It's time for the weekend! There's plenty to enjoy on Xbox over the next couple of days including various new Xbox Game Pass titles, four Xbox Free Play Days additions, and a ridiculous number of deals in the Xbox Ultimate Game Sale!
Here's what we're playing this weekend:

I'm really in a sport mood at the moment, so my weekend list perhaps looks a little strange! AEW: Fight Forever is still in my rotation as I continue my third playthrough of the Road to Elite career mode, and Cricket 22 on Xbox Game Pass is also something I'm enjoying alongside the real life Ashes series between England and Australia.
Last weekend, I ended up buying PES 2013 for Xbox 360 as well (for just 50p!), and it's something that I've ended up getting pretty hooked on. That's definitely in the plans for this weekend, although it just makes me feel even more disappointed that Konami killed off the Pro Evolution Soccer series in favour of eFootball 2023.
Have a good weekend, folks!

This weekend I'm ah... celebrating a certain victory by playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 on Xbox Series X. I'm spending most of my time with the new 'Vondel Waterfront' multiplayer map, designed for 6v6 matches. I am not exactly a CoD regular, but this map has been quite fun so far! If I really get into it, I might even drop into Warzone 2.0.
Apart from this, I'm (still) playing Halo Infinite's latest season, and I'm also planning to at some point check out the new season of the Halo: The Master Chief Collection and all the cool content that's recently been added to the PC version. Oh, I also downloaded Exoprimal, so I might fit that in at some point as well.
Enjoy your weekend, everyone!
What Xbox games are you playing this weekend? Let us know down in the comments below.

I tried exoprimal for a couple hours. That game is not for me. I found the gameplay loop boring right out of the gate.
Xbox - tom clancy ghost recon wildlands
Ps2 - ace combat 5
Ps5 - final fantasy 7 remake
Pc - far Cry 3 blood dragon/xcom enemy unknown
Picked up Control: Ultimate Edition and think I might jump into that, but I just hit the Bloody Baron quest-line in Witcher III and it looks so pretty with the next-gen-patch. Too many games, not enough time.
Just finished FF 16 on Thursday game of the year so far for me the story was absolutely fantastic. I've started Days Gone again hopefully actually get to the end this time. I'll also be playing some Exoprimal on Gamepass later with my brother this game is more fun than i was expecting but needs more content.
Gta 5 for me again for me on gamepass im enjoyiing it at 60fps I've got all 3 systems ps5 series s and a switch I can't find enough time play on everything on gamepass and ps plus it's crazy I suppose it's a good problem have
@Kaloudz that game looks terrible makes fifa look like the best game ever 😆
Mcpixel 3! A few late night beers and I'm convinced it's a strange masterpiece!
Tried Exoprimal, wanted it to be like Second Extinction considering it appears to have been abandoned, disappointed it wasn't, so it'll be more Atari 50th for me this weekend
I’m not playing anything this weekend because I’m in Nashville, TN with my wife. I surprised her with Blink-182 tickets for her birthday, so we are both excited to celebrate the occasion.
With that said, I’ve still been playing Final Fantasy 16. Unfortunately, I was unable to beat the game before heading out of town, but I am 92% of the way complete, with 64hrs played according to my PSN stats, and 41/50 trophies. I’m taking my time with the game and doing every side quest that comes along.
My thoughts have stayed the same - this game is absolutely incredible. It continues to get better and better as the story progresses, and the side quests - if you do them all as they present themselves - really tell a compelling story towards the end.
The amount of optional cutscenes is fantastic, especially during: Trading Places II; Rekindling the Flame II; Blacksmith Blue’s IV — the side quests that provide signboards to you for the trophy. This, along with the missives that are back at the hideaway provide world-building and character development with fulfilling payoffs.
I’m really looking forward to completing this journey even though I don’t want to end. The last few boss fights and everything leading up to it is phenomenal and I want more. And the soundtrack in its entirety, particularly near the endgame — just wow. Here’s hoping for that potential DLC!
I beat Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition last saterday on Ps5 and I’m currently replaying Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade.
I’m also still playing Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 3 Wilds on my Switch and Ps5 with friends.
Lastly I’m thinking of starting Final Fantasy VII Remastered and/or Crisis Core Final Fantasy VII Reunion on the Switch.
I will be doing an evil playthrough in GreedFall! After I'm done with the game, I'll jump straight into Jedi Survivor (maybe not straight since I'm gay lmao). Hope everyone has a lovely weekend!
I finished up halo 4 the other day .(played through 1-4 on the MCC. I started halo 5 guardians last night
What's everyone's opinion on halo 5, because I've done the first 2 missions and I'm really not sure about it.
The fact that some of the controls have changed threw me to begin with. The gameplay feels different and I'm not sure if I like the whole team based thing in the campaign
Let me know your thoughts guys 👍👍
I'm going to give Aliens: Dark Descent another go. The game has a steep learning curve and I ended up losing a lot of my marines on my second go. Gonna give it a 3rd restart but I'm just dreading going through the lifeless tutorial. Decent game though
On PS5 i will be playing Final Fantasy 16, currently 65% done and it's been a blast so far and definitely moving closer to becoming my favourite FF title. I will also be playing some Atelier Marie Remake and Cat Quest which the latter I have found to be quite fun so far.
On Switch I will be continuing with Zelda TOTK after I've had a month break, so much to do and explore I had to give it a rest but I'm looking forward to continuing, I will also be playing Master Detective Archive and of course some Splatoon 3 for the latest splatfest, team mint it is but that's only because the misses forced this choice upon me 😑.
I am more than 25hs into deathloop.
Taking my sweet time with it, though i think i might be approaching the end.
This game is marvelous. I bounced back a few times cause at first it seems too complicated but then all the pieces fall into place.
Can't recommend it enough.
I'm playing Jedi Survivor on PS5. A good game when its not crashing or having audio sync issues & looking like a Bruce Lee movie. I may give Exoprimal a go on Xbox if any friends are playing.
Have a good weekend everyone!
Halo Infinite Squad Battle all weekend long. This is pure joy. Classic Halo map design with modern Halo mechanics is the best thing in a while. It doesn’t hurt there’s the career rank system too.
Finished up planet of Lana yesterday a couple of grrr puzzles but overall it was so good def 👍🏼👍🏼 wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for gamepass
Playing f.i.s.t. feels like I'm almost at the end boss giving me a tad bit trouble but amazing game love it not a lot of people talking about it
Just started Bramble so far so good
Any suggestions send them my way 🙃
Diablo 3 and Aew on switch. On xbox, Tomb Raider DE.
@Kaloudz that's the one 😆 it's shockingly bad
Put another vote down for Final Fantasy 16; I can’t get enough. Easily my GoTY so far.
On the Switch side, I resumed playing Mario+Rabbids and got hooked. Maybe I’m a tactics guy after all?
Oh Xbox I’m prepping for MK1 by replaying the Netherrealm trilogy — starting with Mortal Kombat 9, thanks to backwards compatibility!
Exoprimal and Arcade Paradise on Series X.
Related, I have a newborn so I’m up throughout the night keeping the wife company as she feeds. She doesn’t care what I do but appreciates the extra set of eyes to make sure she doesn’t fall asleep.
I’m kinda burning through my switch games and looking for something lively I can play Xcloud. Touch controls would be great but I also have a controller with a clip — just looking for something that is great on Xcloud and would keep me engaged, while not being a game I feel like I need to play on the giant tv/I’m missing out playing on my phone. Bonus points if sound isn’t necessary.
I'm playing Call Of Duty WW2 campaign..
I'm playing Eldritch on PC which is a rogue-like FPS with immersive sim elements made by a couple of guys who (separately) worked on Bioshock 2 and Borderlands. I'm enjoying it. Fun little game.
Trying to finish Diablo 4. Also, Playing Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. Amazing game.
Angry Birds Rio (Windows Phone) - Nearing the halfway point on levels beaten now.
Imperia Online (Windows Phone) - Past the halfway point with this one.
Marvel's. Midnight. Suns.
Still hooked on it. I've racked up 78 hours of playtime in the 2 weeks I've had it. Technically, I'm right at the end with just the final mission left to do, but I'm grinding out friendship levels with the last few heroes because I kinda don't want it to end.
Series X: I’ll try Exoprimal and want to start Need for Speed Unbound. I’m also working my way through the story mode in Sonic Origins Plus.
Switch: Mario Kart 8 online with my boy Wiggler. I’m also about to wrap up Bowser’s Fury. After that, I’m jumping back into Breath of the Wild. I never beat it when it came out back in 2017 so I’m playing through it again now and enjoying it a lot more.
PC: Just a bit of Crab Champions. My brother gifted it to me the other day and I played it with him and his buddies. I’m terrible at it but it’s pretty fun.
After finishing Hogwarts Legacy I've now started Metro Exodus. In terms of multiplayer I've started Exoprimal so will give that more of a go.
Right this weekend is a kinda simple one. Having beaten Bayonetta Origins earlier this week I’m putting a pause on my work through Nintendo 1st Party backlog and swapping over to my 3rd Party Backlog hence my choice this week of Trails To Azure. I’m on chapter 2 and am really looking to speed through this game so I can get to Reverie. Honestly I’m almost tempted to just start Reverie for a little today just to get a taste of the game I’ve been waiting for 3 years for. I already got in some participation of the Splatfest in Splatoon this weekend. Team Mint Chip so as to be able to play with friends. Might get some Mario Kart in this weekend too so as to try the new tracks out too. Over on PS5 it’s a random time consisting of playing FFXVI, buying Witch on the Holy Night and reinstalling DNF Duel and buying its first DLC character Spectre. In other areas my sweatshirt of one of my favorite VTUBERS Sinder finally came in so I’m fairly happy with that. The Limited Edition copies of Rain Code are finally out so hopefully my copy arrives soon of that. And I’m getting ready to start my Summer Anime finally with the inaugural first two of the season, Atelier Ryza and My Tiny Senpai. I did finish up all my spring anime this week with the finishing one being Gundam Witch and seeing as it took Second in my overall ranking only beaten out by the immeasurable Oshi No Ko I imagine y’all can guess my feelings on it hahahaha. Wishing everyone a awesome weekend and Happy Gaming y’all.
Exoprimal all the way. Really having fun with this one.
Yo all. Long time reader 1st time comment.
XsX I'll be replaying Gears Tactics on GP. Also still enjoying Elden Ring and Bards Tale (OG not directors cut).
Switch I'll be still working my way through Luigis Mansion. Never actually ginished it.
Evercade playing through Codemasters Dizzy collection and Bitmap Brothers collection. Replaying Chaos engine years later in 1080p in couch co-op is awesome.
Gamecube. Loving replaying Simpsons Hit N Run. Haven't laughed so hard at a game in ages. Also with a decent AVi to HDMi 1080p upscaler looks great.
PS4 pro. Nothing atm, just awaiting a new SSD so I can upgrade the aging HD. Gonna do full re-furbish, thermal paste, the whole nine yards. Still a great console imo.
PS3. Nothing atm.
Ok gonna go. Great site guys.
TC all and have fun out there.
@jedinite Gears Tactics is something I've been meaning to go back to for a while. Gears translates really well into a turn-based strategy setting.
On Xbox, still Street Fighter 6, AEW: Fight Forever and gotten back into Super Street Fighter IV, just recently bought the DLC to upgrade it to Ultra.
Just Beat: System Shock (PC) & Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3)
Now Playing: Doom 2 (Series X); Dead Rising (Series X) & Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance (Series X)
Up Next: Blake Stone - Planet Strike (PC); Dead Rising 2 (Series X) & Metal Gear Solid 5 (PS4)
@jedinite I respect the breadth of your current playlist, your username and your profile pic! Game on!
Ghost recon wildlands. Actually bought it a few months back and wasn't impressed. But spent a little time on it and wow, what a fantastic game. And this is where I guess gamepass is a good thing for devs. I'm enjoying it so much, I saw Breakpoint was on sale, down from £100 to £20 so redeemed some rewards points and bought it.
I'm just loving the "do what you want, when you want" aspect of wildlands. And the various ways of clearing outposts etc. Sneaky, in and out with Intel, running in guns a blazing, calling for a diversion, and of course.... Running baddies over in a clapped out pick up truck 😂
On PC I'm playing tonnes of retro games I got on a Batocera drive from Aliexpress. Best £70 I've spent in ages. Virtual Tennis from the dreamcast.... There hasn't been a better tennis game since.
Happy gaming people!
@Altaria_97 Don't try NFS Unbound. Let me save you precious minutes of your life you'll never get back. It's terrible. Like REALLY bad. In terms of actual good driving mechanics, I still think Payback was the best of them.
Looks like Ill have ff16 finally finished this weekend.
I think Ill try bramble on game pass next... I fancy something short and sweet and I find that dark european folk stuff very appealing.
Have a great one..
@Grail_Quest thank you sir
