Re: Halo Infinite Developer Talks In Depth About Why Local Campaign Co-Op Was Cancelled

Trmn8r

Local co-op has 0.0% impact on me as split-screen is not something I (nor most people) do anymore unless it's a quick game like Mario Kart. What is more frustrating is their excuse that they don't have the time to do it. Well, they sure haven't been doing much this last year, so where is all that time going? The gross lack of multiplayer content is ridiculous. No excuse to not have more maps. 2 maps! 2?!?!? That's it?!?! Insane!
Time management is a "management" issue. I know one higher up stepped down from 343 for other reasons, but they seriously need to clean house on the management staff there. It's just inexcusable.

Re: Many Studios Are 'Desperately' Struggling With Xbox Series S, Claims Developer

Trmn8r

@Fenbops Lol that would be industry suicide for Xbox to do that. That is a terrible idea. Devs have to scale down all the time for PC. Most still say S isn't a problem. There are a select few that do. I think some just don't like that it is more work. But these devs need to realize that the lower price point of the S brings in more consumers of their games. Xbox isn't going to just screw over S owners and go with your idea. That would probably kill Xbox as a whole if they pulled that stunt.

Re: Reaction: Is 30FPS Good Enough For An Xbox Series X|S Game?

Trmn8r

@Dr_Luigi There was a lot of "new technology" touted that were unknowns with this, however. The SSDs were cutting edge at the time and the new "Xbox Velocity Architecture" they said wasn't even implemented at launch. And yet, we are not seeing it's fruit to this day. Yes, the graphics card itself left questions. But they definitely alluded to the possibility of it through the use of these other means and it appears to have been a lie for the most part. Sony played much of the same game with their own gimmicks. This was marketed as the 4k60 with RT generation. And it obviously, isn't the case. I think the hardware leap this generation is more of a half generation leap.

Re: PlatinumGames Explains Why Its New Releases Never Come To Xbox Anymore

Trmn8r

I'm actually surprised no one has mentioned this, but what has happened between Platinum Games and Microsoft?
SCALEBOUND!
Microsoft pulled the project late and that was Platinum's last partnership with them. Can't say that hasn't had a significant level of impact on their relationship.
Nintendo has also been funding and publishing most of their recent efforts Astral Chain/Bayonetta 3. As well as Sony/Square on that disaster Babylon's Fall made be their C squad.

Re: Projekt Z Is An Upcoming 'Atmospheric Zombie FPS' For Xbox Series X And S

Trmn8r

I wouldn't recommend backing anything on Kickstarter. They have absolutely zero buyer/investor protections whatsoever. People can take your money run away, give you no updates for years and Kickstarter will not refund you. Kickstarter claims the developer has to complete the product and give regular updates or they have to refund you. But I literally have products I've kickstarted over 4 years ago that haven't had any updates. I reach out to them and have no response. I reach out to Kickstarter and they claim I have to reach out to the developer or wait until they fulfill it... But they sure are fine taking their cut of your funding themselves. This game didn't get enough funding through KS and found a publisher to partner with. Regardless, I've been burned too many times on Kickstarter to ever support those scammers again.

Re: Microsoft Bites Back As Sony Reveals New 'Call Of Duty' Concerns

Trmn8r

Nothing like playing the victim while sitting on the throne from Sony. "Oh no! This move would benefit Microsoft and hurt us!!??!?!" Well no shizz Sherlock! Why wouldn't Microsoft do a move that makes them more competitive? That's the entire point! Just can't believe how dumb these people are that are delaying ruling on this. That, or they are just power tripping and enjoy flexing on big corps.

Re: Xbox Activision Blizzard Deal Officially Approved In Brazil

Trmn8r

Should've been an easy approval everywhere. Even after this acquisition, Microsoft is still a close 3rd in market share behind Sony at 2nd. Meanwhile, no one gives a crap that the CCP owns the highest market share (via Tencent)... Sony's argument is that it'll hurt them. Well of course it will! What do you think all your paying devs to prevent them from going to Xbox does to Microsoft? It's called competition and Sony is mad that they have to compete now and can't just walk to the podium as usual. It's totally obvious that there is no monopoly at play in the acquisition, not even by genre. So, it's just governments flexing their power and being a nuisance because they can at this point...

Re: Xbox's 'Improved' Elite Series 2 Controller Is Getting Mixed Feedback So Far

Trmn8r

I moved on to Scuf Instinct Pro. Disappointing to see they refuse to make quality of life changes that this controller needs (Built in rear buttons, joystick caps that don't fall out when pressed hard, early drift issues, trigger clickers vs physical trigger stops, hand grips that are prone to peeling). They needed a new iteration for this generation and instead we got a gutted version of the Scuf 2 with removed features that practically, defeat the entire purpose of it...

Re: Six Games Are Available Today With Xbox Game Pass (September 15)

Trmn8r

@uptownsoul Two things can be right at the same time. I can be disappointed in something while still saying it's a good value. I know you are desperate to draw your conclusion a different way though, which is why you kept re-asking the same question... Lol, you guess our expectations are different? No, they are obviously different.
