Re: Indiana Jones And The Great Circle Preview - MachineGames' Latest Xbox Adventure Is Looking Whip-Smart

This doesn't look like the Xbox Uncharted I was hoping for. The 1st person punching looks annoying. The only wow moment has been the reveal of Harrison Ford's likeness in the first trailer. But I enjoy Wolfenstein games and it looks like a breezy, quick game so I'll play it and probably like it enough. It's just wild to me that Xbox STILL doesn't have a system selling game 4 years into this cycle.

I don't mind switching back to Sony for the next generation, but I keep peering over the fence and don't see much there either. There are wider issues for the console space in general.

Also, Microsoft launched X/S without bangers though and we're STILL waiting. There is still lots to play (I'm currently playing Jedi Survivor on GP and loving it) but mindshare is vital.

Nothing blew me away. Indy looks promising but not totally convincing (yet). Although it’s the closest Xbox has come to a system seller so far. Mana looked pedestrian. Same with Avowed. Ara’s not for me. Feel like I’ve played Hellblade already at this point. And the earliest date we saw was end of May? Bit sad that we are 4 years in and nothing has truly wowed me yet except maybe Fable and Replaced.

A Jurassic World tie-in. A new island, slightly off the current map. Illegal races through dino-infested biomes. Escape pterodactyls on dirt-bikes and/or wingsuits. Race 4x4's alongside dino herds while a T-Rex bears down in the rearview mirror. Beat hungry dinos down a mountain to a waiting boat. Out-run a volcano. When he visits to open the park, you are Jeff Goldblum's chauffeur on a disaster-laden VIP tour. Rescue a reclusive novelist (Michael Chrichton) from his jungle compound and transport him to safety using a variety of vehicles while enjoying his excited narration. Race through a series of Ratchet-style time-holes, jumping seamlessly between now, the actual Jurassic era and an extreme-weather future. And Laura Dern on comms as my (nervous) race manager.
