you can see above, is designed after Barbie's Dreamhouse and is described as "one of our most playful custom console designs in recent years". As usual, you unfortunately won't be able to buy it, but Microsoft says that you'll have a chance to win one via "Xbox and Microsoft Rewards" beginning July 10th.
"From her DreamHouse to her dream closet, Barbie’s iconic style is unmatched. Now, you can bring her fashion-forward genius to your gaming setup with interchangeable Xbox Wireless Controller faceplates designed after Barbie and Ken’s distinct on-screen outfits.

The Forza Horizon 5 content is available to everyone - you can claim the 1956 Chevrolet Corvette EV Corvette and 2022 GMC Hummer EV Pickup via the in-game Message Center starting today.
Finally, Xbox will also be holding an international sweepstakes for ten Barbie dolls that have been outfitted with the "latest Xbox Gear fashion" as well as various Xbox related accessories. There's no date for this giveaway just yet.
The movie itself launches worldwide beginning July 19th — it certainly looks like it'll be a popular one!

The console I actually get as a promotional thing. I even think the controllers with those faceplates might actually sell reasonably well but it's the game that is paired with that doesn't seem to fit right even though it has a couple of cars just randomly added.

@Wheatly I know and it’s stupid. People specifically look for limited consoles. It’s dumb.
I'd keep some of those controllers and immediately sell the console for much more than the console would cost retail.
If I won either of those cars I'd replace the EV engine on the '56 and sell the ugly Hummer to someone who wanted to replace the stupid EV engine. No one in their right mind would want an EV engine on a Hummer. Maybe. Anyone who would drive that ugly car might like it.

Not my thing but then I guess its not really aimed at 'me' or many of those likely frequenting sites like these and the comments section, but there are a few who may have daughters and know 'Barbie Pink' is cool so - I'm told...
My reaction is why not? if it encourages more people to play - that 56 Vette is a Cool car - I'd be OK driving that in Real Life.
If more and more people get 'interested' in Cars, in driving around and having 'fun' or 'Competition' when its more 'even' (Gender doesn't matter at all in video game competition - no-one has an advantage), then why not? It may inspire them and help shape their future in maybe ways Games have for others...

One thing I can assure you, with this console you don't need to turn the lights on to know where it is.
Cute. Also how do you change faceplates? Do you have to take the controller apart? I don't think I could do that as I'm not good at putting it back the way it's supposed to be.

This is actually pretty cool, compared to PS new custom, which looks like a dozen 4yr Olds were given stickers and crayons and told to slap stuff anywhere
It seems like nobody noticed, but this is showing off an Xbox controller with a mute button in the middle that apparently has swappable faceplates.
